While creating 8 item cards in a row Jack regularly checked his Nen consumption during the creation of the cards and noticed that 20 aura units were consumed per item card he created using a bipedal lizard corpse ingredient card.
Another thing that Jack noticed was that the total additional stats points granted by each item card made using the bipedal lizard corpse ingredient card were 4. Leading Jack to believe that the strength of a bipedal lizard magic beast was weak so item cards created by it could only grant a total boost of four stat points.
Jack named the 8 item cards created using bipedal lizard corpse ingredient cards as the magical lizard beast item card collection. In the creation of 8 item cards Jack had consumed 8 of the bipedal lizard corpse ingredient cards out of 17 ingredient cards and now only had 9 more ingredient cards left.
Out of the 8 item cards he created, Jack was only excited about the Magical Lizard Beast Leather Gunny Sack item card as it allowed him to store things in it up to one cubic meter volume.
Though other item cards gave him additional stat points, they did not have much practical use compared to the wide range of applications of a storage-type card.
Jack equipped the gunny sack item card and soon a leather gunny sack appeared in his hand. Opening it, he put two big stones that he picked from the ground in it. The stones together weighed about 3 kg. Tying the gunny sack shut he recalled it back to its card.
Jack then went through his grimoire's item card slot where the gunny sack item card was placed. The item card info read 0.03 cubic meter space occupied of 1 cubic meter space.
Reading the leather gunny sack item card info Jack was overwhelmed with excitement. He had created a storage-type item card but soon regaining his calm he cheered in sheer enthusiasm, "Yes!"
In the original novel 'Card Apprentice Daily Log' the card apprentice would create storage-type cards using a trunk, suitcase, bag, etc, and store their day-to-day items in it making their daily life easier.
Even regular students in the novel would have their Iron-grade grimoire equipped with these cards to carry their books, study materials, lunch, and water bottles to school.
The storage trunk cards made using military-grade trunks were especially popular among card apprentices and mortals in the 'Card Apprentice Daily Log' novel since they could store large volumes of stuff of any shape and size and mostly because of their durability.
So creating a storage-type card using a magical lizard beast leather, though expected, was very satisfying for Jack especially since 1 cubic meter space was a lot of space.
Jack re-summoned the gunny sack and opening it he took out the rocks stored in it to check their condition. The rocks were unharmed and the same as they were before being stored in the gunny sack.
Emptying the gunny sack Jack recalled it. Then wondered if he should create a few more of these leather gunny sack item cards. But he has other plans for the remaining bipedal lizard corpse ingredient cards.
"Interesting Nen ability you got there," Kite who had been silently watching Jack use his Nen ability from the sidelines spoke visibly impressed by Jack's Nen ability.
"Yes, I am still figuring out how to use it," Jack wasn't being humble, he needed to explore the use of diamond grade grimoire using his knowledge of grimoire and card creation from the CADL novel.
Though his origin card 'Nen Remastered' has altered his diamond-grade grimoire to adjust to the Nen power system of the HxH universe the basic of grimoire and card creation was still the same.
Listening to Jack, Kite nodded in understanding and consoled him saying, "The Nen ability awakened unconsciously indeed needs to be explored, unlike the Nen ability they create consciously. Don't worry, since you awaken that ability it means that ability is the suitable ability for you. Considering your talent for Nen you will get the hang of it soon."
"Yes, thank you," Jack politely replied to Kite and the surroundings regained their silence as both of them once again got busy with their things.
After the conversation with Kite, Jack decided against creating more leather gunny sack item cards but continued with his original plans to explore the limits and possibilities of his diamond grimoire's card creation ability.
After all, the highlights of card creation in the 'Card Apprentice Daily Log' novel were not item cards but skill cards that allow the card apprentices to use various active and passive skills.
Having gotten the hang of the card creation now Jack believed he could try and create a skill card using the bipedal lizard corpse ingredient cards.
