1 Chapter-1<The Beginning-1>

The Spirit Continent is a huge piece of landmass that contains the world cultivators. In this world, cultivators are the beings that have supernatural powers from which they could do amazing feats. Some cultivators have enough power that they could disintegrate a whole mountain by just lifting their fingers.

This world is very cruel and lawless. But it is a world that still thrives even with its flaws. In this world, there is one existence that has the utmost power imaginable. That existence has the power that no one in this continent could go against his words. That existence is called the Immortal King. And currently, Fu Xiaochen is the immortal king.

Due to his strength, Xiaochen had been given the title of immortal king. It is because of his cultivation and prowess being superior to all the people he had been given this title. He is a ruthless man that had killed the previous immortal king for the sake of vengeance. And now he sits at his seat. But Xiaochen the people know today was not always like this. Once he was a normal cultivator who just wanted to cultivate to make his clan proud. But one day his ambition came crashing down when his clan was destroyed.

It was later he found out that the immortal king ordered his clan to be eradicated. Not only that, his mother, sister, and aunts were all brutally beaten, tortured, and ra*ped before they were hanged. That faithful day something changed inside beloved Xiaochen. He stopped living and made vengeance his aim. But for his vengeance he needed power. And that was the start of a bloody journey.

For the sake of vengeance and power, he killed countless people. Many people that he killed many of them were deserving but many of them were not. He killed and killed until finally, he got the chance for revenge. He killed all the family members of the people that were responsible for his family's death. He did this so that they could also feel the despair that he once felt.

It was after that he killed everyone…

As for the previous immortal king, he had it worse. Xiaochen ra*ped every female that immortal king was involved with in front of him. Then he chopped off his body parts slowly while torturing him. And it was only then he killed him.

After the previous immortal king's death, suddenly Xiaochen found himself lost. After killing his enemy and fulfilling his ambition he suddenly had no goal. Xiaochen then sat on the immortal king's throne and started ruling the spirit continent with the best of his abilities. He changed the social structure of the spirit continent and made this place less chaotic. People started loving him for this.

One day he fell in love and got married. He never had thought that he would fall in love but fortunately, he did. After so many years he was finally happy in his life…

But one faithful day his happy life came crashing down when his wife whom he loved so much tried to kill him. That betrayal that day was too much of a shock for him. He faked his death and ran away from that place….

It has been 200 years since the immortal king Fu Xiaochen had died. Since then the one and only wife of Xiaochen had remarried the prime minister of the court and now was ruling the spirit continent with him. Xiaochen that once revered for his benevolence was now forgotten by the common people. Now only scholars remember his name.

Xiaochen who was alive and kicking had become an old man now. He now lives in the same place where his journey started. He lives in the mountain where his clan was located. Xiaochen now lives a secluded life in a small hut alone. His power is still intact and with his power, he could take back the spirit continent if he wants to. But he refused to do so.

Xiaochen was fed up with all the betrayals and killing. After fulfilling his dream of vengeance he wanted to settle down and have a family. But as that didn't pan out as he expected it to be, Xiaochen now just wants to die peacefully. In the past 200 years, he had thought and thought about what he should do next. Maybe there was something that intrigued him. But nothing came to his mind.

So finally after 200 years, Xiaochen had decided that it was time to end his suffering once and for all. He would explode his dantian. Thus he would kill himself….

Xiaochen woke that morning with a smile on his face. Although as a cultivator he didn't need to sleep much but still slept. He had a smile on his face today was the day when his suffering would finally end. And death was something that he was looking forward to.

Xiaochen went down the mountain to kill a normal deer. He killed the deer as he wanted to try to make a deer stew soup just like his mother used to make for him. Although his mother was a lady of the clan and didn't need to cook. But sometimes when Xiaochen would get sick, she insisted on making this soup herself. And for some reason, Xiaochen was craving that soup this particular day.

Xiaochen had never tried to make this soup himself. But still, he wanted to try. He gently butchered the deer's meat and started working on his ingredients…

Xiaochen was not a chef and didn't know how to cook properly. The end result was nothing like he expected it to be. But still, he was satisfied with the last meal of his life. But as Xiaochen finished the last drop of soup, he sensed something wrong.

He activated his divine sense and checked the envoirment. What he saw baffled him. As far he could sense, he sensed that the world had frozen in time. From birds to the stream nearby, everything and every living being was frozen in time. Seeing this he was baffled. No one can possess this kind of power. Seeing this Xiaochen started thinking about the kind of being was capable of this feat.
