Chapter 151: Minions

"Wow!"

A burst of noise filled the Great Hall as everyone wondered why Arthur said that.

One of the old judges on the panel got upset.

"Mr. Gaunt, do you know what you're saying? Just creating a humanoid prop doesn't make it an alchemical being."

In the magical world, the concept of Alchemical Beings or Creatures had existed for a long time, but no one had actually succeeded in creating them.

It was a simple way to determine—a true alchemical being possessed thoughts, the ability to think and evolve, rather than being set according to the creator's design.

Arthur knew that someone would question him, so he wasn't shocked at all.

"Sir, you can try having a conversation with Kevin, say anything you like."

When the old man lowered his anger, he walked to the center to talk to Kevin. He talked about different things on purpose so that he wouldn't be forced to follow a script.

Soon, he realized that Kevin didn't know many of the things he mentioned, but he could learn and remember what he was saying.

After finishing the interaction with Kevin, the old man looked at Arthur with eager eyes.

"Mr. Gaunt, how did you do this? I can now confirm that he is indeed an alchemical being."

The elder used a respectful form of address for Arthur and called Kevin a 'he.'

"I'm sorry, but I don't plan to share the details of this process. Bringing Kevin here today was just to announce his existence to the world,"

Arthur replied without revealing his methods. He didn't know these people, so he wouldn't tell them about his core technology.

The old man realized that he had been too impulsive and had spoken without thinking.

"Apologies, Mr. Gaunt. My name is Harriman John. If you ever come to the United States, please feel free to contact me. Let me extend my hospitality."

After revealing his name, the old man provided his contact information to Arthur.

He was sure Arthur would be the next Nicolas Flamel in the wizarding world, and building a good relationship with him was the best opportunity.

The other judges had grown impatient. A short-tempered, stout wizard pushed Harriman aside and approached Kevin.

Others also crowded around, pushing Hariman and Arthur to the side.

Soon, everyone confirmed Kevin's identity and looked at Arthur in disbelief.

Alchemy had been developing for nearly a thousand years, and the existence of alchemical beings had always been a controversial topic.

Unexpectedly, it was solved by a student today.

One of the judges eagerly asked Arthur, "Mr. Gaunt, could you provide a detailed introduction of his capabilities?"

Arthur nodded, which was what he was going to do, but a group of old guys interrupted him.

"At the beginning of the process, I just wanted to make an assistant that could help me with experiments and daily tasks."

"So Kevin's main task is to be a laboratory assistant. He knows how to make more than 30 potions and has the skills to do some alchemical work. He also knows a lot about spells that are often used around the house."

"Recently, I have also upgraded and modified Kevin. He now has some combat abilities. Most importantly, he can apparate and appear in front of wizards to block deadly blows during critical moments."

After Arthur explained Kevin's capabilities, everyone's eyes turned green with envy.

This wasn't just an alchemical being—it was an enhanced version of a house-elf.

The group of judges was amazed. At first, they thought it would be pretty amazing if Kevin could just talk and learn like everyone else.

Unexpectedly, Arthur had already trained Kevin to such a high level.

Arthur smiled faintly, "Due to time restrictions, I can't show Kevin's potion-making or alchemy skills, but there won't be a problem with the combat test."

"But today, I didn't bring an assistant. I wonder which gentleman would be willing to help me."

Arthur did this to add fuel to the fire.

When Nicolas informed him that this summit was promotional, Arthur decided to sell a batch of alchemical beings to collect funds.

After all, researching how to turn Muggles into wizards would certainly require a lot of resources.

It seemed like a good idea to exchange some weaker alchemical beings for a lot of money.

Many people in the audience wanted to try it, and many wanted to come forward and try it.

At this moment, one person responded to Arthur first.

"I'll do it!"

This person was Becky Dogan.

At this moment, Becky was not happy.

He had planned to find a flaw in Arthur, but Arthur surprised him by throwing out the bomb of alchemical beings.

This made his plan pointless.

It just so happened that Arthur wanted someone to participate in a duel test, and Becky saw an opportunity for himself.

Such a precious thing—if he damaged it, Arthur would surely be heartbroken for quite a while, right?

Becky was pretty confident in his own abilities.

Although he hadn't made much progress in alchemy research in recent years, he was definitely at the level of an elite wizard.

With wicked thoughts in mind, Becky walked to the display area and pretended to smile at Arthur.

"Mr. Gaunt, I hope you don't mind if I act as your assistant for this."

Arthur just shrugged. He had seen through Becky's little plan for a long time, but he didn't say it. Kevin wasn't that easy to deal with.

Seeing Arthur's agreement, Becky felt a surge of joy. He quickly moved towards Kevin.

Arthur and the others moved aside, leaving the space for them.

Kevin also knew that Becky was his opponent and glared fiercely at him. However, with his cute face, it didn't have much of an intimidating effect.

"The duel begins!"

One of the judges acted as the referee and announced the start of the duel.

"Reducto!"

Beck quickly pulled out his wand and a red, thumb-thick blasting spell shot toward Kevin.

The audience let out a loud gasp. They hadn't expected Becky to use such a powerful Reductor Curse.

Wasn't he going to destroy Arthur's creation?

While everyone worried about Kevin, he remained calm. A Shield Charm was instantly cast, blocking Becky's attack.

Then, Kevin's eyes flashed a red glow in his eyes.

Two magic shots shot out of his eye sockets.

One was a Disarming Charm that directly knocked Becky's wand away, and the other was a Reductor Curse that directly hit him.

Unfortunately, Beck had a protective item on him, which absorbed most of the spell's power at the critical moment.

Even so, his entire body was sent flying and crashed heavily onto the floor.

"Ula!"

The Minion's roar echoed throughout the entire hall.

The rest of the people fell into silence...
