Chapter 36

Title: Island of Greed...

….

-General POV-

One year later… Sub and Karla have become floor masters in Heaven's Arena. The youngest really to earn that title at ten years old. They are both eating dinner in Sub's room.

Currently, Azula and Ogre have gone to do their own thing and separated. Of course, they were still under Karla's control so they can't run away from them, still, Sub has decided to take Karla with him to a certain place. 

'Since both of us got the necessary fighting experience against Nen users, we can now enter the next stage of our training.' Ponders Sub, his real motivations hidden.

He has recently just come to understand that he has been holding too much hope on being able to somehow use Azula's power for himself. But he is reminded of something truly terrifying, the Chimera Ants Royal Guards and the King… those are terrifying monsters. 'If we can't figure out how to use Azula's ability for our benefit then we have to kill her. Or else she will start turning to a dangerous risk for us. Just the thought of Meruem eating her terrifies me. Even the thought of Leol or Chrollo stealing her ability terrifies me too.'

If Sub didn't admit that he was terrified of Azula's prospect of her Hatsu Ability… then he would just be lying to himself. In the hands of anyone but himself and he wouldn't trust anyone with that ability.

'Well, Greed Island… here I come…' Contemplates Sub as he looks at Karla before him. He has already informed her of his decision and she agreed to come with him.

Sometime after Sub decides that passes and currently he and Karla are at an auction house, Karla is wearing a dark dress while Sub is wearing a dark suit. They are looking at the old man who just got the newest Greed Island game disk.

"Mister Battera gets this copy of the Greed Island game for sixteen billion Jenny." Announces the beautiful female who was presenting the items.

Battera is an old man with grey hair and pale skin. He is wearing a suit with a bow tie and a rose on his left side. People clap for him as he smiles politely at them.

After the auction, Battera finished sweet talking with people of his standing and finally had his bodyguards prepare the limo for him.

As he saw his limo arrive he enters it,  on the inside, it looks like your average limo. Except that two kids were sitting in front of him.

They both seemed to be around their early teen years and it is apparent from their young-looking bodies. 

The girl has strange-looking dark eyes with white pupils and she has long dark hair that reaches to the middle of her back. She is wearing a dark middle school sailor uniform.

The other kid is a boy, he was wearing a simple dark tank top and a pair of sport pants. 

They are Karla and Sub, they had the bodyguards under their control. 

"Excuse me for the inconvenience, old man." Apologizes Sub with a smirk on his face as Karla's bandages wrap around the old man.

-Sub POV-

I see Karla's Aura decrease by a little. Karla has been putting a lot of people under control and for every person, she does so her aura decreases. But it's such a small amount that usually it wouldn't be noticeable but now it is. It's also semi-permanent as unless she releases control of the victim, Karla will never be able to use that Nen of hers that is in her victims. It's like a permanent decrease in Aura output. 

I guess her Ability wasn't as broken as I thought it was. But then again, her ability is still monstrous. But when the ability is combined with Karla's Nen output, then it makes the ability from good to terrifying. Only after many years did we finally notice that something is wrong. It seems to be those stronger victims to control require stronger Nen with more quantity.

So if she tried to control Meruem, even if she somehow caught him with her bandages and he didn't use his monstrous strength to rip them off. She still wouldn't be able to put him under control. Still, it doesn't matter, her ability is still terrifyingly strong and very versatile.

-General POV-

After that ordeal, Sub and Karla take home a Greed Island console and now they also have a billionaire backing them up if they need anything monetary.

Still, they used Nen on the consoles and…

Fwosh!

They disappear in a flash, getting sucked into the 'game'.

After that, they both meet with a silver-haired and blue-eyed girl who explains the rules to Sub and Karla. Though they already knew the rules, they both paid attention to them.

After that, Sub is the first to come out of a tree-like thing and sees the wide grass field. He could already clearly see that this wasn't just a video game. How some people didn't notice this is beyond him.

After a couple of minutes Karla comes out and she smiles at Sub mischievously as she has her hands on her thick jacket's pockets.

"This will be quite fun, won't it Sub?" Asks Karla as she still has her smile on her face. She too already learned that this was the real world.

"Welp, let's get going." Confirms Sub when he sees Karla's smile. He didn't want to get caught in any problem yet, but problems seem to find him. 

When he sees a flash land in front of him. He is a lanky tall man with short spiky orange hair and uninterested brown eyes. "Well, well… seems like some noobs have come here again. Sorry kid, it's nothing personal but I gotta kill you. I don't like the competition."

Sub doesn't confirm anything and he attacks immediately. He doesn't answer or anything like that. After all, the man could be using this question as a requirement to activate his Hatsu Ability.

But when the man sees Sub charging at him he just sidesteps and Sub misses his attack. Sub pulls out his knife but the man also had a normal looking knife

Sub calculates every move and what should be done.

Karla doesn't even have to communicate with Sub at all as she just sends her bandages underground and sneaks attacks the man who dodges once again. This time her bandages give chase to the attacker. 

The attacker rushes Sub and he immediately goes towards the throat, but Sub isn't some slowpoke eater and blocks the slash with his Ben's knife 

Clang!

But at this time Sub, due to having a young body, his reach is nowhere near the man.

Fwosh!

The attacker jumped back and there was scratching on his cheek. Immediately the attacker feels dizzy as the poison from Ben's Knife. 

Sub smiles at this menacingly whole the attacker now has fallen prey to his plan.

But as Sub was about to attack, suddenly Nen gushed out of the attacker's body.
