1 The Beginning After The End

"Ugh." James groans in pain, grabbing his head with an uneasy look. After recovering a little, the newly awakened James looks around at his surroundings.

He seemed to be in a quite large room with a lavish design to it. James was currently sitting on a delicate looking wooden chair with a desk in front having a clean matte finish with a dark brown coloured wood.

Seeing the "familiar" desk but still in a dazed state, the still hazy James looked around the room.

There was a super king sized bed with an extravagant look and other stuff like stuffed animals.

Not wanting to get up, turns his sights back at the desk and looking down at the letter in front.

Soon after seeing the letters contents though, James' face did a 180 and was cringing.

•—Letter—•

{Dear Jessebelle}

Deep down in my little heart, is a man. A man without many talent but can provide you with anything you need. I will fight for your lov-

[Love from James ]

•—End—•

"Love from James to Jessebelle? What the fu-"

*Ccreaakk*

James turning around keeping his disbelief and pissed look with some veins showing on his head somehow. Spots a weird but strangely familiar animal.

"Growlie?" James says instinctively seeing the puppy like creature enter the room.

"Grawr! Little Growlie bursts in speed towards James as the door opens a decent amount of space.

James still holding the letter with a pissed look, gets an idea. Chucking the letter on the floor, James gets a wide grin.

"Growlie, use ember"

"Gra?"

"Oh yeah "I" scolded you for burning my toys before, it's fine."

"Raa?" Growlie replies still unsure of what to make of this, development?

"JUST DO IT!" James said "calmly". Growlithe nodding its head a few times getting into the groove? Looks like it's jamming to a beat as it uses [Ember]

*Crackle*

Three visible little fire embers exit out of Growlithe's mouth and each hit the carpet directly making a triangle shape around the letter. Somehow missing the point blank target

[•—•{James Morgan}•—•]

"Mate?!" I shout in confusion as the small embers give the paper a bit of warmth to go through this winter. Looking over at the sparks as they aline to a perfect triangle I sigh. "I gotta take this into my own hands then to end this devils writting. Don't worry James, the better James will help you out mate."

Walking over to the now exuberant Growlithe, I literally take this into my own hands and pick him up using all the strength my seven year old body could muster. Now with my weapon in hand, I held him like a gun pointing at its target.

"AK-47 use [Ember]!" Growlithe doing a little confused head tilt at the first part. Starts to get a little hyper as his trigger word was just said.

With this the newly named AK-47 unloaded and used [Ember] four times.

'This is the Litha-47 now baby.'

*Crackle* *Fizzle*

Hearing the embers burn the paper away I sigh in reliefs, but soon after this I heard the fire alarm starting to go crazy.

*BEEP!* *BEEP*

Doing a 90 degree right turn, I realised that I was still holding Growlithe like a weapon and at this point had a disheveled look as the water started to sprinkle in the room.

"Oh shi-"

"YOUNG MASTER!" A butler could be heard screaming in worry as he entered the room. Looking into it, he spots a young homeless looking kid holding a Growlithe like a gun?

"Oh for fuck sake." I mutter looking into my butlers eyes. Now drenched while still in my aiming posture, I give up on trying to salvage my situation and just stare at the guy like a lost child.

"Help." I say in a low tone.

"Lith!" Growlie adds with an excited bark as he could be seen moving in my grasp.

"Oh my-" The butler I "remember" as Hopkins say as he runs into the room and quickly grabs both me and my Pokemon.

"Don't worry, let's keep this a secret between us." Hopkins says while giving me a wink as we exited my room. Hearing this a genuine smile gets on my face as I found the situation quite ridiculous.

"Make sure no one knows." I reply in a childish tone before I finally burst out laughing with Hopkins joining in soon after

'I really just used a Growlithe as a flamethrower... It was more like a mini kids fireworks display but thats besides the point. I'm in the Pokemon world!'

[}•———•{]

"Are you okay?" I hear my dad, Sean Morgan say offhandedly. My new mum Akane Morgan not waiting for me to respond starts to bombard me with questions.

"Are you okay?"

"You're not hurt are you?"

"Didnt I tell you to get rid of that mutt already!"

Freezing up at that last sentence, before I knew it my fists were clenched.

'Calm down James, you're not kid… mentally anyways.' I hummed to myself. Quietly making my way to the table and sitting in the opposite seat of my mother and next to my dad who was in the middle of the long and overly decorated table.

"Hey James are you listening!" My mother keeps on bombarding me with questions as I was finally able to regain myself.

It's more difficult to keep myself composed as I've unfortunately gained some of the characteristics of the old James and his habits.

'Brash when pressured, timid most of the time and always impulsive.'

"Yes mother I'm fine. Ignoring the situation today though, Father I have something I want to discuss with you." I tell him as the food started to arrive.

With a few chefs with plates of food arrived, I could smell the brilliant aromatics and gulped my saliva.

"Yes James?" He asked not focusing on me much.

"I want to become a Pokemon traininer." I answer. My fathers eyes widened a bit but shortly went back into his neutral look.

"Well that isn't too bad of an idea, you could try to become an Earl in the Battle Chateau and gain more fame in the élite society." He responds in a monotone voice.

"My little James will become a Earl? How exciting!" My mother chimes in with her annoying voice. Well I can't judge her too fast though, she might be insulting my mate. But in the end it seems like she wants the best for me, I hope…

"No, I mean to become a trainer and challenge the gyms and participate in the Pokemon league." I quickly correct. With this my dad looked over at me with a dark look.

"You think I'd let my son go out in a little adventure to where the morality is over 70% to new trainers. Granted these are statistics from the past before the routes were properly cleared out and established, but this doesn't help in any way as this was only a couple of decades ago." My father said in a cold tone but with a small glint in his eyes. Not wanting to back down I talk back.

"If it's so dangerous then let's meet a middle ground. I know you want me to marry a girl and take over the family business. If I get all eight badges of this region I'll get to have my inheritance without marriage." I tell him with a determined looks. With my dad still keeping a cold look, the glint in his eyes started to become more obvious as my mum intervened with the conversation.

"Didn't you want to talk about a young girl you wanted to marry badly my little James." Mother mentions excited making me shiver in my place.

"It was a lie mum, I don't like any girls right now." I instantly reply without a second though. Realising that the reason the original James got into the Jessebelle problem in the first place I cringe.

After the original James found out Jessebelle's dominatrix personality it was too late. She befriended his parents and secured the favourite daughter in law seat without every marrying yet.

He was really a romantic.

Running around the house as his fiancée had a whip, what good times I'm not gonna be replicating for obvious reasons…

With this said my dad finally stopped thinking and looked back at me with a more softer but firm look.

"But what about your safety, my only heir going into the wild world without any protection. You already know your mum and I can't have anymore children. If your gonna go then bring Sir Cheeves with you."

"I'll give you the only option you have. You go out there collections gym badges, but if you fail to get eight badges by the time the Indigo League starts. Then you'll marry a girl I've chosen and give up on being a trainer." He tells me with a firm tone looking like he won't take no for an answer.

'Looking at the situation father and mother win either way.' I chuckle to myself. Seeing the opportunity in front of me, I grab it without a second thought.

"I accept." I say without much thinking. It's not like I got much of a choice anyways, I'm a kid who is being raised to be prideful snotty noble.

"First I'll get you a Pokemon myself. The choice is yours on what it could be. Thought it is illegal for a child to train a Pokemon and own one before becoming an adult or trainer, money is a valuable resource." He says with a smug grin.

Seeing this I start to wonder if my dad has a mood swing problem or something.

'My mum seems pretty active, my man's probably low battery mode because of how he was handled at night.' I snicker as my mind wandered to very lewd places.

"Hopkins can you get me a new diary and pen in the room I'll be residing in?" I ask. Hopkins being just a few steps away, accepts my words and makes his way out of the dining room.

After I finished dinner, I made my way to one of the guest rooms as mine was kind of burnt?

It was only the carpet but I guess they're replacing it as the old James really liked that rug. Making my way through a room which had an interior I didn't care too much about.

I went to the desk to where the items I asked for were here.

"Well It's time to rack my brain for some information." I say out loud in a lazy tone. Opening the dairy to the last page, I note some things I've noticed.

[<•—Diary—•>]

• Habits, memories, characteristics and body +

• Age 7

• Strongest trainer in the world is Adam Williams(Water Type Gym Leader)

• Talent System and Levels ar a ting

[<•—END—•>]

Making random notes and twisting them so they don't make too much sense for they're reasoning being there.

I note that there is a talent system and a general way to see a Pokemons strength.

A Pokemons talent goes from:

Bronze = ⭐️

Silver = ⭐️⭐️

Gold = ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Platinum = ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Diamond = ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It seems that a Gold talent Pokemon is good enough to become an elite four level Pokemon if trained to its peak.

But this usually takes ages and constant training without much rest which can burn people and Pokemon out fast.

Also the levelling system and talent system can be seen through a Pokedex with some high costs. The highest level recorded being a level 91 Diamond Charizard from a trainer called Alan Ketchum.

'Ketchum huh.' I think while squinting my eyes.

Looking outside I see that the sun has already gone down. It seems like I've been doing this for a while, sleep is probably an important thing for a seven year old.

'Fuck it sleep is overrated anyways, or so I though.'

With Growlithe sleeping in the soft and comfortable floor, I walk over to him and move him onto my bed.

"He's the perfect Pokemon to snuggle with." I say with joy as I felt Growlithes soft and well kept fur, with that my eyes started to drift off in oblivion. "Guess sleep isn't overrated."
