Chapter 25
We all continue walking through the school. We come across Mrs hill. She joins our search for sheriff Erwin.
Down the hall we hear screams. We all run towards it. We run into the gym to see the rest of the teachers and sheriff Erwin. They are all holding onto each other huddled up in a circle. Something dropped from the ceiling. They all screamed.
"Deputy take Mrs hill and go!" Julian shouts
"I'm not taking orders from a kid!" She detests
Julian halfway transforms revealing his fangs, ears, and eyes to deputy Carter. Her and Mrs hill bolt out of the school.
"Nice going." Ben says
"What she was bound to figure out at some point in time." He shrugs
Lola and I transform. I use my night vision. I get closer to what ever it is that fell. It was a body... Mr jasper! I looked up to see what could be described as a wendigo.
I saw it in Mandy's book of the supernatural. It had teeth like a shark. It appeared human but it transformed and had a white scaly texture and those sharp teeth. It's eyes turned completely black. It's like the thing had no soul at all.
"Adena what are you doing here?" Sheriff Erwin asks
"Ethan you need to get these people out of here." I say
I think he understood because he picked Mr Jasper up and escorted the rest of the school staff out. It was really an escort it was more a run for your life kinda thing. Julian shut the door so the wendigo couldn't get out.
Then the wendigo dropped down. I stood face to face. Then just right in front of us the wendigo collapsed.
"What the hell?" Julian shouted
Julian transformed back human. Lola poked it with her foot. It moved and Lola jumped into Julian's arms. He smirked and she kissed his cheek.
I looked at the wendigo as it went back to human form. It was one of the Lynch's. I think her name is Rose... She's a freshmen this year.
"Wait how the hell is a Lynch a wendigo I thought the Lynches where hunters." Lola asked
"Like Oliver?" I asked
"Ew don't even say his name!" Lola says
"Anyway, so what do we do now?" I ask
"Probably cut her head off and burry her... Sound good, because I like that plan." Julian says
"Sounds good to me." Lola says
"Hold up, I'm not normally the voice of reason here but shouldn't we find a way to make her human and not kill her?" I ask
"Nah, can we kill her already?" Julian says
Lola shrugs. Ben didn't pick a side.
"Your out numbered Adena." Lola says
I have had enough. Who's the alpha here? I was and that meant I out numbered them by a long shot! I transformed and my eyes glowed red. I growled at them.
"Fine keep her alive it is." Julian says a little taken aback by the fact I had just pulled that card from the stack
I picked her up and we all ran to Casey's house. I knocked and Casey let us in.
"What's this?" She asks pointing to Roses body on the table
"This is Rose, she's a wendigo and we need to know if there's a spell to make her human again?" I ask
"Let me see." Casey says
She heads over to the book shelf and takes a book off. It's labeled wendigo. Go figure. She reads through.
"Anything?" Julian asks
"Shut. Up!" She says
Casey continues to read. She stopped reading and walked over to Rose. She used magic to make the book float in front of her. She read
From the pages and did exactly as it said. Which required a couple of herbs and a few spells.
Finally she finished.
"Did it work?" Lola asked
"I don't know why don't you ask her." She said referring to rise who had just sat up as she rubbed her head
"What the hell am I doing here?" She asked
"Well you went all wendigo crazy on the school staff and now they know the supernatural exist nice going freshy!" Julian says
"Try to be a little nice?" Lola asked Julian
"Anything for you." He said in a mocking tone
"Do. Not. Start. Shit with me!" Lola says
"Just did. Babe." He said as he poked her
She took him by the ear and dragged him outside.
"What was that?" Rose asked
"You ask a lot of questions. Don't you?" I ask
"Yeah." She says
"Anyway, your human now, leave my house." Casey says
"What is wrong with you all today did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" I ask
"And since when are you Mrs let's not kill anyone?" Casey asked
"Well, she's a freshmen and her life isn't a ticking time bomb." I say
"Oh. I'm sorry Adena." Casey says as she realized why I've been anti-killing spree lately
"I'm gonna go home now." Rose said
She left and Casey walked over to me and gave me a hug. She started crying.
"Why are you crying?" I asked
"I just realized you don't have much time left and I don't want you spending your last years seeing us on days like these." Casey said
"It's fine I rather you guys be you." I say
"That's good cuz I so would have killed the bitch." Lola says as she was standing in the door at with Julian
"See that's the Lola I know and love... And Casey please stop crying." I say
"There's a party at Killian's house tonight wanna live our teenage lives?" Lola asked
"Hell yeah, let's get Mandy." I say
"I'll pass." Casey says
"Ben?" I ask
"Oh hell yeah!" Ben replied eagerly
"Suit your self." Lola says to Casey
"Don't come crying to me when you need hangover relief... never mind you can't get drunk." Casey says
"Damn, I was hoping to drown my problems with alcohol." Lola says
"Same." Ben said
"We still could go and have fun." Julian suggested
"Let's go get Mandy!" Lola shouts
"Who's driving?" Asks Ben
