Letting Him Know

"Pay with my life?. Like those innocent people who you killed?"

Zerek's manly voice had returned, but along with it a mysterious dark aura as well made its entrance.

His words made the fireballs Richard procured on his hands and above his head flicker in fear. But the question he asked didn't make any sense to Richard, who had slowly but involuntarily begun to tremble.

"What's gonna happen to you now is what happens when I'm a bit serious."

Those words Zerek spoke, at that very moment, had sent a signal of flight to Richard.

"H-y..."

A muffled voice spoke.

"W-ll-am dude, H-y"

The same muffled voice repeated.

A hand slowly went up and tapped on William's shoulder.

Just as the fingers touched his body, the burning sensation inside William's mind cleared up as his eyes came back to life. The touch from the owner of the muffled voice had dissipated William's dive back to his past. He felt like he had surfaced to the land after a deep scuba dive.
