Chapter 39: Condition 2

She had heard that name before but where?.

"Wait..the silver hair lady called me that." Sh said to herself.

"Is everything okay with you?." He was already by her side.

"How did you get here? I didn't see you walk through the door." She turned.

"Yes cause you were lost in thought, that's why I asked if you were okay."

"Oh, I'm okay, can I ask you something?."

"No, it's late you should go to sleep." He adjusted his pillows.

"It's important Arnold,I just want to ask why you called..-"

"Jenna,go to bed okay?." He cut her off .

**********

She woke up to find Arnold not in the room, she knew he was getting ready for work so she climbed out of the bed to go have her bath.

Arnold came into the room searching for her, then he heard the sound of the running water in the bathroom so he knew she was in there.

He smirked evilly as he went to the bathroom door and rested against the wall. Jenna got out and almost ran into his chest.

"Arnold!." Her heart was pounding as she looked at his face. Her hair was damp ,her lashes were wet and she tied a white towel around her chest.

"You scared me." She frowned.

"Didn't mean to." He grinned.

"Okay..." she took a step away and he held her waist and drew her to his chest.

"What are you doing, we'll be late for work let go!." She tried pushing his arms away but it was too strong, she applied force and took a step away from him then her towel fell to the ground.

Arnold's eyes raked her body from head to toe, he still had that sexy grin on.

"Turn around!" She said shake as she bent down to pick up the towel.

"Oh, okay." He turned around and shook his head. "This girl was so funny" he said to himself.

Jenna wrapped the towel around her body and hurriedly left to the changing room.

They left home and was now in the car, There was an hour of silence and Jenna thought it was right to ask him about what she wanted to ask him last night.

"About last night..." she halted as she saw his serious face fixed on the road with his hands on the steering.

"What about it?." He asked.

"Why did you call me Sugar Bear?" She asked.

"Why you don't like the name?."

"It's not that, it's just that..."

"I wouldn't call you that if you don't like it Jenna." He glanced at her then turned back to the steering.

"The silver hair lady called me that." Her face was serious and Arnold immediately stopped the car, looking confusingly at road.

Jenna studied him and wondered what happened and why he stopped the car.

"A..are you okay?." She tilted her head.

"I..I don't know, I mean anyone can create a name out of nowhere right?." He said.

"Yes but.."

"Don't think too much about it and yes, it was all your imagination and nothing else."

"But Arnold I know it was Real, it wasn't my imagination. I know I saw her."

They got to the school and she got out of the car then she spotted Ace standing by his car glaring at Arnold.

Arnold turned to look at what Jenna was looking at, then he saw him.

"I..I should go in now, bye." She smiled and walked into the building.

The men gave each other death glares then Arnold drove out leaving Ace so annoyed.

He was so pissed and Jenna didn't even say hi. He knew she was still angry over what happened yesterday.

School was over and she went waiting for a cab. She was relieved when she didn't see Ace there. She didn't want to see him, she was so angry at him for what he said. He shouldn't have reminded her what she had already forgotten long ago.

She got home and when she was about to enter the gate she saw Ace by his car looking at Arnold's Mansion.

She looked around to check if Arnold or his guards were closed but when she saw he wasn't, she walked to Ace.

"What are you doing here?." She looked around to be sure no one from the Mansion was close.

"You've been avoiding me Jenna."

"I don't want to talk to you and I don't want you here or anywhere close to me, so just leave before Arnold sees you here." She turned around to leave when he grabbed her arm and turned her to face him then he pressed his lips on hers.

"I love you Jenna why can't you understand?." He looked like he was about to cry then she slapped him across his face with tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry Jenna, I shouldn't have forced myself on you." He said

She took a step back, looking at him with tears in her eyes. She shook her head and looked at him with disappointment then she went into the Mansion.

She sat in her room crying, she hated that she was reminded of her condition. A condition she had longed forgotten, only Grandma, Grandpa and Ace knew about it. For years now no one had talked about it but now Ace reminded her. He knew how much she cried when the doctor told her about her condition, why would he mention it to her despite knowing how much she had to live with it.

She couldn't eat, talk or do anything fun when the doctor broke the news to her. She knew about it when she was exactly fourteen years old and now she had to live with the pains of facing the illness in the future.

She hated Ace for this, She cried and closed her eyes tightly imagining the pain she'd go through when the day comes.

That's the day she lived to remember, she kept her years counting.
