Chapter 7: Smile

Jade's POV: I was laying next to Daniel, breathless and happy. He'd already fallen asleep. I figured I should get some sleep too, but I couldn't just fall asleep after all of that. I have a secret. I got the whole life story, which I'm happy about. But I probably should've told Daniel the truth before we had sex...I'm was a virgin before tonight...

I woke up but it felt like I never slept, it was morning now and I realized something. I forgot to call my mother and tell her I stayed at a friends house. I called her right away before Daniel woke up, she answered and said that she'd been worried sick, I apologized to her and said that I made a new friend at school and they asked if I wanted to stay over for the weekend. I feel bad, I hate lying to my dad, let alone my mom. She believed me though and asked their name, I said Tessa because it's the first name that popped into my head, then she asked if I needed anything like clothes or something, I blindly lied and said no. Before she got another word out I told her I loved her and I'd check in and then I hung up the phone. I put on my bra and underwear and when I looked back to see if Daniel was still sleeping, but the bed was empty. I felt the same pair of strong arms come up behind me and wrap around my waist obviously it was Daniel but I still turned my head over my shoulder to see his face. While my head was turned I felt small, gentle kisses trailing up and down my neck. I smiled, fully turned around, and said, "You can do that all you want, as long as you don't bite me!" He replied with a smirk, "I think you'd love it if I bit you, oh the pleasure!" I giggled at his comment. My face turned very serious with guilt after a moment of silence. He said, "What is it Jade? Did I hurt you?" He tried examining my body but I quickly stopped him and said, "I need to tell you something and you have to promise me you won't get mad!" "After last night I don't think I can possibly get mad at you." He answered. "This is serious Daniel, I'm not joking right now. I just need your word that you won't get upset or angry with me. Can you do that?" I said concerned. He responded, "Jade, I don't care, whatever you're about to say, it doesn't matter because I refuse to get mad at you. So yes, I give you my word! Now what is it?" I bit my lip nervously and blurted out, "Daniel, before last night happened, I was a virgin!" His mouth opened wide. I couldn't tell what he was thinking, "You were a virgin? I took your virginity from you?" He said surprised. I answered, "Yeah. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I was just so caught up i-" Daniel cut me off and said, "I'm not upset at all with you Jade... I'm amazed! Last night was...the best night of my life. I never expected you of all people to be a virgin. The way you moved, how in sync you were with me, how smoothly everything went. You blew me away Jade. I have never felt anything like that before. You knew what you were doing better than I did! I have no words to describe last night besides perfect!" I smiled gratefully and said, "You're really not mad?" "No I'm not mad at you Jade. I'll never be mad at you." I couldn't believe what all just happened, first I kissed Daniel, I got him and his families life story, got told I was in danger, had sex and lost my virginity to Daniel, told him I was a virgin before last night, he was okay with it, AND he said it was the best night of his life! Nathan's POV: I left early this morning and went to that town with Elizabeth, I've been searching every nook and cranny trying to find those two! Elizabeth even did a second spell to track them down, it shows her images of where they're at. She said she saw a gas station in the middle of nowhere off Interstate 66, in Virginia! I told Elizabeth that we should've left sooner to find them faster. We got back on the road after we got a bite to eat. Virginia, here we come...

Daniel's POV: Jade just asked me what we were going to do now. I honestly had no idea, I could keep me and Jade here, but I heard her mother on the phone earlier, she wouldn't just let her her daughter stay in New York City for 3 months with a stranger. That would be the only flaw. That was until I got a genius idea, nobody besides me, Jade, and her family know where this location is. It'll be perfect! I could take Jade down to good old California to stay with her dad! I could also keep her safe with backup, I visited California a few times over the years, the first time I made many friends of people, who later I turned into vampires. They owe me everything they got, they'll keep Jade safe along with myself! It's perfect. Her mother might be hurt, but it's better than her being dead! I noticed Jade still in her bra and panties, she was standing in a mirror. She was looking at her leg, there was a bruise on it. I immediately ran over to her and said, "Jade...I am so so sorry, I'll never do that again. I won't hurt you ever again!" She replied, "Daniel! It's just a bruise, and since you haven't known me for very long you should know, I'm probably the most easily bruised person in the world, I'm honestly surprised there isn't more, I figured just you touching me would leave a bruise. But it didn't. That's a good thing and you don't have to be sorry about it!" "But I hurt you, we had sex and I couldn't control myself, we're lucky I didn't bite you! How is that okay?" I responded more tone in my voice. "I refuse to let you take this hard on yourself. I feel fine, it's only one bruise and it'll be gone by tomorrow. There's nothing for you to feel bad about, I'm the one who said I wanted this, so if anyone gets to feel bad it's me. But I don't, do that means you don't either. Do you understand me?" Jade answered with a grin. I smiled and said, "Okay, I understand you." She turned back to face the mirror and tried putting on her clothes. I walked behind her before she even got one leg through her pants and said, "Oh...but we have an entire weekend free to do whatever we want! I heard you on the phone." Jade smiled widely and I started kissing her neck again. She watched in the mirror and smiled. This time I did I realized, I'm hungry! I could feel the rush through my bones. My eyes turned to a blood shot red with my black and blue veins underneath, I tried fighting it but I couldn't, my fangs flew out of my gums. I immediately turned away, I wouldn't risk hurting Jade, and I didn't really want her to see me like this. She turned my head towards her and said, "Hey! Look at me! It's okay. I know what you're feeling, let me make it better!" She kissed me, I kissed back trying to take my mind off the hunger, but it was to strong. I watched Jade turn back around and grab something out of her pants, it was a knife! She grabbed it and cut open her wrist. "Are you insane or do you have a death wish!" I shouted. Jade's gentle, calm voice was mesmerizing as she said, "Drink! You'll feel better, you won't kill me I know you won't! Just...drink." I tried fighting it but the urge was to strong for me to handle, I pulled her wrist to my mouth and hesitated before biting into it, I only took a little before I stopped. I couldn't hurt her! I wouldn't hurt her. She said, "Did you get enough?" I replied, "No. but I'll be fine." "If you need more then take more, I'm fine, you need it!" I didn't hesitate this time, the glow in my eyes was burning, this time I bit into her neck...
