"Congratulations my love," Damien said as he made his appearance from behind the crowd and my smile turned into a cheeky grin, firstly because of how cute and unexpected this is and secondly because of the cake in his hand, even if I want to be angry, I can't be, not when it made me realize how much I have missed cake and how hungry I am

"Thanks, darling," I said between small laughs and a red hot cheek "This is really sweet" I continued after rubbing my palms together and eyeing the cake in his hand which he passed onto someone else before I could reach my hand towards it

"I'm glad you like it, I'm sorry I wasn't by your side when you woke up," he said and I gave a small sigh before closing the gap between us, wanting to tell him to request a portion of the cake but shitting my mouth and saying what is needed of me
