28 The Yukinoshita family

It was already evening, in a room decorated in ancient Japanese architectural style, Yukinoshita Yukino was sitting alone in the center.

Not far from her, a graceful-looking woman wearing a light gray kimono sat. Her appearance had a bit of Yukino's shade, and her black hair was not loose, but was tied into a ball at the back of her head with accessories.

She is Yukinoshita Yukino's mother. Although he appears very delicate on the outside, he exudes an aura of calm and dignity that only people in high positions can have.

To the left of Yukino's mother is a middle-aged man wearing a suit, he looked like he just got back from work and didn't have time to change into casual clothes. His face was angular and full of masculinity, but he had a gentle smile.

On the right is a woman who has some similarities to Yukino, but has a more mature appearance and behavior. She is Yukino's sister, Yukinoshita Harano. As just an observer, she obeyed the rules, she was also sitting on the mat, but her eyes were narrowed and she was staring at Yukino, as if she was observing something fun and interesting.

The three people were surrounded and the atmosphere was silent and tense.

If people they don't know saw this scene, they might think that some judge is trying a prisoner.

"Mom, I want to live alone." After a long time, remembering Amane's appearance, Yukino took a deep breath and finally worked up the courage to ask her.

Yukino's mother sat in front of the small wooden table and didn't say anything, nor did she lift her eyelids. She was still minding her own business making tea. Time passed and when she filled the first cup of tea, she slowly raised her head.

Although the beautiful middle-aged woman did not apply makeup, her appearance was still dignified and beautiful, and her eyes were extremely piercing. Just one look made Yukino feel as if countless knives had been cut through her.

"What did you just say?" Yukino's mother asked calmly.

This sentence is actually a reminder in disguise: Yukino is so close to her mother, how could the other party not hear?

Normally, Yukino might have given up due to family pressure.

But she is no longer alone now, she has Amane supporting her from behind. Taking another step back, there was even "Wu Shen" in Amane's mouth.

"I want to live alone, mom." Yukino said word for word, her voice neither high nor low, but powerful.

"Why?" Yukino still received a concise and clear question.

Faced with this question, Yukino hesitated for a moment, because she couldn't directly say that it was for the convenience of taking care of Amane, so she could only make up some unreliable reasons casually.

"What does it matter? If my sister wants to be independent, let her try." Yukino's sister Harano suddenly spoke at this moment. Her mode of persuasion seems, to outsiders, like the perfect sisterly style.

But of course Yukino knew what a wicked and cruel character was hidden beneath that fake smile.

There is nothing wrong with what Harano said. She is the future heir to the Yukinoshita family company business. She was always very good. Whether it is interpersonal communication, managing company operations or university performance, she is perfect and is favored by her mother.

Although Yukino is also extremely notable among her peers, she will be eclipsed in an instant under the light of her sister Harano.

Now Harano is qualified to attend family gatherings and voice her own opinions.

"Since Harano said that, let's try. I'll find you a nice apartment. You don't have to worry about that." Her mother nodded slightly, but then changed the subject: "But if your grades drop because of this, you will come back to live here, understand?"

"Yes I understand." Although her mother agreed to her request for the sake of her sister Harano, Yukino did not express any dissatisfaction and nodded.

Her mother had always been a dark cloud in Yukino's heart that could not be dispelled for a long time, so she swore silently in her heart that she would never be like this in the future. Maybe that's why she's so kind to Amane.

After the family meeting ended, Harano happened to pass by the courtyard hallway when she returned to her room.

"I will remember this favor." Yukino took the opportunity and said.

Upon hearing this, Harano turned around and looked at Yukino with a smile: "No favors needed, I just do it because it's fun." Yukino was about to say something, but she only heard Harano suddenly.

"I really want to see how long you can escape?"

"Someone told me that escaping is shameful, but very useful." Yukino thought of something and said her own words to refute it.

"Oh? Who taught you such a thing? I really didn't expect you to say that, Yukino."

"Do I have any obligation to tell you?" Yukino returned the same bright but hypocritical smile.

"It's so boring… You've changed a little." Harano muttered in a low voice and left the hall without looking back.

The words that Yukino used to respond were words that Wu Shen mentioned when Amane told her her father's one hundred and eight great deeds, and she borrowed those words at that time.

In fact, she herself did not agree with the idea of "running away", but without knowing why she used that phrase to attack her sister.

"Auntie is here again!" At this moment, Amane walked out of an empty room next to the corridor and stuck her tongue out at Harano, who was walking away, looking very disdainful.

"Aunt?" Yukino's eyes were a little strange. After these days of Amane's influence and her own online research, she probably knew what the phrase "Auntie is here" means in China.

"Mom, you are mistaken. In normal terms, she is indeed my aunt." Amane quickly explained with a red face.

[I do not understand...]

Amane is a very serious little girl, but she is not dirty at all, this can be clearly seen by looking at her shy little face which turned red at that moment.

"I understand." Yukino took her back to her room and nodded quickly. Because of this misunderstanding, Yukino's cheeks also turned slightly red.

After what happened, the remaining tension from Yukino's previous family reunion disappeared. Sometimes Yukino felt like being with Amane felt more like home than a cold mother or an unapproachable sister.

"Speaking of which, will the relationship between Harano and I in the future get worse or better?" Yukino thought about it and asked Amane involuntarily.

Being able to determine the future direction and development can, in some ways, make the confused Yukino feel more at ease.

"Humph! Mom, you asked the right person!" Amane immediately became energetic when she mentioned the future.
