I'm a Catgirl!

A man gets reincarnated to a fantasy world for the amusement of a bored deity. When asked what his one wish is, he replies, "I wanna be a cat girl!" Join Seka as she explores a new world while living life as she sees fit. (Yes this is Yuri, it's in the tag. Just to be clear though, the MC is Bi. Not sure if I'll go harem, but don't complain if she has fun with either gender. ) I do not own the cover picture, I just found it on google. If the artist wishes me to remove it, I shall. Spatial Ring

I send my mana into the ring and immediately feel a connection with it. There's hints of a foreign mana inside, but it's easily wiped away. Must be because the former owner is dead.

Once my mana has permeated the ring, the flow abruptly cuts off. I blink in surprise since I didn't want it to do that. I try to reconnect my mana to the ring, but for some reason it won't take.

'Guess it's bound to me now? I think?' I wish I could have asked someone earlier, but it would have seemed odd to have a spatial ring and not know how to access it. Especially with the backstory I told them at the guild. So it's time to experiment!

I pinch my fingers around the ring and try to 'pull' out an item or a screen to view what's inside, but no dice. Next I try essentially the same thing with mana, but I get the same result. I decide to examine my status to see if an option for the storage somehow appeared there, but as I expected there's nothing.

I try to do various hand signs to try and summon something from it, but all I end up with is cramping fingers. I could try verbal commands, but I don't want to risk waking Sina up. I'm just about to give up when I decide to just imagine a screen for it opening.

To my surprise, it does.

I'm now looking at a screen that resembles the old inventories from single player RPGs. The kind that went out of style, but then reboots and 'going back to the roots' brought them back. I'm sure that at the time when I got reincarnated, Terra timewise, that most RPG gamers would recognise it.

It's a box divided into ten by ten sections, with ten of them filled with items. At the bottom is a counter with the images of a copper, silver, and gold coin respectively. I can't help but tilt my head at that.

'If you can connect your guild card directly to the bank, then why would you carry a bunch with you in a spatial ring? Maybe the old man wasn't a part of a guild?'

Shaking my head free of my ponderings, I take a closer look at what the ring holds. Then my eyes actually make note of the amount in the ring and they bulge out. It takes a LOT of effort not to scream when I see the amount in it. Sure, I don't know EXACTLY how much three hundred copper, forty seven silver, and four gold is worth, but still. You can bet that it's certainly more than some low level farmer would be able to get there hands on!

I start to sweat as I think of the implications. 'Shit, was Kyle actually part of some kind of spy ring? Smuggler ring? Slaver ring!? Have I made enemies of a powerful organization on my first day here!? It's just like high school all over again!

I take several deep breaths to calm myself. What's done is done. He's already dead, and I've done what I could to hide that it was a murder. Then a stray thought hits me and I drop my head into my hands.

'... I could have dragged him off the road and buried him with earth magic, couldn't I.' I rapidly shake my head to get rid of the self admonishment. 'No! He would have eventually been missed if he was simply MISSING. But by staging it as an attack by some kind of beast, there won't be any further investigation into it! I hope.

I decide to put that back into the box in my mind labeled 'ignore until it becomes a problem'. Huh, now that I'm in a new world, I suppose the box is empty now. Well, not with the new thing added, but you get the idea.

Ignoring stupid thoughts, I look at the ten items already in the ring. The first three are bags of vegetables, which is odd considering that he was LEAVING the city and not GOING to the city. Tick a mental box in the 'likely to have enemies' column.

The fourth and fifth item look to be pants and a shirt, though I can't get a size for them without pulling them out. Items sixth through eight are a bowl, spoon, an cup. Now that's just odd to carry around. I mean, I could kind of understand if he had cooking supplies in there, which now that I think of it the vegetables could be.

But still, then shouldn't he have cooking supplies? Thinking about it will get me nowhere, so instead I turn my attention to the ninth item.

My face morphs into a complicated expression and I pull out a leather collar. While it's a simple black color, the designs are anything but. Intricate patterns flow across it, each interconnecting with at least two more. They're so intertwined that I can't tell where it ends and where it begins. I use *Examine* on it, and a grimace pushes through the complicated expressions.

*Enchanted Slave Collar

When placed around the neck of an individual, they become enslaved to the person the collar is bound to. When used, the collar turns invisible. Can only be used on individuals under level ten. To bind to the owner, drip a drop of blood onto the collar. Those enslaved cannot be enslaved to others. WARNING: Due to the invisibility enchantment placed upon the collar, slave cannot be transferred to another.*

"Good thing I didn't give him a chance to try anything..." I can't help but mutter, shuddering at the fate that could have been. Maybe if it was some sexy lady with some interesting kinks...

I shake my head HARD. 'Am I sleep deprived? I don't think I am, just tired. But then why am I having weird thought? Weirder than usual I mean.'

My eyes wander as I'm lost in my thoughts and come to rest on the sleeping Sina. I glance between her and the collar a few times. Then I put it back in the ring. 'Nope. Not going the evil route. She's been nothing but nice to me since we met. Sure, it's only been a few hours, but still.'

Lost in my morale musings, I accidently pull out the last item in the ring. It's some kind of glowing orb about the size of one of those tiny oranges that were popular on Terra.

*Ability Orb: Random

This orb grants a random compatible ability when consumed*

Yo! P*treon is up, just type it in, add in the '.com' and cut in a /Nartleb2.

Don't you hate that subtle desire to prorastinate? Not the 'I don't want to do it right now' one. But the 'I'll do it after I finish this' one. And then you end up getting sidetracked and keep putting it off? Yep.
