7 Chapter 7
Hudson and his underling were standing in front of a very tall building.
Hudson looked at the building and he said. "This is where the hunter exam is taking place?"
The man in a suit next to him said. "No boss, it's the to our right."
Hudson looked on his right and saw a cheap looking restaurant.
He looked at his underling and said with his usual stoic face and said. "Are you making fun of me?"
His subordinate started sweating and he said while shaking his head from side to side. "No, no, no, no.
No one would expect the hunter exam that has millions of applicants to take place there right?
I had to take the exam from the start and my guide told me how to do it."
Hudson looked back at the restaurant and started walking towards it. "Let's go then."
As they entered the store the cook at the counter said. "Welcome!
What'll it be?"
"The steak combo."
The man's eyes widened but then his expression went back to normal. "Grilled or boiled ?"
"Grilled, over low flame."
"Got it, let yourself into the back room."
Hudson arrived in the back room and he said looking around. "There's something weird about this room."
"Right, this room is actually an elevator.
Now I will let you take the hunter exam, wish you well boss!"
His underling got out of the room and closed the door, as soon as he closed it the room started going downwards.
As the doors opened he was welcomed by the sight of a large underground room that looked like a subway tunnel, there were a lot of people in this room.
All of them had intense expressions and they all looked at Hudson.
Hudson got out of the elevator and looked back at everyone else and thought. 'Most of these guys should be masters in their areas of expertise judging from their expressions.
But they're no threat to me.'
The people looked away after checking them out and he was approached by a small man who looked like he had a pea head.
"Here's your badge number, sir."
He looked at the number and saw that he was the 406th.
He put it on his jacket and started to look around.
As he was looking around he noticed someone was coming straight towards him, an ugly midget with the number 16.
He had two cans of juice in his hand and he said when he was in front of Hudson. "Want a drink?"
Hudson looked at the drink and said nothing.
*BAM*
Hudson punched the midget in the face with his left hand, the guy was sent flying about 5 meters and then he landed in a crowd of people.

Everyone around was surprised by this sudden show of strength.
People who looked at the rookie crusher's face saw his face caved in with permanent damage to the skull, he was as good as dead.
Hudson took his right hand out of his pocket and wiped the blood of his left hand with a cloth.
"Who do you think you are acting all friendly with me, you trash?"
That wasn't even his full strength, he went easy on him since he didn't want to be somehow eliminated if he killed another person.
He sensed someone looking at him with some kind of...hostility?
He looked towards the person looking at him and saw a clown with a smile on his face looking at him.
Hudson's eyes narrowed and he said. 'That guy's different. What he sent towards me right now was aura infused with his emotions, was that meant to scare me?
He's probably checking me out.'
He started walking towards the clown with his hands in his pockets.
"Oi, you sent a little bit of your aura towards me earlier. You're a nen user aren't you?"
The clown smiled and said. "I am, but it looks like you too are a nen user.
Looks like this exam won't be a boring one."
*SWOOSH* *BAM*
Hudson sent a punch towards the clown's head with his right hand, but the clown dodged it at the last moment and sent some cards towards him.
Hudson put his left hand up and the cards didn't even scratch his skin since he was using nen to protect it.
The wall that Hudson punched had a very big hole, it cracked in such way that there were cracks even on the roof. It really looked like this part of the tunnel was about to collapse at any moment.
He was keeping Ten the whole time so that punch was stronger than his normal one which is already devastating.

Everyone was shocked by this display of strength, they have seen their fare share of people having ridiculous strength but this was on another level.
Hudson looked at the clown and said. "You dodged it, my right hand, looks like you're better than the trashes I had to fight until now."
Hudson uses his left hand when he's not serious and his right hand when he's serious.
Their strength is the same but it's just the amount of force used. He can fight even with his legs but no one was strong enough for him to fight going all out yet.
The clown had a creepy smile on his face and he said. "And you're plenty strong yourself, are you an enhancer by any chance?"
"Wrong."
The clown's smile became even bigger and he said. "Then that means you're more interesting than I thought."
*BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR*
A loud sound was heard throughout the whole area.
A man in a suit that looked like he didn't have a mouth and a big mustache said.
"As of now, registration is closed.
The hunter exam will now begin.
Everyone ready?
Good.
Then, this way please."
The man started walking away while saying some of the rules, the one that Hudson found interesting was that you could sabotage others.
After some time the man picked up the pace and started fully running.
Hudson looked back at the clown and said. "Wanna continue?"
"No, we can always fight later.
Let's fight later when it's appropriate."
"That's true, the hunter's more important to me right now."
