Constantly on the defense, Tom knows that it's very unlikely he's going to win.

The man before him was probably one of the top knights loyal to King Arthur. He's a better swordsman than Tom.

Tom could easily admit to that.

The problem that piles onto that is the fact that Sir. Kay also has an entire suit of armor, protecting the large majority of his body.

The only openings Tom has to work with are the small and very few gaps in his armor, which are even harder to get to when the man protecting them is a seasoned veteran in all things sword fighting.

Seeing no way to beat the man before him in normal swordsmanship, Tom decided to take a risk and hope for the best.

Waiting for the perfect moment, Tom put all of his strength into a single parry, knocking Sir. Kay's sword back and breaking the never-ending cycle of strikes for a brief moment.

Knowing that this peaceful moment won't last, Tom throws his sword like a spear in his opponent's direction and immediately dashed towards the wooden sword rack at the edge of the training yard.

Separating yourself from your sword during a duel like this is something only a true idiot would do, but Tom could see his loss on the horizon and needed to take some risks in order to possibly secure his victory.

As Sir. Kay watch Tom throw his sword in his direction, he felt as though he was hallucinating. For just a second he saw a young and inexperienced Arthur Pendragon in Toms place, hurtling his sword at him in hopes of a victory, and a reminiscent smile crossed his lips for the second time that day.

'They're very similar.' Sir. Kay internally laughed as he sidestepped the sword spear that launches past him.

If only he knew of Tom's enslavement of his former king. Then he may not be thinking the same after knowing that. That's for sure.

After spending a moment reminiscing, Sir. Kay watches Tom reach the weapons rack and start hoarding small blades. Everything he would pick up would be slipped into his belt.

Soon, Tom had ten daggers along with a sword similar to his last one in his belt and one dagger in each hand.

His plan is fairly simple.

He knows that he won't win when it comes to a normal sword fight. After testing the waters, Tom knows that Sir. Kay is far out of his league, so he will keep his distance and throw daggers, hoping to land a hit along the way.

Tom knows that with that heavy armor weighing Sir. Kay down comes a distinct loss of mobility.

Toms plan is to use his unhindered mobility to keep his distance while simultaneously attacking from range, hence the daggers for throwing.

If this were to fail, which is very possible thanks to the armor protecting a large portion of his body, Tom grabbed another sword so he can go back to the normal one on one sword fight.

Sir. Kay seemed to have put two and two together, as he broke off into a sprint straight in Tom's direction.

Although he is sprinting, it's not very fast with all that armor.

Seeing this, Tom dashed diagonally to the left, dodging any possible attack and creating a good amount of distance between him and the shiny tin-can that is Sir. Kay.

When he gets to a good distance away, Tom stops and uses everything he has to throw one of his daggers, aiming it to land in the gap between Sir. Kay's helmet and chest plate, which would hopefully pierce his neck.

Sadly, Sir. Kay saw the attack coming and easily deflected the dagger with his sword, but that wasn't the only dagger hurtling his way.

No, Tom didn't stop after his first throw and continued to throw dagger after dagger at whatever weak spot in his opponent's armor he felt would have the most success.

The second dagger went for his open armpit, as Sir. Kay had to lift his arm in order to block the first dagger with his sword, which exposed that gap in his armor.

Unfortunately, that one didn't hit its mark either. Sir. Kay managed a slight twist of his armored body, barely making it out of the way of the flying dagger.

Then another dagger comes flying at the gap in his armor near his knee, which is deflected as well.

Then another and another and another.

Soon, Sir. Kay is the one going on the defensive, constantly dodging and deflecting oncoming projectiles one by one.

With every dagger thrown at him, Sir. Kay found it harder and harder to deal with the next.

One thought kept him optimistic though.

Tom only picked up 12 daggers. Ten on his belt and one for each hand. He only has to dodge 12 projectiles. Then Tom would have to use that sword he picked up.

On Toms last dagger, which he threw with all his might, skill, and hope, Sir. Kay was just a bit too slow.

The best opening Tom saw on his last throw was the gap leading to Sir. Kay's knee, which would be an extremely detrimental injury to anyone. Especially a knight.

Tom's hopes were answered as the dagger landed perfectly in the armors gap, piercing his knee with a sickening stab.

"AAARGH!" Sir. Kay yells in pain as he falls to his uninjured knee and drops his sword on the ground, grasping the embedded daggers handle with both hands.

Seeing this as an opening, Tom swiftly dashed forward and pulled the sword from his belt.

While Sir. Kay was in agony and contemplating whether to pull the dagger out or not, Tom appeared before him and slashed his sword down at his outstretched neck, severing Sir. Kay's head from his shoulders.
