3 I ACCEPT

"Wait, she offered you that much money, just to marry her," Ryan shouted at the top of his voice, sounding very surprised at what he heard.

"Yes," Jason replied casually.

"And you didn't accept it," Ryan yelled at him.

"Why should I?" Jason asked as he took off his watch.

"Why wouldn't you accept it? Do you realize how much that is?" Ryan asked as his eyes widened in shock.

"Do you realize accepting it means having a fake marriage and getting involved in God knows what?" Jason answered with another question.

"And so f**king what, all that matters is that you will get paid with fine cash." Ryan is getting frustrated about that situation.

"Look, think about it carefully before declining the offer. You don't know if you will get the chance again." Ryan said then he left the living room.

"What about Emma, have you forgotten she is still my girlfriend." Jason's voice echoed in Ryan's ears.

"Don't make that an excuse, you both know there is nothing left in the sick relationship," Ryan said before slamming his bedroom door.

Jason fell back on the couch as he rubbed his forehead with his fingers, he closed his eyes lightly as he thought about Olivia's offer. The only reason he has to accept it is, what that money could do for him.

He started considering his sick aunt, the woman who raised him and made him and sponsored his whole education. With such an amount of money in his hands, he could pay for her surgery. After thinking for about 15 minutes he finally came to a decision, he opened his eyes slowly and sighed silently.

He brought out the card she gave to him at the bar and scanned through it carefully.

"Olivia Smith." He read out her full name, slowly.

"Hmm…. Sounds familiar." Jason said thoughtfully.

He brought his phone from his other pocket then he typed her number on the card. After dialing her number, he placed the phone against his ears.

"So, have you thought about my offer?" Olivia asked immediately if she answered the call.

"Yes." Jason said after a few seconds.

"And you accept, right?" Olivia asked as she anticipatedly waited for his answer.

"I accept," Jason said, not sounding excited about it.

"Great." Olivia's voice was filled with excitement even though she tried to hide it.

"Don't get too excited or else I'll change my mind." He said in a rigid and firm tone.

"Ugh… what a joy killer." She spat out in irritation.

"Anyway, let's meet at the same bar tomorrow night so that I can explain things better to you," Olivia suggested.

"Sure, what time?" Jason asked, ignoring her previous comment.

"Uhm… whenever you're available, just call me," Olivia answered.

"Okay," Jason said, then he hung up.

"How rude, he couldn't say goodbye," Olivia said as she stared at her phone screen in displeasure.

"I hope I won't put up with this once we fake our marriage." She said after saving his number on her contact list.

After saving his number, she dipped her phone back into her pocket then she placed her hands on her waist looking intensely at a blank wall.

Olivia has always had a flair for painting and drawing, she drew her first self-portrait when she was 8 years old which surprised many viewers. Since her parents knew she had a great passion for it, they enrolled her in the best art school which improved her drawing and painting skills. She mostly prefers street art and what better way to do that than going around painting the walls of the streets.

Many people know of the famous Miss. V, a street artist but only Chloe and Felix know it's her. She has two identities, Olivia smith and Miss. V. Olivia Smith wears lady-like gowns and heels while Miss. V wears badass dresses and boots.

After staring at the wall for a while, she unzipped her bag pack and brought out different colors of spray cans and a pair of headphones. She moved closer to the wall, put on the headphones, and started to bring her creative Idea to life.

After a while, she was done with whatever she was painting. She took a few steps back to have a clearer view, her lips formed a wide smile after beholding her work.

"Husband for hire." She recited what was painted on the wall by her.

"Good job Olivia." She complimented herself as she brought out her phone to take a nice picture.

Immediately she took a picture, she returned all the cans to her bag then she ran to her motorbike and zoomed off.

~Back at the Smiths mansion~

Olivia returned home, sinking into her room quietly. She made sure not to make any sound so as not to disturb her parents. Immediately she entered her room she switched on the light and to her surprise, she met her mom sitting quietly on her bed.

"Would you mind telling me where you are coming from at this later hour?" Evelyn questioned her daughter.

"Ooh… mom, you scared me," Olivia said as she acted scared.

"You haven't answered me, Olivia." Evelyn kept a firm face as she waited for her answer.

"From Chloe's house." Olivia lied through her teeth with a convincing look on her face.

"You know I hate lies. So, don't lie to me." Evelyn stood up from the bed and approached Olivia.

"Okay fine, I went to have a drink to clear my head of all the thinking I've done lately." She told half the truth to her mother.

"And what's in the bag," Evelyn asked as she looked at the bag.

"Mom, what's with all the questions? I told you I went to have a drink, that's all." Olivia walked past her mother and fell flat on her bed.

"Olivia, I don't have a problem with you going out. But I don't like you lying to me." Evelyn walked back to the bed and sat near her daughter.

"I don't like it either but I can't tell you everything, Mom." Olivia pushed her body up with her elbows as she said honestly.

"When you were little, you used to tell me everything but now I barely know anything about what goes on in your life," Evelyn said looking saddened.

"Mom, I promise to tell you everything when the right time comes…okay." She kissed Evelyn's cheeks as she enveloped her in a tight hug.

"Okay, my love." Evelyn said as she kissed her head lightly and then stood up to leave.

"Goodnight, Mom." Olivia greeted with a smile on her face.

"Goodnight." Evelyn left the room and closed the door behind her.

Olivia sighed in relief once her mother was out of view. She didn't enjoy lying to her mother but she just couldn't tell her what she was really doing or else the one thing she enjoys doing will be taken away from her.
