Ch11 Tower X And X Ponzu

In the dining room, One particular boy is eating like he hasn't eaten for weeks. He was Akira, After waking from the training room. He quickly tried to find the dining room to eat before they arrived at the site of the third exam.

" One more!." Akira shouted as he raised his other hand before going back to eating. He already ate more than 8 plates of food.

All the food came from high-quality ingredients. It wasn't an exaggeration to say that the food was like a portion of food from a 5-star hotel, if not much better.

But in that moment he heard the voice of Beans in the speaker. " Thank you for waiting. We're about to reach our destination."

" What! Let me finish it first!." Akira then stuffed all the remaining food in his mouth, before drinking water.

He glances at the staff in the dining hall before bowing slightly. " Thanks for the food! It was delicious!."

He then left the room and wanted to wander around the ship while finding his friends. " Let's just wait for them at the entrance."

Akira then glanced at the window where beautiful scenery was in view. It gave him a small sense of serenity. Akira enjoyed the view while waiting for the airship to land on top of the tower.

" Akira!." Gon called out as he saw Akira coming out from the airship.

Akira looked in the direction of the voice and he saw Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio. He walked to them while waving his hand.

In the middle of the applicants, Beans is standing while looking at the remaining applicants which is 50 almost 1/8 of the total 405 applicants.

" Everyone, This is Trick Tower is going to be the test site for Phase Three! The Task is very simple; reach the bottom of this tower alive. The time limit was 72 hours. With that, we will begin the third phase. I will pray for your success!." Beans said as he walked back into the airship.

" Three days, That means this phase is going to become much difficult than the other phase. We must not let our guard down." Kurapika said as he looked at his friends.

" What are we going to do?." Gon asked as he looked at Kurapika.

" There are no windows on the sides. Climbing down here would be suicide." Kurapika said as he looked down.

" Yes, If you're an ordinary man." A muscular man who appeared out of nowhere said. He then continued. " But if you're a skilled rock climber, it's not difficult to climb down with this much foothold."

" Oldguy, If I were you I wouldn't do that," Akira said as he looked at the guy with pity.

The muscular guy didn't listen and continued to climb down the tower.

" Wow, He's gone down that far already," Gon said.

" Just watching him makes my butt feel weird," Leorio said as he look at the guy who was already in half of the tower.

Not far away from the trick tower, A group of Winged Beasts flew to the tower targeting the muscular guy before. The Winged Beast then carried the man without struggle and flew back to their nest.

" I already warned him but he didn't listen," Akira said with a sigh.

" I guess we shouldn't climb down the outer wall," Leorio said as he looked at the group of Winged Beasts flying away.

" There should be a door that leads down to the lower level." Kurapika said as he looked at the other applicants. " I guess everyone has the same idea."

" We'd better spread out to find the door." Akira said without much care since from what he remembered Gon found five hidden doors in the canon.

Akira looked around the applicant and saw that there were fewer people than before. He then saw Tonpa staring at him.

Akira squinted his eyes looking at Tonpa. Tonpa saw his look and looked away. " Weird guy."

Akira ignored the strange look Tonpa's giving before and continued walking around looking at the applicants he didn't remember.

" Akira! Leorio! Kurapika!." Gon shouted.

Akira then walked back to them seeing that Gon already found the hidden doors. He also saw Kurapika and Leorio walking toward Gon.

Gon looks at his friend walking towards them. Then he saw Akira suddenly fall down into the hidden door."Akira!!."

Gon's shout attracted other applicant's attention but they quickly ignored him and continued finding a hidden door.

Killua also saw how Akira fell but narrowed his eyes since it was impossible if Akira didn't do it purposely. They already tried opening one with Gon and it needs considerable push to open it up.

Kurapika and Leorio rushed to Gon's sides after hearing him worriedly shout. " What happened to Akira?."

" He already has entered the door." Killua said as he pointed to the door Akira's fallen into.

" Then let also go in." Leorio said as he tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge.

" Look like, One door per person. But why he didn't wait for us." Kurapika said that because of what happened in the airship he knew Akira wasn't a person that would leave them behind.

" Well, He fell down the door rather than entering it." Gon said as he scratched his cheeks.

" What! A trap?." Leorio said as he kicked the door but still didn't budge.

" Don't worry. It looks like each door has a different route. If it's Akira he would arrive at the tower base." Kurapika said as he finally understood the exam and explained it to his friend.

– On Akira's side.

After Akira fell down the door. Although he caught off guard because of the sudden fall with his reflexes he quickly positioned his body to not fall down head first.

Akira looks around the dim room and spots a light that comes from the board. But a light in the top stopped him, he looked up just to see someone falling.

" Catch me!." A voice rang out of the room.

Akira didn't have time to dodge and because of the sudden brightness, he wouldn't be able to catch that someone.

* Crash* (?!)

When Akira came to himself, he slowly opened his eyes and looked at the one who fell on him. He saw a big hat but his focus wasn't on the hat but rather on the soft feeling pressing on his chest. ' So she is a girl.'

" I'm sorry. I didn't expect the wall to be easily pushed down." A soft and smooth voice rang out again the room.

The girl who falls down to Akira slowly stands up while Akira is supporting her.

' Rather than catch, I just couldn't get away.' Akira thought as he looked at the girl with a hat. " Rather than that are you okay?."

" Um, I'm fine thanks to you for catching me." The girl said as she looked at Akira.

" No worries, I'm glad I could be a help." Akira said as both of them walked towards the only light in the room.

After walking for a few steps they arrived in front of a board that had an instruction written on it. Both of them read it with a frown.

" So, It will be a three-group trial." Akira mumbled.

The Board suddenly changed from letters to a mohawk guy with shades. " That's right. I am Lippo the third-phase examiner. In this tower, there are many routes and each route has different requirements. What you guys got is "The Path of the Luck." It's a relatively easy course where you guys just need to win one game to get into the tower base. Just think of it as Bonus Mode. I wish you the best!."

"Sounds like a Bonus Game to me." Akira said.

Then the Board changed again into Instruction and the dim room became brighter. Akira looked at the girl who squashed him. It was a girl with sea-green hair and forest-green eyes in other words She had a relatively cute face.

She wore a salmon blouse, pale yellow pants, and orange flats. She also wears a big yellow hat with white flaps. She was really such a cutie.

' What's wrong with me?.' Akira thought as he shook his head.

" Ah, I am Ponzu. Thank you again for earlier." Ponzu said with a slight bow while placing her hand in front of Akira.

Akira stopped thinking for a second after hearing her name.

' Ponzu, Pokkle love interest in the series. The one who also bore a gruesome death. She will die being shot in the head before being ripped apart by a chimera ant'

Ponzu steps closer looking at Akira who is dazed. She is so close to him that their face is just an inch apart from touching. "Um, Hello."

Akira snapped from his thoughts and stumbled upon seeing Ponzu's face an inch apart from his. He then looks at Ponzu a bit embarrassed. ' She looks innocent but deadly! .'

" I'm Akira, Please to meet you. And you're most welcome." Akira said as he took her hand accepting her handshake.

" Then I call you, Akira-san. Is that can is yours?." Ponzu said as she pointed the can.

Akira looked in the direction she was pointing and saw an orange can of juice. It was a can of soda that familiar to him.

" That Fatso!." Akira muttered to himself finally getting how he fell down earlier. It was because of Tonpa, that fatso placed the can between the hidden door to create a gap and make the one who step on it fall down.

" Akira-san, Do you think we should plan how we do from here? After all, Although we only need to win one game to pass this trial it doesn't mean we can already win the first game." Ponzu said as she collected all the information she could get from the Examiner's words earlier.

" I don't mind. We also don't know when the next person will find the hidden door to this room. It would be logical to not waste our time by only waiting." Akira then sat down in front of Ponzu.

"Let's start with ourselves first." Ponzu suggests as she shows her ability to command the bees inhabiting inside her hat.

Akira flinched seeing a lot of bees coming out from Ponzu's yellow hat. " How can all of that manage in that hat."

" It was our family secret." Ponzu said as she put her hand on her mouth while giggling at Akira's shocked face.

" Just like what you saw, I can command these bees." Ponzu said as she looked at Akira.

Akira pondered for a second before saying. " Aren't revealing this would be a disadvantage for you in the next exam?."

" No, It's not like nobody knows about it. And just think of it as payment for the... " Ponzu said the last words almost whispering.

" For what?." Akira said as he tilted his head not hearing what she said.

" Nothing, Let's just say this was needed to make sure we passed this exam." She said with a small blush on her face.

Akira sighed and finally accepted it. It's not like he can unheard what she said. " Since we're talking about ability maybe mine is in archery but I'm also can fight in close combat."

Akira said as he pointed the bow and arrows to his side, showing he was an archer.

The two continue talking about trivial things rather than planning for their next move. Neither of them notices how fast the time passed.
