3 Chapter 2.5: rikus letter x curious king

Uryu's POV

1 hour after Riku disappeared. Uryu's room

It's strange, I was just walking home from school with my brother Riku and suddenly he vanishes. He had a contemplating look on his face saying "something big will happen soon." Then right after that he vanishes, I could not even sense his spiritual pressure.

This is worrisome, but I'm sure he's ok. He's strong afterall. I've seen him training hard to get stronger, which inspired me to work harder to increase my strength. I'm sure he can handle a few soul reapers in a fight.

Then I suddenly remembered the he told me to open the letter he gave me if something happened to him.

I went to my table and took out the envelope he gave me. I took out a letter opener and cut the envelope open.

*Rrrrrip*

I took out the paper in the envelope and start to read it.

Dear Uryu,

If you're reading this, then it seems I've either disappeared or died. If you've seen my dead body, then I'm sorry that I left you alone. But you didn't see my body the I disappeared. If I disappeared then I don't want you to blame the soul reapers because there's a possibility that they are not responsible for my disappearance.

Me: 'Well he does have a point. Even if the soul reapers are enemies of the Quincy that doesn't mean they are responsible for every bad thing that happens to the Quincy. Innocent until proven guilty right?' I thought before continuing to read the letter.

Also there's something that I wanted to let you know about me that I've never told anyone. I have memories of my past life, it did not have soul reapers, Quincy or hollows. I was a soldier in my last life so I know about losing friends in the field of battle. I was an only child, never had a sibling so I was nervous when I found out I had a sibling in this life but I tried my best to be the best big brother to you.

He had memories from a past life!? That's sounds nuts, but when I stop to think about it some of his behavior makes sense. He did seem to know more then a guy his age should and seem to have experience in training and teaching people.

But let's get to the important info I wanted to share with you. In my past life, there were many different mangas and animes; one of which tells of a world like this one and since you and I were born I noticed that the history of that world was like this one especially with our family. However it had one big difference, I was not born in that world, even wating anime and reading manga in my past life I always thought that there could be actual worlds based on fiction. I've seen that things happened the same way, mother dying when we were kids, sensei was killed by a hollow, our fathers hatred of being a Quincy. I believe that the history is the same, so i believe I know the real reason why mom died but I know it will sound unbelievable.

The real reason mom died!? So it wasn't from just an illness? Was that why father did a long autopsy on mom after she died? From what I can tell, Riku wasnt sure if I would believe all this but ill keep reading and find out.

The real reason mom died was because of something that happened 1000 years ago; I know youve heard of the Quincy extermination but there was a war between Quincies and Soul Reapers 1000 years ago led by the king of the Quincies known as Yhwach. He lost the war but wasn't completely killed, after the war it was said "the confined quincy king would regain his pulse after 900 years, his mind after 90 years and his strength after nine years." He would regain his powers by robbing quincies he deemed impure of their powers and making those powers his own through a ritual called the [Auswählen].

That's how our mother died, because of the [Auswählen]? Riku is right, it definitely sounds unbelievable to me, but I can't deny that its not impossible. Is it possible that our sensei lost his powers while fighting the hollow that killed him? lets continue the letter.

I'm guessing that now your thinking that our sensei/grandfather lost his powers fighting the hollow that killed him. honestly I'm not sure myself but its possible. many quincies died because of the [Auswählen], some like our mother who was sick before her powers were taken away leaving her body too weak to fight the illness. Some lost their powers while fighting a hollow, like a woman named Misaki Kurosaki died fighting a hollow to protect her son Ichigo. That's right, Ichigo Kurosakis mother was a Quincy, which made him part Quincy though he does not know about his mothers heritage. Also his father is a formal soul reaper who sacrificed his powers to save Misaki, a Quincy who saved his life.

Ichigo has Quincy and soul reaper blood? Not only that but his mother died protecting him from a hollow? I never knew that he's had such a rough life, his father and his sisters must have kept him grounded and helped him through his grief like how Riku was there for me. Oh there's more in the letter.

Also please do know tell Ichigo about his mother. If he hears is from you or me he may not believe it, but his dad knows what happed to her and he'll tell ichigo when the time is right. My goal is to defeat Yhwach, because when he recovers his strength he will attack the soul reapers again which could lead to the end of our people for good. When I was born I wanted to make sure the Quincies live happy and peaceful lives but under his rule that will not happen. If I somehow ended up in another world with my memories and abilities intact I will find a way to get home and when the time comes to face Yhwach, I hope that you will be by my side. You have my permission to read my archives to help yourself get stronger to protect the people you care about.

Our father hid our senseis diary in his office in his desk drawer that has more infprmation on the quincy war 1000 years ago. And if you use the sanrei shuto and you lose your Quincy powers in my archive is a way to restore your Quincy powers with all the materials you need.

He's been carrying this burden since he was born? I can see why he has said 'I hope that you will be by my side.' If he really is in a different world other than the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo, who knows how long it could take for him to get back. If he's in a different dimension, who knows if that place has the same time flow as our world. Riku entrusted me with this information and I will get stronger so I won't let him down.

Silbern, third POV

Thrown room right after Riku disappeared

A man named Yheach is sitting on his thrown when he suddenly sense something in the world of the living. The spiritual pressure of a Quincy suddenly vanished seemingly without a trace.

Yhwach: "how strange."

Haschwalth: "what's wrong your majesty?"

Yhwach waited for a minute saying what he sensed to his right hand man Jugram Haschwalth.

Yhwach: " I felt a Quincy spiritual pressure disappear in an instant. I can't sense his spiritual pressure at all."

Haschwalth: "that does sound odd, normally your majesty can sense a Quincies spiritual pressure easily. What do you think happened your majesty?"

Yhwach:" I am not sure but..." He said before a smile slowly crept up on his lips as he continued "it is interesting. I want you to find out where he disappeared to and and see if we could bring him back."

Haschwalth: "Yes your magesty."

After recieving his orders, Haschwalth went to find someone to search the sight where Riku disappeared to find out what happened. Yhwach can't do anything because yetause he's still recovering his strength after his battle with the soul reapers 1000 years ago. He wants to know how a quincy suddenly disappears, since he didn't want his other subordinates to suddenly vanish decreasing his armys power. But the question on his mind is, what happened to the Quincy that disappeared?

Yhwach: "Things are getting interesting" he said before closing his eyes to sleep.
