True Inheritor (2)

George opened his eyes slowly, feeling like he woke up from a long slumber. His mind still needed a few seconds to work properly. He found himself curled like a baby, hugging his knees.

Everything around him was filled with a strange yellow energy that kept flowing inside his body, it was warm, like the embrace from his mother.

George couldn't move his body but his mind began sobering up when he recalled the past events...

'I had no chance...'

He recalled how the seven suns in the sky suddenly descended. It was like 7 golden Genkidamas falling down upon him. He tried everything to run away but he was merciless sandwiched between the seven suns. The last thing he remembered was being burned alive before passing out...

There was nothing he could do in his current state besides think. His skills were all being blocked by something or someone.

The feeling that something was wrong began to spread in him, he felt different than before. It was like a curtain had been lifted and he could think and feel clearer.

'Mom...Why? Why did I abandon her like that? Why was I thinking like that? All those negative thoughts...Why did I feel so much indifference for her?' Asked George himself after going through everything that led him to this situation.

He realized now how unusual and selfish his thoughts had become after entering the Gate of Beasts...

He could see it clearly now that something was wrong with him and he was horrified that he didn't notice his change of thoughts at all. He found it in fact reasonable at that time...

"You have realized it..." Echoed a neutral voice in front of him.

George was surprised, moving his eyes around to find the person who just spoke. But there was no one there, only the strange yellow energy...

"The reason why you escaped from her influence is because of the inheritance ritual, it purified your mind and body..." Explained the neutral voice.

George wasn't dumb, he began to put the pieces together, 'I understand now...I was being tested by whatever this thing is. It seems that I passed and now going through some kind of ritual...but...'

'What do you mean 'her'? Under whose influence was I?' Asked George in his mind, sure that whatever was talking to him could read his thoughts.

"First I thought that your sin was wraith, but it wasn't extreme enough and you needed to do what you could to to stay alive...Than I was pretty sure that it was greed because your whole race has a rather unhealthy weakness to it, but...only after I gave you my Primordial Sun Heart and became one with you, did I see what kind of sin has taken root inside you..." Said the voice, totally neutral.

George's eyes widened in shock...

"Humanity...an interesting race full of contradictions and sins, very complex. I have to admit that even I was fooled by the masks you created. It's not easy to come across a being like you that is filled with sloth to such extreme but manages to hide it so well..." Continued the voice intrigued now.

'...' George stayed silent.

"Depression It's called in your home world right? I have seen many beings have that, they lost all hope after experiencing tragic events, but you...you are not like them...you didn't lose hope and your ambition, you forsake it on your own accord. It doesn't make sense, someone like you who is clearly above the average from your races point of view, to do such a thing." Spoke the voice, a little irritated.

George's black eyes looked dull and empty while listening.

"And yet you created a mask that fooled everyone around you, your teachers, your friends, your brother and your mother. It contradicts the sin sloth to do such a thing, why even bother? Why waste all that energy for that? Such an extreme and at the same time complex form of sloth...It's no wonder the Sin Enticing Dragon chose you..." Said the voice which returned to its neutral sound.

George showed a reaction, 'It was really her, at that time when I found her...She used her [Eyes of Sin] on me...'

"Don't get me wrong, a Sin Enticing Dragon is without a doubt a dreadful creature, but it's a double edged sword that can either be your fortune or downfall. It is also partly because of your ignorance of not knowing what you were dealing with that you managed to arouse it's interest in you." Explained the voice.

George pondered about everything he heard to complete the picture in his mind, 'Who are you? What did you do to me?'

"I'm the remaining soul of Solaxio, a Sun Titan of the proud Star Race. We faced extinction, but managed to save our Primordial Sun Hearts to create this inheritance site. Our race might have vanished from Pangea but it isn't the end. You are now a hybrid between our races and some day, you might even be able to become a real Sun Titan...You have potential, enough to invest in you. We only have one task for you, go to the center of Pangea, to the Divine City Amores and find out who betrayed us, who was responsible for our extinction!" Said the voice emotionlessly.

'...'

"I know that you don't care, you are sloth after all but you will eventually go there. I saw into you when I became part of you, no one will ever know you like I do. You don't have any real ambition, to you growing stronger is a natural course and to lift your boredom and kill time..." Spoke the voice like it was a matter of fact while slowly growing weaker.

George frowned, he was uncomfortable that a strange entity knew so much about himsef.

"The ritual will soon end and I will truly die, please promise me..."

'I will look into it if I really get there.' Said George in his mind after a while.

"...Good enough for me. Thank you George Thomas King, first Sun Human and member of the proud Star Race." Said the voice much weaker now.

George felt that he was slowly gaining control over his body while the yellow energy surrounding him became thiner and thiner every second.

"I left you some things behind that only...you will...be able to use...farewell...son of the stars..." Spoke the neutral voice a last time, becoming a lingering whisper.

George absorbed the remaining yellow energy, feeling that he regained full control over his body.

He stretched his limbs, destroying the thin membrane around him.

He blinked a few times, noticing that he stood inside the throne room where now two thrones were left.

He frowned while looking at them, 'Weren't there 3 of them when I entered?'

Something called out to him, making him turn around where a golden ring was floating in the air.

"Interesting..." Said George as he grabbed the golden ring with a sun pattern on it. A new stream of information entered his mind.

What he didn't notice were the two figures sitting on the thrones. They and him were separated by space so he couldn't see them.

"Little brother Solaxio is gone now..." Mourned the blue humanoid figure.

"His death was unavoidable, just like ours when the day comes...a shame that we bet on the right person but missed out, you are more compatible with him than Solaxio..." Spoke the red humanoid figure sitting on the other throne.

The blue figure frowned deeply, "How am I more compatible with him? He is full of sloth, he is way too lazy and has no ambition. I'm the strongest Sun Titan, no way that I would fuse with such a person!"

A very rare smile appeared on the blurry face of the red figure, stunning the blue figure.

"You believe the same thing as Solaxio...While he might be smart, Solaxio was only 5 billion years old, way too young and inexperienced. Knowing everything about someone doesn't mean that you understand them, especially such a complex race as humanity."

The blue figure's blue torch-like eyes lit up, "Big brother...does that mean?"

"Sloth is nothing more than another mask he created to suppress the sin deeply rooted inside him. I understand why Solaxio came to the conclusion why it is his sin, little George here used it extremely well but only to protect himself and the people around him. Solaxio missed a very important point." Explained the red figure.

"Urgh what did we miss? I'm getting a headache big brother, why do humans have to be so complicated?"

The red figure laughed heartily, "Hahaha Azulxio, you have always been more brawn than brain. You both didn't include his childhood, he has always been above his peers. He kept it up even after meeting other talented people like himself, what does such superiority give birth to?"

The blue figure rubbed his chin, "Hmm..."

"Let me give you another hint, you two share it strongly."

"Arrogance..." Muttered the blue figure slowly.

"Hold up, doesn't that mean..." Spoke the blue figure in disbelief.

The red figure smiled again, "That's right, his real sin is..."
