1 1.0 Star Dancer

Wang Tian He awoke and in front of her was a huge white space. She had just finished demonstrating her mastery on her sword skills to her Imperial mother and father, but when she turned around to seek their opinions, there was a huge flash of light, and she found herself here.

At first, she thought she was dreaming, but when she pitched her cheeks, hard, she felt pain.

So, she wasn't dreaming, and she's stuck in a white spacious place. She had tried to walk around to see if she could find the exit, but no matter how far she walked, she still didn't see anything; it was nothing but whiteness and more whiteness.

Why would they build such a huge white space just to kidnap me?

Tian He had patience to wait and see who exactly had kidnapped her, it was unpleasant to think about, but she knew that this would happen eventually. Since she was the 3rd princess of Wang's Ancient Empire and was gifted in many arts, she was the perfect target for ransom. She just couldn't figure out what kind of powerful forces have kidnapped her right under the noses and protection of the imperial palace. She hoped her Imperial mother and father were okay.

When it felt like she waited for a whole day without any response, she grew annoyed. How come nobody is coming out to speak to her? Don't they want money?

"Hello, please show yourself, we can talk about this." Tian He put away her manners as a princess and wasn't stupid enough to address them with a 'this princess' speech.

Who would anger their kidnappers, isn't that just asking to be abused?

After a moment, she still heard no reply and grew suspicious. Shouldn't usual kidnappers be demanding their money by now. She understands that they would seal her in a space without anything, probably to scare her and make her lower her guard, but it was taking too long.

Before she could say anything else, she saw a pink fluffy looking light ball in front of her. It appeared so abruptly that she didn't have time to respond. What is that? The girl in her wanted to touch and feel it, but the rational her held her back.

"Host, I'm sorry for leaving you in here for so long. Once I summoned you, I wanted to immediately talk to you, but I was making last minute arrangements, so I arrived late." The pink fluffy ball of light started talking. If one could see its face, it's probably making a pouty face with its childish voice.

Tian He was shocked. She had never seen anything like this. Where she came from, floating pink fluffy lights don't talk, the hell, it didn't even exist. Now that she felt this pink presence, and didn't sense any danger, she relaxed.

"Hey, since you've 'summoned' me, bring me back, I still haven't sought the opinions of Imperial mother and father on my latest sword skills. Also, they must be worried since I've been gone for so long." Tian He didn't bother speaking polite to something that forcibly took her to this place.

"Host, I'm sorry, I can't do that. But don't worry, once you've completed all the tasks, the main system will send you back right where you left off, no one will be able to notice that you were gone." The floating pink ball of light says assuringly.

"What?! What do you mean you can't?" Tian He was getting super annoyed with this thing, even if no one knows that she's gone, this is still blatant kidnapping!

"In replies to host, I don't have the power to do that, I'm just an assistant system to the main system. My job is to only successfully help the host complete their tasks."

"Okay, then get the main system to come out and send me back." Tian He didn't understand what 'system' meant, but judging from this thing's speech, this 'main system' has the power to send her back.

"Sorry, host, the main system is the one that assigned us hosts and tasks, it gave me the mission to bring you out of your old world and into this space. Certain tasks need to be completed by the hosts it selects in order to maintain the function of the many worlds the main system controls. It needs the host's help." By now, the little pink fluffy ball was shrinking, and its speech was getting softer.

"What?! How dare it use me?! Let me speck with it, I'll convince him to send me back." Tian He was speechless, this rude 'main system' thinks that it could just kidnap an imperial princess and make her work for him? Dream on!

"Sorry host, the main system's orders are always absolute, it has never changed its decision before. Many of the other hosts were in the same position as you and they've gradually learned to accept it."

Seeing the host growing angrier with each word, the pink fluffy ball of light quickly adds, "Oh, but don't worry host, I guarantee that I'll keep you safe. Once you've completed all your tasks, you'll be automatically sent back to your own world, and you'll get special prizes for each task you complete at the end."

Tian He felt like she wanted to explode, however; she quickly calmed down. Now she was stuck in a space, with no way of returning except accepting these 'tasks' that this thing says.

And it sounds like I'm not the only one in this situation. First, lets calmly deal with it and see how things go.

"Okay, please tell me what is this special prize that you've mentioned?" Tian He needed this thing's help to eventually go back home, so she had to be nice to it.

The pink fluffy ball of light was delighted that its host wasn't mad anymore and enthusiastically started explaining. "In replies to host, the special prizes can be anything you want from the many worlds that you've visited. The better your tasks are completed, the more prizes you get to choose. For me, since I'm the 'All Stars System', host's tasks will be mainly focused on succeeding in the entertainment world. For example, the world we'll be going to first is similar to your old world's setting, except it's a bit different from your old world's entertainment industry, but that's alright, you have me, the all powerful 'All Stars System' to help you." The pink fluffy ball of light looked like it was waiting for praise.

Tian He couldn't believe the words she heard. Entertainment tasks? She had to entertain people?! She is Wang's Ancient Empire most noble third princess and she had to entertain people?! Isn't this just outrightly shaming her?

"All Stars system, I think your main system made a mistake, I can't complete these entertainment tasks, I'm not fit for it. Choose another task for me." Tian He couldn't imagine herself performing and having strangers look at her. She couldn't see anything good from it.

"Host, please call me Stars 1.0, or Stars, or Little Stars is good too, All Stars system is just too long." The pink fluffy ball of light begged childishly.

Tian He was starting to think that she needed a change of 'assistant systems' too. This one looked like it just hatched from wherever it came from.

"Little, Stars," Tian He slowly pronounced those words out. "I will take on other tasks, please talk to the main system and have it change my tasks."

Little Stars was happy that Tian He was calling its name, if it had cheeks right now, it would be blushing, this was the first time anyone has ever called it.

It proudly raised its non-existent chest and replied, "Host, don't worry, according to what the main system reviewed, you fit perfectly well with the role of an entertainer, not only are you adept in the arts of singing, dancing, painting, acting, calligraphy, qin, chess and flute playing, you've also mastered martial arts, horseback riding, sword fighting and archery. You've mastered everything at the tender age of 16, so the main system has judged you to have exceptional learning abilities and it was a waste not to show it to the world."

Just announcing all of Tian He accomplishments, made Little Stars extremely proud, like it was the one that mastered everything.

Tian He was dumbfounded, she couldn't believe that just by learning a few arts because she was bored, she was designated as the 'perfect' host to complete entertainment tasks. If she had knew sooner, she would have just not learned it at all. She had no one to complain to now, it looked little stars was adamant it its decision.

Tian He took a deep breath and asked, "Little Stars, you've just said that we needed to go to 'another world' to complete the tasks, just what exactly do I have to do?"

"In replies to host, the tasks are to make sure the target person is able to fulfill their dreams and become successful in the entertainment industry. The target person will be people who have failed their dreams once and left behind everlasting regrets, causing disturbances that interfere with the control of the main system. This usually won't be a problem, but recently there was a virus on the loose, so the main system couldn't fix the worlds while trying to get rid of the virus at the same time, so it sent us 'assistant systems' out to help it. The many worlds will be counting on the hosts to help restore it." Little stars greatly encouraged.

Tian He was about to shout, your control over your worlds are having a problem, what does that have anything to do with me?!

Little Stars didn't notice its host was fuming, "Host's soul will take over the target person and help them fulfill their dreams, once you're done, the target's soul will come back and you'll leave. Since this is host's first time taking on a task, the beginner's package is assigned to you. It will allow the first 3 worlds to be on easy mode and will freely gift you with 3 items of your picking in the 'All Stars System's' store. However, host can only use more items in the store after completing the tasks." Little Stars glowed a bit brighter and in front of Tian He was a list of the many items in the 'store'.

Tian He saw voice enhancing pill, flexibility enhancing pill, beauty pill, body slimming pill, strength enhancing pill, hair enhancing pill, skin enhancing pill, uh, there's too many in here. She scrolled all the way down, but she saw that the items down there were grayed.

Little Stars timely intervened, "The gray colored ones aren't accessible to host until you've completed a specific number of assigned tasks in the worlds we go to."

Although Tian He was curious about the grayed colored items, she concentrated on Little Stars for now. "Little Stars, you've said that once I've completed a task in a world, I get to choose a prize, do they include these items in this store?"

"In replies to Host, the items that you've used in the worlds you complete tasks in, can be taken back to your original world, but you could only choose one from each world to take back. Host does not have to make a decision now, please consider carefully while choosing later host."

Tian He contemplated Little Stars words. If she could take the beauty pill and skin enhancing pill back to her own world, and somehow come up with the formula, she could easily make a fortune, and by then she wouldn't have to get married and could continue her free life of doing anything she liked.

Also, it looked like the more tasks she completed, the more she'll obtain. She knew that even though her Imperial mother and father loved her, they wouldn't let her stay unmarried. She had an obligation as a princess to marry and contribute to the Empire's prosperity. Keeping her goal in mind she became a bit interested in these tasks.

"Little Stars, I have taken the words you've said to heart. I shall complete these tasks in these worlds, and work hard to return home, please take care of me from now on." Tian He sincerely said.

Little Stars was happy that the host has come to a decision, "Host, I'm glad to be at your service, I will do the best I can to assist you in these tasks, now let's go off to the first world."
