The 'Earthquake.'

*click, click, click*

The girl in the hole opened her eyes for the 4th time; even though her brain tried to forget everything, some things were still remembered. This caused her originally energetic self to look dull. 

She knew what was coming next; it would be the chicken cutting off her head, her arms, and finally, her legs. However, even knowing that, all the emotions she showed were just three tears, one from her right eye and two from her left.

*Click, Click, Click*

As the footsteps approached, she closed her eyes, waiting for what was to come.

However-

*Rumble*

The entire cave was shaking; it seemed like an earthquake was happening. However, the 'earthquakes' occurred at set intervals as if it were a giant walking.

*Click Click CLICK CLICK*

The chicken's footsteps were hurried, as if it was afraid. Oddly enough, the chicken ran towards the girl instead of running away.

*BANG!*

The girl's eyes shot open; she felt like a meteor hit the ground above her.

*Bang!*

Once again, the hole- no, the entire area she was in was shaking.

*bang!*

It continued to happen. However, each 'earthquake' was getting weaker and weaker.

The girl thought it was her chance to escape, so she attempted to get out of the hole.

However, the lid on the hole was not so easy to remove; even when she pushed with all her strength, it only left a small opening that she could barely fit her pinky through. However, this opening did allow her to see the light; it seemed that she was no longer in a cave but was above ground.

It took over an hour for the girl to finally move the lid off the hole, and when she climbed out and looked around, she saw the original cave was no longer there. Instead, the land was just a flat, rocky terrain.
