7 7. Reaching Phase-2

The proctor Mr.Satotz started to explain about the Milsy wetlands.

"What you see infront of you is called Milsy wetlands or also known as Swindlers swamp. To reach the second phase of the exam we have to cross the wetlands.

Be on guard all the time because the creatures living in the wetlands hunt through the art of deception. You have to follow closely behind me to reach the second phase and don't fall for any of their trick".

"If we know they are tricking us who's gonna fall for it" Leorio replies.

"Don't fall for it" a voice was heard abd everyone turns to back of the crowd to see who it was.

"look didn't I just say we are not gonna fall for it" Leorio replies at the voice clearely annoyed and slowely turns towards the voice.

As the person whose voice was heard comes forward. he looked pretty beaten up.

"Don't fall for it. I am the real proctor of the hunter exam, he is just a imposter a manfaced ape","A manfaced ape is a creature of Swindlers swamp and has long limbs, so they pretty weak and often disguise as other people and tricking them into following them and prey on their fesh" tells the new person."And I can even prove it" saying this he pulls a manfaced ape who just looks like Satotz.

Everyone was sweating bullets hearing this and were really scare about following the trickster this long.

"Bastard" Leorio says looking like as he came to a realisation that Satotz is a fake.

"That explains his weared way of walking" replies Hanzo.

At this moment everybody is in a dilemma whom to believe in.

"Why should we believe you either. For your information even you or anyone in this exam could be a manfaced ape. you might've even disguised yourself as a proctor to fool us" I quipped a question towards him. He was visibly shaken for a second that his deception was found out but soon recovered. "And you even said that they have very weak limbs then how could Satotz run for 8hrs straight without breaking a sweat" I told him again about my conclusions.

Immideatly everyone came to a realisation that they were almost completely fooled. And even I'm no exception , I was also fooled at first when I watched the hxh show, I couldn't catch that line when he first said that because I was shocked seeing some ape similar to Satotz . I only caught on to that line when I read someone mentioning about it in one of the fanfiction in webnovel. After that I watched that episode once more to check it out and turned out to be real. Everyone also came to the same realisation as me after my small speach.

The manfaced ape was stammering for a reply and everyone was waiting for it's reply and looking like they were ready to tear it into pieces. "I.." as soon as it opened it's mouth, out of nowhere three playing cards were embeded into the manfaced ape, two on either side of it's chest and one in it's forehead killing it in the process, and at the same time three more were headded toward Satotz and Satotz caught them between his fingers without any problem at all.

Everyone looked at the one who threw those cards and caught the figure of Hisoka shuffling the card in his hands with a smirk on his face.

"I see, I see, you must be the real proctor of the exam. The proctor of the hunter exam are seasoned hunters taking the job of proctors without the salary. And are very powerful" explains Hisoka with an amused smirk on his face and soon turned towards me with a smile of an animal which plays with its prey. I felt a shiwer run down my spine as I looked at the smile.

"I take that as compliment. And if you ever again try to attack me for any reason at all, I must have to inform the exam committee about your actions and immediately disqualify you from this year's hunter exam" Satotz tells Hisoka sternly and saving me unintentionally at the same time. Hisoka hearing this immideatly lost his previous enthusiasm and returns to his original place.

"Even if I told you earlier many of you were fooled by the manfaced ape. They live by eating flesh of animals for food and since, they are weak their objective was to lure some of the applicants with his to feed on you". hearing this Leorio and Hanzo start to scratch their back of the head looking elsewhere and saying that they weren't fooled. And it was really amusing to see their faces.

"Everyone now please follow begind me and don't loose sight of me" Sarotz saying this starts to march toward the Swindlers swamp in his wierd style.

As soon as the run started I immediately made the decision of following closely behind Satotz because of the smirk Hisoka gave me, I was really shaken for a few seconds there and I also have no real skills in tracking people and that too in a wetland with this huge fog covering us.

I immideatly entered into the state of Zetsu* as soon as the fog covered us. This is a Nen* technique that I learned during my one year of training back in the village. This exercise is really hard to learn and needs lots of patience and I mean really lot. It became little easier after I started sensing aura in my body. By entering the state of Zetsu* ensures that all the creatures and other applicants ignore my existsnce and I can safely reach the second phase. And the reason why only now I'm entering the state of Zetsu* is because previously I was visible to everyone and if suddenly my aura disappears out of nowhere it will attract lots of unwanted attention that I don't want. But now here no one can see me and even if my presence disappears no one could spot me, little less following in this heavy fog.

And with this I didn't encounter any trouble on the way and my first phase of the hunter exam came to an end smoothly.
