Chapter 17

Title: Sub vs Lovro...

As soon as the people start shooting at me I immediately stop using EN to sense every movement that they make within my 15-meter range. I gather all of my Nen towards my body, knowing that En will be useless anyway, I can't dodge this amount of bullets anyway, so I will have to tank it then. As the bullets come close I use Ren, which pushes my Nen explosively outward. 

<Cheap Dirt>

Immediately the Aura around me takes the hard properties of stone.

Clink! Clink! Clink! Clink!....

All of the countless bullets only hit my Nen and slide off, though the shock of it is still injuring me a little. I mean very little, but with this amount of bullets, I will soon suffer a serious injury like swelling or something like that. 

Hmm… now I got an idea on how to use my Hatsu Ability, though I won't try it here and now because it might drop my defenses for a split second… and then I would be ripped to shreds.

So I just keep up my defenses and put my hand in front of my eyes so no shock damage gets to them. I use a small amount of Nen to sense the vibrations of the earth and where they all are as I run towards them.

As I got close, I see that some people to the sides stopped shooting at me in fear of injuring one of their comrades. But to me, this was a simple decision as with even the riot shields in front of me I make my Rock Hard Nen turn to sharp towards my hands. I can control my Nen to go through number zero to nine in under five seconds, I can definitely do something as easy as turning my Nen's edges sharp.

As I get close to them, I can see the barrel of the gun pointed only centimeters away from my head as it shoots at me. I just swipe my hand...

Immediately the riot shields are cut in half, together with injuring some of the men holding them. If my reach was longer than that of a six-year-old, I would have cut all of them in half. 

"Shoot him." Says one of them, I don't care to look up who it was as I jump towards one of the men. I use my hand as a spear as my Nen is pointy to the top of my fingers and...

Fwosh!

I try to pierce his chest but suddenly I can feel some knife touch my Nen and with some difficulty, it somehow cut through it, I immediately used the body of the other person as a foothold to jump back but still, somehow the person using the knife is able to make a small cut in my arm.

I immediately look at the cut in my arm and immediately feel a little dizziness. Fu*k… that is some strong poison. I look towards the person who cut me and see that it is Lovro, his sunken dark eyes looking at me with a little surprised look. 

I see the strange knife that he is holding an overly curved dagger. I immediately use Gyo and see that the dagger has some small Nen inside it. Hmm… it is most likely created by someone who uses Nen subconsciously.

I see then… this will be a little harder than anticipated then. Also, I can sense that the poison inside my body is something strong, even I, who have one of the highest poison resistances in the Organization, am affected by it.

Lovro then looks at his soldiers and narrows his eyes. In the end, he just shakes his head and says. "Retreat, I will kill the kid. You will only be in the way."

The other men pick their injured and start to leave. Lovro doesn't look at them at all, his full focus is on me. He has his knife and I have Nen, he also has experience on his side so there is that too. 

I am not willing to fight him in a battle that I am unsure I can win. I don't lose sight of him at all, and he too seems to be analyzing me and seems to be thinking of his ways to fight me. Also actually if he had kept the soldiers here, they would have been troublesome for me. But he doesn't have any information about Nen, so he definitely couldn't know about advanced techniques like En or such. He unknowingly gave me an advantage, but still, I still only have a 70% chance of killing him without being injured. Those are chances that I am not willing to take, I only take chances with at least a 95% success rate.

I immediately activate En again to sense every movement within a 15-meter radius around me. That is what I frown a little… I just sense a bunch of dead guards outside and one person just standing there waiting for me… well… this was unexpected.
