Decision

Back at the camp.

It was my last night at this place; I still didn't say anything to the pair of siblings, but Chun might've already figured out that I was leaving since I spend all my earnings buying clothes and some trip necessities; however, he didn't know that I was planning to take them with me.

<How do you plan to convince them?>

«Don't worry about me and take a comfortable seat to watch the show.»

<I can't sit->

Jin quickly cut off the system who can't seem to understand sarcasm, "Just shut up,"

Facing the pair, I said in a clear voice, "I'm planning to leave this place,"

Chun didn't react as much, but the sluggish Xia sitting beside me abruptly opened her eyes, shouting, "What!? Where?".

Making a gesture with my hand so she can calm down, I explained, "I can't stay at this place my whole life; there's plenty of territories to get stronger better than here, and my parents won't want me to waste my time; I need to prepare for the upcoming sect selection,"

Saying what I had to say, I felt Nia trembling beside me, "B-but what about us?"

«Us?» I confusedly asked.

Jin didn't know why, but this particular personality seems to be overly attracted to him, which he found extremely strange; after all, it hasn't been even two weeks since they met, but it's also wasn't a bad thing, as his objective will be a lot easier to achieve.

He looked at the stary sky profoundly contemplating something, before saying, "A man has to do what he has to do!"

After the little quote, Even Chun's interest peaked, or perhaps it was his pride?

Continuing his underhand insults, he asserted, "Imagine living a life of barbarity, without even a single gain, if a man didn't have the guts to seek a better life, then he would never be truthfully stronger,"

A blank look hit Nia's face, trying to come up with an answer.

The villain finally had enough of Jin's babbles and decided to join the chat, snorting "You mean I'm not a man?"

«Hehehe! Ultimately even the little tyrant got triggered, well let's finish this off quickly!»

Determinedly I answered, "I never said that, we all should follow the path of power; without change, humans will never be able to achieve something,"

"Change can bring disaster, as it can bring fortune," he retorted.

"Yet there are people who will still take it," I cheekily replayed.

Chun got quiet for some time, thinking about my words, before asking, "So where you will be going?"

"Whatever road that will make me stronger," jin didn't lie; he will hit, abuse, follow, beg, run, kill, anything to get stronger.

"I see,"

And then jin reached his final destination of the talk, "Even though you don't trust me and won't hesitate to betray me, but I'd still would like to take you guys with me,"

Slight knots appeared on Chun's face, "You want us to go with you?"

"Yes," I frankly countered.

Chun wasn't the first one to speak, as Nia shouted, "Brother, let's go with him!"

Hearing her, he entered a profound calculative state judging the drawbacks; however, it didn't take long before he nodded, "Ok, we will follow you."

"Good," I happily said; my objective has been cleared.

Therefore, I went on to explain the time we will depart and some other details, "Tomorrow morning at sunrise; we will leave from here heading east; I already bought some stuff that can aid us troughs our journey, like medicine, clothes, and some dried meat."

Leaving them to figure out what they would bring with them, I laid down to take a rest before the long, dangerous road.

...

Morning came faster than jin thought; he barely slept from the excitement of adventuring the Eastern wildness.

Rosing up from his spot, he glanced around, seeing jin and Xia figures. If you focused well, their eyes were also tired from the restless night, as the pair never left this place for years.

Two words were enough for them to depart; they didn't need to clean or wash their faces; as the dusty road will filthy them in a matter of seconds,

"Let's go!"

There was a famous saying in previous jin world, "If your ropes got cut off, head west," laughing at the satire of his already bleak luck, «I'm heading the opposite way, well, that tells you something.»

Taking the freeway, they proceeded to walk; Jin as the cultivator, even though he's only at the first layer, was carrying Xia on his back, while Chun was holding a heavy bag of clothes and necessities.

Repeatedly walking and stopping to take a rest, the group steadily gone to the deepest parts of the jungle; the atmosphere got gradually colder, and the dusty ground turned more watery as the mud-covered the two boys' boots.

The Eastern wilderness was composed of a mountain called Mount Lo chi; a river surrendered it from the side, and hills took the remaining edges. The foggy climate covered the blue sky, while waves of the stubborn river made cracking sounds at the mighty mountainsides.

If a person took a glance from the opposite viewpoint, he would see the mountain bending the river flow, like a palm holding an extraordinary enormous rock from falling to his direction, signaling the end of a region.

At this time, there were two kids painstakingly huffing for air, as the harsh road-worn them out; several days passed, but it seems like they took an endless path; the bad aptitude and cold weather froze their feet, but fortunately, Jin precautions saved the day, providing warm clothes, and the tasteless dried meat.

"Can you walk more?" Chun spoke to me; he knew that I was delivering the heavier object, but I never voiced a single word of grievance.

"Yes," I replied, shakily walking, looking down at the mud, not daring to glance at the infinite space in fear of losing my resolve.

On my back, Xia took her usual nap.

«System! How could the villain survive this monstrous road?» This idea grew in my mind the most, out of all my questions.

<The villain's stats for determination, similarly to the mc, are maxed out>

"huh? Pft!"

The system explanation bothered me even more «determination? Where's the fun in there.»

As if I will live my life with this determination bullshit; life isn't a child play, although the fated person wins at last, but at what cost?

That was never my style; my life will be a success in the laziest, most vicious way possible;

«Suffering? That's for the shallow main characters to overtake; after this mission, I will thoughtfully plan my next moves.»

An idea channeled his psyche, reshaping his plans for the upcoming events, making him, even more eviler and cunning.
