27 Chapter 27: First Round Part two

Tompa was shocked by the reply, but he had a thick skin, and he would not let a chance to destroy a rookie without taking it. So he put his hands in his bag and took out some drinks for Geno and his party.

"By the way, shall we drink to celebrate our meeting?" Said Tompa while drinking one himself. As if such a small trick would work on the gang.

They took the drinks and did not care for Tompa anymore. They started drinking as if there was nothing wrong with their Juice. The laxative that Tompa put in the juice was only nutrients for the group.

Tompa was stunned for a second. And he could only think inside his mind that more monsters were appearing in this years' exams. He did not dare to stay in the group's sight and disappeared at once.

While Geno was enjoying his drink, he sensed some gazes directed at him. He turned his head in the direction of the people looking at him and found three people looking at him.

The first was the blonde teenager that he found familiar. It was as if he was checking if Geno was the person for whom he was looking. After Geno directed his gaze in the teenager's direction, he saw him hesitating for some time before turning his head to talk with Ging's son.

The second was our man, Hisoka. He was interested in Geno since their eyes met. And he had been staring at Geno's ass since that time. Everyone in the party was getting chills in their spine because of that. Except for Geno, who thought it did not matter as he sensed Hisoka's battle lust. Geno did not know if he behaved like Hisoka when he released his battle lust, but Geno was sure he would not be looking at the people's asses.

The third was a man with many pins on his face. He was looking at Geno for a while. Geno looked at him for a moment before remembering his aura. He knew it was Illumi who was using his Nen on the pins to distort his appearance.

'Why did he change his appearance? Is there something exciting with this exam?' Thought Geno to himself, wondering if there was something wrong with this year's exams.

Geno could only nod his head in Illumi's direction, trying not to show Illumi's secret. He got a nod back from Illumi, who turned his head away.

Illumi was shocked at first when he saw Geno. He did not know what brought this monster and his cousins to this year's exams. Illumi had heard about what those monsters had done, as the Zoldycks were the first to receive this information from multiple sources.

"LiLiLiLiLiLiLiLiLiLi.." Everyone in the hall heard this strange sound after half an hour had passed. It repeated three times before everyone turned in the direction of a weird looking man holding a head toy.

"Here I am. The time for the reception is over." Said the man as he looked at everyone. He was checking everyone with his creepy look.

"Now, the exam can begin." Said the man while releasing some of his aura.

He then jumped from the pipe and said.

"This way, please."

Geno was getting a weird vibe after hearing the man and seeing the way he moved. But he did not say anything.

Geno had promised his cousins that he would not ruin the exams and let them enjoy it. If he did anything, he should be ready for a good beating that he would receive from his cousins. So he listened to the man and followed him with the others.

The man started explaining while walking in the other direction of the tunnel. Geno could only ignore him and start talking with his cousins to pass the time. It was when the man took long and weird steps while he moved.

Everyone started to panic except the select few who did not care and started following the man. Geno wanted to finish this year's exams as fast as he could. He wanted to work on the finishing touches for their game so that He could release it earlier.

"I forgot one detail; I am Satotsu, and I am in charge of the first round. So I must lead you to the place of the second round." Said Satotsu as he explained to the examinees that the first round had already started.

Geno could not help but come close to Satotsu. He wanted to ask the man some questions to kill some time.

"Hey! Examiner Satotsu, Is this your normal walk, or someone stretched your legs before?" Asked Geno as he came close to the man and started checking his legs. He really was curious about those pair of legs. He did not think it was normal. The man was human, after all.

'Is he a cross-breeding between a human and a humanoid creature?' Thought Geno as he kept checking the man's legs. He did not read about any creature that had those traits, and Geno knew a lot. Geno was literally living with different monsters at home. He lived in forest ruins where even mythical creatures lived, so how would he not hear about a beast with those traits.

'Oh, I remember those Man-faced Apes when I visited Milsy Wetlands. Is Satotsu a descendent of those monkeys?' That was what Geno thought after a long wait. If Satotsu heard what was in Geno's mind, the author would swear that he imagined Satotsu dying in a pool of his own blood.

"Are you related to those man-faced Apes of Milsy Wetlands? Are they your relatives? From your father's side or your.... Argh." Asked Geno innocently before being interrupted by a fist in his face by his cousin, Emily. Satotsu, whose blood was about to come out of his nose, felt gratitude towards Emily, who saved him from such a brat. It did not take long before he was kicked in the face by Geno's cousin, Carlos's words.

"How could you ask such a personal question? What if it was a sensitive question? The Ape could be his father or mother. Are you going to tell that to everyone?" Said Carlos before receiving a fist, too. Satotsu could not stand beside those brats anymore and speeded his movements. He wanted to stay as far away as he could from those brats.

The rest of the examinees who saw this scene could only laugh after hearing the hilarious comments of Geno. Among those were the four original heroes of this anime, Gon, Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua.
