A flaw

Pakunoda and Franklin also nodded slightly to this.

Loki had already proven his abilities by rescuing Uvogin and Nobunaga, and after listening to his chats with Chrollo, Uvogin, and others, they also realized that Loki had a power they didn't understand yet.

This was not even counting that his aura had stunned them to the point that they couldn't breathe properly. In terms of strength, he far outweighed them, so they had no reason to object to this.

"Whatever…" Feitan mumbled as he glanced towards other places trying to avoid the gazes. Just a while ago, he was doubting Loki, but when Uvogin and Nobunaga stood in front of him in good condition, he had nothing to say.

It was also when he found out that they had destroyed the elder's building and killed the elder that he had a faint recognition. It wasn't until he felt Loki's aura a moment ago that he realized that he was currently outclassed.

This did not upset him but made him feel a bit awkward. After all, he had just been questioning Loki when all of this happened.

His face currently hurt from all of the times his face had been metaphorically slapped throughout this conversation.

"What do you think of Loki? Everyone approves of you." Chrollo said while looking around at everyone with a smile.

This made Loki silent. This was not anywhere in his plans. Although he enjoyed the atmosphere of the Phantom Troupe, by basically becoming the second Leader, his pride would force him to put more effort into the Phantom Troupe.

"Hmmm… I suppose this actually doesn't get in the way of my ideas that much. In fact, I had already planned to raise the level of the Phantom Troupe. Although I don't mind joining an organization, there is no way I'm joining one randomly. I will only join the best and be recognized as the best…." Loki thought while looking at Chrollo seriously.

Loki looked around to see expectation in Uvogin and Nobunaga's eyes, some indifference in Machi's, some curiosity and recognition from Franklin and Pakunoda, and an uncomfortable feeling laced with some faint recognition from Feitan…

This caused him to turn towards Chrollo and eye him seriously once again.

"Chrollo, you must know that what you are asking me is much more serious than you think… I don't mind following you as I know that you will give me the freedom I need, but if I take this position, things will be different. I refuse to stand at the head of an organization that is not the absolute best. My pride won't allow it." Loki said with a stern look.

This, however, only made the corners of Chrollo's mouth raise.

"I know you won't… That's why I offered you this position. You may try to hide it, but I could see that when you joined, you already had some thoughts about us by the way you interacted. This could only mean that you suspected something like this to happen. If that's the case, why wouldn't you try harder to gain the position of Leader?" Chrollo said curiously.

This, however, made Loki's eyes shrink a bit.

"It would seem that I still underestimated Chrollo a bit…." Loki thought to himself.

"It was only then that I took into account what I've seen of you. Although you act indifferent, it can be seen that you have pride within you. This pride is what kept you from becoming a leader, as you know that if you become a leader, you will refuse to allow the Troupe to be anything other than the best. By becoming Vice-Leader, this fact remains the same, doesn't it ...." Chrollo said with a smile.

"This pride is what allowed you to reveal a flaw..." Chrollo said lightly.

"Hehe… It seems you have me figured out, Chrollo… Although it's somewhat different from being the Leader, this still requires me to invest more time into this group. This doesn't answer my question, though. Are you ready to commit to this?" Loki asked with a smirk.

Although Loki was a little surprised Chrollo could figure all of this out in a short time, he was not upset. This only made him happier as it proved that his investment in the Phantom Troupe would be worthwhile. Being Vice-Leader also wouldn't force him to put all of his efforts into the Troupe, leaving him time to handle his own projects.

"Why wouldn't I? Isn't the purpose of the Leader to make sure the Troupe becomes stronger?" Chrollo said with a calm smile.

"In that case, it would seem that I'm completely tied to this ship of thieves…." Loki said with a smirk.

Loki was in a good mood. Although somewhat different from his plans, this also made him happy.

"Chrollo, isn't there usually only one spider head, however?" Loki said leisurely.

"It can be said that the head can also be divided into two parts. The left brain and the right brain…." Chrollo said, making a rare joke.

"Now that we have both the position of Leader and Vice-Leader sorted out, It's time to explain some things. The team will not bind the member's freedom. Except for necessary big events that require gatherings, the members are free to move around at other times. In order to ensure that our team can proceed with the strongest strength after our team of thirteen is full if others want to join the brigade…." Chrollo said, slowly becoming severe.

"You can kill an existing member of the team, allowing them to replace that person and become a new team member…." Chrollo said lightly.

When everyone heard this, their expressions all changed subtly.

Uvogin was now grinning, while Feitan was a bit arrogant and disdainful.

Both of them had a large amount of self-confidence that they would not be replaced by others.

Loki also smiled subtly as he understood the true reason for this rule. Although it would help ensure a sustainable increase in strength, this would also motivate members of the team to not relax.

"It's truly killing two birds with one stone…." Loki thought with a smirk.

"If a group member dies due to other reasons, the group leader will take the initiative to find new members. This is my simple idea…." Chrollo said while his eyes swept across the audience.
