25 Explaining

After leaving Meteor City, they had to find a large vehicle which ended up being a trash truck coming to load more trash. Feitan knocked out the driver, and everyone quickly got in.

It was not that Feitan was soft-hearted and saved the driver's life. Still, there is a rule everywhere in the world, be it Meteor City or everywhere else, that you can't kill drivers who transport garbage.

This is because for people to survive in Meteor City, they rely on these drivers to pick up garbage.

Either way, as residents of Meteor City, all the current members had a small level of acknowledgment towards the place. They didn't want it to be destroyed.

Under the moonlight at the dark night, you could see a large truck driving through the vast and endless desert. At the wheel was a man with his arm out the window, enjoying the drive.

This was Franklin, who was currently the oldest in the group. The co-pilot was Uvogin, and he was currently laughing as they drove at high speed in the boundless wilderness outside.

It wasn't just Uvogin who was excited, however. This excitement seemed to float throughout the entire group. This was everyone's first time outside Meteor City, and everything was new to them. Even this vast and boundless desert felt like a breath of fresh air to them all.

In the back of the truck, Chrollo and Loki were currently explaining Nen to Feitan and Pakunoda with their unique insights. Franklin, who was in the front, was also listening closely while driving.

Currently, the group's only people who had thoroughly mastered Nen were Chrollo and Loki. Although Uvogin, Nobunaga, and Machi had learned Nen, they had yet to create their own hatsu.

As it turned out, Chrollo already had his own unique hatsu, Skill Hunter.

Description: Chrollo can steal the Nen abilities of others to use as his own through a conjured book known as "Bandit's Secret." The victim, of course, no longer has access to the stolen ability. The theft happens under strict conditions:

Chrollo must witness the Nen ability in action with his eyes.

He must ask questions about Nen and be answered by the victim.

His victim's palm must touch the handprint on the cover of Bandit's Secret.

All of the above must be completed within one hour.

This hatsu had a lot of conditions, but it was in exchange for an extremely powerful ability. Currently, he hasn't stolen any unique hatsu yet.

This still meant that the current top two in the Phantom Troupe were qualified to teach the others the basics.

"So that magical power is called Nen?" asked Feitan, who was sitting in the corner. Currently, his fingers were twitching, showing a little bit unnerved.

"Yes… After we reach a suitable city, Loki and I will help you open your Aura Nodes. Make sure you learn Nen as soon as possible to improve your strength." Chrollo said lightly.

Pakunoda heard this and nodded while Feitan's fingers slowly calmed down. In their hearts, however, they were very much looking forward to this new and interesting power.

"Speaking of this… I'm curious about what attributes you guys all have. I am a Specialist." Asked Chrollo curiously, he looked at Loki, Nobunaga, Machi, and Uvogin.

"Mhm..? Me and Uvogin are Enhancers, and Machi is a Transmuter. As for Loki, he is a Specialist as well." Said Nobunaga.

"Specialist? You should have developed your own hatsu already, right?" Chrollo asked as his eyes shone, looking at Loki.

Loki, seeing this, smiled a bit and decided to entertain them a bit as he explained his own hatsu. As a Vice-Captain, it was important to show initiative.

"Black Light…" Loki said while snapping his fingers.

Around the area, black stars of light appeared, allowing Loki to manipulate it as he wished. Seeing this Chrollo looked around curiously.

"Is it a Conjuration ability?" Chrollo asked inquisitively.

"It is partially," Loki said with a smirk.

Suddenly the area around everyone changed as they were now sitting in a diner with people all walking around them. Seeing this, everyone had various reactions.

Machi, Uvogin, and Nobunaga were relatively calm, while people like Chrollo were looking around curiously with a light smile.

Feitan, Pakunoda, and Franklin were extremely surprised and immediately became vigilant. To them, they had just been transported to a completely new area, causing them to be wary.

"Calm down… It's not real. What you see is an illusion, and the reality is that we are still sitting in the truck while Franklin is still driving with my help." Loki said with a smile.

This, however, made all of them somewhat confused. Even Uvogin, Machi, and Nobunaga didn't know the specifics of the ability, although they had seen it in action. The area in front of them currently showed no flaws, and it left them confused about how Franklin could still drive while here.

"The ability works based off of the black light you saw earlier. It unfolds in what I call a domain and allows me to make some very interesting applications. What I am using now uses manipulation to confuse your senses giving me almost full control of all of your senses. This allows me to subtly manipulate people, especially those without Nen." Loki said with a smirk.

Hearing this made a few of their eyes somewhat wide-eyed. Chrollo was especially surprised as he immediately saw the vast potential with ability. This was an ability that he was extremely interested in.

"I won't show everything but a small example of some things I can do this…." Loki said before moving his hand towards the end of the table.

As they turned to look, they saw a waiter come up with some tableware. As he was setting the tableware down, the waiter suddenly pinched Franklin, causing him to be somewhat stunned as he thought they were illusions.

He immediately left a pained expression which confused everyone for a second. Franklin was a big guy and was not someone who would feel pain over a small pinch.

"I have the ability to give the illusions. I create a corporeal form allowing them to inflict pain. This pain could not harm the real living body, but all pain is amplified over five times in exchange. So while that was a small pinch, it most likely felt like his arm was stabbed." Loki explained, seeing their confused expressions.

This made a few expressions change once again. Feitan, however, looked oddly intrigued, like he wanted to know the limits of pain that one could inflict.

"As you can imagine, if I give them a knife and they stab you… It will feel incredibly painful. This is due to the black light that I infused into each illusion manipulating the senses further on contact. I've recently been thinking about further applications, but that's for the future." Loki said with a smile.

This caused Chrollo to smile as he could see how versatile this ability was. After doing research, he was able to understand that for some people, a single hatsu could be used in an infinite number of ways. Chrollo could already somewhat see the path Loki would walk in the future and couldn't help but be happy that Loki was an ally.

This was an ability that was invaluable in many situations. Highly versatile and highly lethal.

Through this small revealing of abilities, they had all gotten closer and opened up. They talked about the future and looked forward to it with growing excitement.

Soon the sun would rise, and they would reach the big city, starting their next move in this outer world.
