1 Chapter 1: System Activation

It was the weekend, inside a dusty and old rental house. A noisy computer tower hummed, and the computer on the desk displayed the word "Pause" on the screen.

"Finally, it's here."

Li Feng rushed in, carrying a bucket of instant noodles, and sat down at the computer chair. He pressed the play button and started to slurp his noodles.

This was his favorite way to spend a weekend. As a new-century otaku, there was nothing more enjoyable for him than sitting in front of the computer on weekends, eating instant noodles and sipping a soda while watching movies.

Of course, he didn't have much of a choice. If he had a girlfriend, who wouldn't want to spend a leisurely weekend doing intimate things with her?

Li Feng wasn't bad looking. He was tall, fair-skinned, and quite handsome. It's just that his personality was a bit direct, and he wasn't very good at talking.

Now, Li Feng was watching a movie on his computer, a bootleg copy of the South Korean film "Train to Busan." Despite the lack of an official release in his country, some movie enthusiasts had uploaded it online for everyone to watch.

"Train to Busan" was set on a KTX train traveling from Seoul to Busan. The protagonist, Seok-woo, had been too busy with work to spend time with his daughter, Su-an. However, when Su-an decided to visit her mother in Busan, Seok-woo reluctantly accompanied her on the journey.

What they didn't expect was that after the train departed, a young woman infected with a zombie virus caused chaos and panic on the train, rapidly spreading the infection.

This zombie virus had unique characteristics. Once infected, a person's eyes would turn white, and they would become aggressive, similar to rabies. The infection spread rapidly, but the infected people were blind in the dark or when their eyes were covered.

It was a suspenseful and thrilling movie, and Li Feng was so engrossed in it that he even forgot about his instant noodles. He was both excited and a little nauseous.

As he watched, the noodles on his desk had gone cold. He hesitated for a moment before deciding, "Never mind, I'll skip the noodles."

With that, he turned towards his computer screen, but an unexpected incident occurred. Accidentally, he knocked the noodles onto the keyboard, spilling the broth all over.

"Damn it!"

The situation happened so quickly that all he could manage was a muttered expletive. In his haste, he reached for the keyboard, but something unexpected occurred.

An intense electric current surged into his mind, and his brain instinctively initiated a defense mechanism. "Electric shock! There's electricity here!"

This was the last thought that flashed through Li Feng's mind before he lost consciousness.

After an indeterminate amount of time, Li Feng, who had been lying on the floor, moved his fingers. Slowly, he opened his eyes, propped himself up, and sat on the bed. He couldn't help but shiver with fear.

"Damn, it seems I can't buy cheap stuff on 'Pinduoduo' anymore. This time, I was lucky; next time, who knows?"

While mumbling to himself, something unexpected happened.

A mechanical voice suddenly appeared in his mind.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host. The Infinite Movie System has been bound, and system activation is in progress.]

"System? Binding?"

Li Feng was bewildered, unable to comprehend what had just happened. As a typical otaku, he should have known about systems; they were standard equipment for becoming rich and marrying beautiful women. However, he never expected it to happen to him.

"Heh, it seems that being shocked by electricity isn't such a bad thing."

While feeling thrilled, he realized that he needed more information, so he promptly asked, "System, what are your functions? Can you introduce yourself?"

In response to his question, the voice of the system appeared in his mind.

[This system is called the Infinite Movie System, which can lead the host to cross into different movie worlds. As long as the host completes the missions given by the system, corresponding rewards will be obtained.]

"Great! That sounds fantastic!"

Upon hearing the mention of rewards, Li Feng couldn't help but feel excited. After all, a system's product was nothing to be taken lightly; it wasn't a mere game.

Also, since he was familiar with the plots of all the movies, completing missions would be a walk in the park.

It seemed like he guessed what Li Feng was thinking, and the voice of the system appeared in his mind.

"Oh, I see.

That's alright, then."

Hearing the system's response, Li Feng reluctantly agreed. In his view, as long as the system didn't take away his newbies' gift pack, everything would be fine!
