Chapter 29

Title: Stagnant...

-Sub POV-

It was a hard decision, but one that must be made. Azula is simply too dangerous to let her be free. Her power could have been something amazing, it would have allowed the group to have multiple Hatsu. Sadly she decided to go against me. But hope is not lost and maybe one day, I or Karla will gain an ability that can allow us to use Azula's Hatsu ability.

Damn, I thought that maybe I could convince her to be on my side, but that was only wishful thinking. She joined me to learn Nen and she planned to leave. I couldn't allow that and she noticed that I wasn't planning to let her leave.

So here we are now…

I just look at Azula as her body is gently wrapped up with Karla's bandages, and as soon as that happens, the bandages are wrapped off and Krala looks at Azula and asks. "Azula, can you go and activate your Hatsu Ability?"

Azula smiles at Karla and says. "Yes, of course."

She goes outside and walks to one of the rooms who has one door, a roof, and four walls. That way she can activate her ability, she opens the door, and… as expected… it just leads to another room. I guess Azula being under control doesn't qualify as willing. This is it then, we will have to wait till we figure out something else.

One thing is for sure though…

I look at Azula and her body. She is the key to the power that I would like to have. Will she be the one to help me go to my limits and surpass them?

Damn, I guess I will have to step up my game.

I look around me and can't help but feel a little paranoid about this. Surrounded by enemies everywhere, there is no place I can actually feel safe. If I wasn't on guard against Azula she could have actually easily killed me.

Nen is not about raw power and Azula perfectly represents that. One hour inside her <Black Market Shop> will literally kill anyone… or I guess to make them 'No Longer Human', whatever the hell that means.

I look at Karla and see that she is looking at Azula, the latter has a smile on her face as she looks at Karla with a pure look of love. Her ability already has taken control of Azula, but still, this isn't the true Azula. It's just Karla's ability doing its thing, making someone she surrounds with her bandages love her unconditionally.

Obviously, I can already guess what she wants from me with an ability like that. She wants my love, sadly she can't have it. My love is only for me, I was always selfish. I won't give excuses like that my family died when I was young or something like that.

Anyway, hopefully since I am under so much stress and pressure maybe it can push my Nen to higher levels?

I take a deep breath and calm down my anxious heart. Honestly, I never trusted Azula but is Karla any better?

I give her a side glance. Her ability was literally developed to make someone love her unconditionally. Sh*t… but… I still moderately trust Karla. She would give her life for me, she loves me… in her own way. She is only seven so I don't think she even understands what love is even supposed to mean.

-General POV-

Since Azula falls under Karla's control, one year passes, and Sub and Karla, together with Ogre and Azula who actually act like normal and do everything normally, except that they have a pure love for Karla. They would do anything that pleases her, even giving up their lives.

Currently, Sub and the others were eating a cooked steak dinner. When you are strong, even in Meteor City you can get first-class food. They are in a fancy restaurant too, so they are golfing down food and making jokes between themselves.

Sub is also eating, but unlike Ogre who gulfs down everything without even chewing. Sub uses a knife and fork. While this was all happening he had a frown on his face, he hadn't had any success in training with his Nen as of lately, his Aura output is crazy for someone his age. But he is not satisfied with that at all, even the pressure he was under didn't help him too much.

It just seems like he has hit a read block on his training.

'Maybe I should find a teacher to teach me more about Nen. Maybe Biscuit?' Contemplates Sub, his mind thinking up of different ways on how to get stronger.

Karla on the other hand looks at him with a strange look in her eyes.

Suddenly he is pulled away from his thoughts and says. "Someone reacted strangely when he entered my En range. Meaning that he sensed my Aura wash over him, he is most likely a Nen user too."

Immediately the nonchalant looks on their faces change into serious ones and they nod. Sub just looks out of the window and sees that it is a beautiful full moon tonight.

*BOOOOM*

The wall next to Sub is broken and a beast-like man comes inside. He has the posture of a human and was even wearing pants. But his head was that of a wolf with white fur, and even his body was covered in fur.

The creature immediately went to attack Sub who even though being only eight years old, his Aura exploded out of his body, and in less than a second, it had formed an earth armor around him. Though he is using In to hide his Aura from the naked eye and unless someone uses Gyo, they won't be able to see it.

As the Werewolf-like creature's claw extends towards Sub…

Baaam!

Before the creature can even react Sub punched him in the stomach with one hand while his other hand uses his Ben's Knife...

Spurt!

…and a large gash appears on the creature's chest as Sub slashed at it. The creature looks at Sub with hatred in his eyes and is about to charge again until... Sub uses his 2nd Hatsu Ability.

Click! Click! Click! Click!...

Four bracelets appear around its four limbs and that is when the Werewolf felt a sense of heaviness. But it wasn't anything too big…

Sub looks at this with a calm look in his eyes and says. "Your ability is most likely called something like Werewolf, you can only use it during the full moon. That is what made your ability quite strong and at the same time made you arrogant enough to think that you must be unbeatable under the full moon. Also, you must be an Enhancer."

As soon as Sub says that…

Boom!

The Werewolf is slammed on the ground by an invisible force. Sub smiles at this as he saw his 2nd Hatsu Ability at work, this was somewhat of a brightener for his day.

'It seems like I have grown. This Werewolf is stronger than the swordsman I fought way back then. But still, I defeated this one so easily.' Analyzes Sub, and then he calls out. "Karla… come and wrap your bandages around this guy. It seems like we got another pawn on our hands."

"Okay Sub!" Says Karla and she wraps her bandages around the Werewolf, successfully under control.

AUTHOR NOTE:

As we can see after a while, progress starts slowing down on his training.

P.S: This is the MC's new ability. Also if we get 1000 power stones, you get a bonus chapter.

For Sub to activate this he needs to punch his target and then two brown cuffs made out of Conjured Rock appear on the limbs (or it doesn't have any lombs, a ring will appear around their neck/body). And the more information Sub has/gets from the enemy the more pressure their body gets put under. This effect will last up to 24hours since applied or if Sub decides to cancel it along the way.

Conditions:

(1) Can only be active at one person at a time.

(2) Sub must say out loud what he has found out and knows.
