My travels were now complete. After travelling for centuries and seeing the world, it was time for me to stop doing it. I have had enough anyway. Now I had different ambitions. These ambitions involved different aspects of both myself and the world as a whole. 

I knew what was coming, I had access to Divination and it was getting stronger, the more I practised with it. But I didn't want to know all of the future. I wanted to use it sparingly and more importantly smartly. 

I wanted to create an Empire. For some reason that was something I wanted to do. But I knew that the amount of work it would take, was far too much for my tastes, at least for now. I wanted to be free for now and not focus too much on that yet. But I found a way to combine both things. 

I wouldn't create an Empire like the Mongols or the Romans, something like that was far too large and if I went with that, I much rather go all the way and unite Earth under my banner. But I wanted to be crafty and cunning in this world. I would start slow and maybe create a bigger Empire in my next world. 

I found a perfect middle ground. Control from the shadows. I would use one of my old friends' wisdom, which is constantly abused in modern media for this. Quote: 'Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak' 

The keyword here is deception. I would create a country for myself. I will choose where I want to have it, and then start manipulating and fighting for that land. In the future, this land will slowly become my country that I will rule in the open. But that won't be all. I will also control other countries in the shadows.

Unlike the wizards and witches of modern times, I am not an idiot. I can see the potential the non-magical humans have. Their greed and power lust, but also their laziness are all things that push them forward. I will make use of this and use it to my advantage. When I create my country, I will have the magical part and the non-magical part separate, just like the other countries.

But the government, which I will create, will know about the magical world and they will be connected to it. They will answer to me and only to me. I will have the non-magical side advance technologically, while the magical side will advance magically. And both of those things will happen under my watch. 

I will then find ways to combine these things. Imagine creating a magical water bomb, or jets which run on magic instead of gasoline and oil. And now imagine magical Astartes ... That will be truly glorious.

Concerning the other countries, I will be smart about this and act in the beginning. I will use the connections, which I have already created and build up a close relationship. Using wealth and magical power, I will rise to political power as well and take over important parts of the governing organisations in all parts of the world, making them essentially part of my Empire. 

I will do what Grindelwald wanted to do, but smartly and over the span of over 2000+ years. This will give me a lot of time and many wars to work with. When I fight in wars, I am entitled to the spoils of the war. And as an immortal and the most powerful wizard who has ever lived and will ever live, I will win all of my wars. This way, I will get hold of both lands, money and political influence.

I will research bloodlines and create some of my own. By tempering with the bloodline of the Khans, like Dschingis Khan, I will make all those who carry his blood, loyal to me. This might sound excessive, but if he messes with the bull, he will get the horns. 

If I ever have children, I already have full control over my bloodline. My children won't inherit any of my Essences, but they will inherit my magical abilities, to various degrees. They won't be as pure as mine, but they will still be very powerful in this world. I won't control my family, but unlike the Emperor did with Horus, I won't accept a 'Horus Heresy'. 

Another thing I will do is make sure that the native Americans, don't get the same treatment they did in my history. When the Europeans came and just took everything they could and then killed most of them. That won't happen. I will offer them a place in my home dimension and support them. That way I will gain another ally in America.

Another one of my ambitions is my wand. I found the best wand for me was with a Phoenix feather core or Thestral hair core. For the wood, I had the best results with Elder Wood. Yew was also good, but not as good, the same with Ebony. 

Ebony is highly suited to all manner of combative magic, and to Transfiguration. The Ebony wand's perfect match would hold fast to their beliefs, no matter what the external pressure, and would not be swayed lightly from their purpose.

Another wood that suited me, but not as good as both Yew and Ebony was Pine wood. Many wandmakers insisted that pine wands were able to detect, and perform best for, owners who were destined for long lives, which has to be true. The pine wand was one of those that were most sensitive to non-verbal magic, a skill I have long mastered.

Walnut also wasn't bad, but not as good as any of the others, just mentioned.

Now to create the wand which was best suited for me, I knew I had to use Elder wood and either Phoenix feather or the Thestral hair as a core. The Phoenix feather, specifically Ember's feather is a very powerful choice because I have a strong bond with Ember. Thestral hair on the other hand is also a good choice because I also have a rather close relationship to life and death. 

In the end, I decided to go with Ember's feather as the core. My Phoenix stood for everything I was as well. Life, death and rebirth are all things that I have a close connection to. And added to the fact, that Ember was seemingly growing more powerful over the years, I could assume that my wand would have similar properties. 

So I began to create the wand. Normally creating a wand didn't take me long anymore. I have created millions of wands over the centuries. But this wand was special. I asked Ember for a feather which she granted me. It was a special feather and I could still feel Ember's heat and magic inside it. 

Then I took a piece of the Elder tree, which had especially powerful magic inside it, I channelled my magic through the tree first and found the portion which had the most magic. It was only a very small difference but a difference nonetheless. After that, I went to work. 

I took my time. Even if I didn't need a wand, to use magic, it was still something I wanted, as it was special to me. Before I fused the core with the wood, I started a series of rune inscriptions and rituals.

For the ritual, I only added my blood, which I infused into both the wand wood and core. This was so that no one else would ever be able to use my wand unless he is of my own blood and I allow it. That probably will never happen though. 

The runes were some of my own creations. I had spent a long time on my travels, researching runes and making more powerful ones. I started to write the runes into the wood with my magic I created a knife out of my magic energy and then started my work. 

The first rune was the same as the one Odin put on Mjolnir. It was a loyalty rune. This allowed me to call for my wand, should it ever leave my hand and it will return to the hand I want it to. This might not be that useful yet, but I have plans for my wand and then, it will be very useful. 

The second rune allowed for an easier and more fluid flow of my magic energy through the wand. That would allow me to cast spells far quicker than others would, no matter the person. Allowing my energy to flow faster through the wand and core, will also create a constant cycle of the energy from my body through the wand and back, as long as I have it on me. This in turn will slowly boost both my and the wand's magical capacity.

The third rune was a rune which controlled the wand's density. As I said, I had plans for my wand and in the future, I might use it as the core for another weapon that I will use. The weapon I am thinking about is a sword. But a spear might also work. Reinhard Heinrich's spear to be exact.

The other runes were mainly as a defensive means. One is to keep the wand in the peak state and stop the wood from growing old and brittle. One to keep it clean, another one to protect it from spells such as 'Accio' and so on. After I was finished, I was truly happy and the colour of the wand had turned black.

With my new and powerful wand, I was ready to tackle the next challenge. I wanted to create a Dragon. That's right. Thanks to Herpo again, I found out everything he knew about the Basilisk and from that, I had a daring idea. An idea that would revolutionise the Wizarding World, if it was ever to be made public.

Studying the ideas and memories of Herpo, I came to understand that the Basilisk was basically a snake that failed to magically evolve into ... you guessed it, a dragon. There was a big flaw in the process that made the Basilisk into a snake and stopped it from being able to take the step, towards evolving into a dragon. 

But I knew the mistake and would change it. The one thing that you need to create or 'birth' a dragon ... is massive amounts of magic energy. So much in fact, that no one wizard could accomplish it. That is except me. I had enough energy to pull this off. And that's what I would do.

The process was similar to the way that a Basilisk was made. Similar but not the same. A Basilisk is born from a chicken's egg, hatched beneath a toad. I changed things and instead of a chicken's egg, I used a Phoenix egg. I asked Ember about this and my loyal companion provided me with an egg. Phoenix eggs did not need incubation in order to hatch; however, it sometimes took several years for one to hatch.

After that I didn't take a Toad, but a Frost Salamander. Why did I take a Frost Salamander? Because I didn't want my dragon to have any weaknesses. 

So I placed the Frost Salamander on top of Ember's egg and then fed the Frost Salamander a special variation of a Lily which I found in South America. This particular Lily has strong healing effects if used in positions and has a very powerful connection to nature as well. 

To finish this, I created runes on the ground and laid the egg, with the Frost Salamander on top and channelled my magic and intent into everything. The effects were rather intriguing. 

The Frost Salamander suddenly began to dissolve and turn into magic energy, which was then fed to the Phoenix egg. Together with my energy, the egg finally hatched. I could feel the protections I had put in place for this ritual, began to shake and the world witnessed the birth of a new creature. A new species of Dragons.
