14 Chapter 14: Return

At this moment, Arthur's scalp was numb.

'It was already this late, and they still had time to fool around?'

The three-headed dog wasn't picky, which was good. When it heard the song, it stopped fighting and slowly lay down on the ground.

Arthur motioned to the twins with his eyes, and they slowly backed out of the door, then closed it gently, and then used a spell to lock it.

He let out a sigh of relief.

Arthur was taken aback when he turned around and saw the twins looking at him.

The twins exchanged a glance and quickly placed their arms on Arthur's shoulders.

"Dear Master Gaunt, thank you, I'm Fred, and this is my brother, George," one of them said.

"Stupid Fred, I'm the older brother," the other quickly retorted.

Arthur's lips twitched at their way of calling him.

'What kind of name is that, and calling me Master Gaunt?'

Seeing the two teasing him like this, Arthur didn't back down.

"Master Weasley's, I was sent here by Headmaster Dumbledore specifically to protect you. You can call me the Guardian," he said seriously.

Seeing Arthur's seriousness, Fred and George seemed to be taken aback.

"Did the headmaster really send you? Did he see us on our night pranks?" Fred couldn't help but ask.

George was also a little nervous. They may have been playful, but they still had some fear of the headmaster.

"Of course not. I'm out here on my own tonight," Arthur rolled his eyes angrily and then explained to them.

"So the noise just now was caused by you" The twins spoke at the same time after listening.

"I was just reading in the library for a while, and you led Filch over the library," Arthur didn't refute.

"Why couldn't we see you earlier? Was it a spell?" George was curious about the magic that Arthur had used to appear suddenly.

If they learned it, they would be completely fearless of Filch and his cat.

"That's the Disillusionment Charm. If you want to learn it, you'll have to go to the Forbidden Section. I learned it by coincidence."

Arthur didn't hide anything, and he had a good impression of the two troublemakers. If possible, he wanted to use them to get his hands on the Marauder's Map from the twins and study it.

George and Fred exchanged a glance, both seeing the excitement in each other's eyes.

As for the Forbidden Section? It was no problem at all for the twins.

Arthur stretched lazily and followed the twins around for a while, but it was getting late, and he needed to rest.

"Alright, I'm going back to rest. If you two Weasley don't need anything else, I'll be off," Arthur continued with his usual angry tone.

George and Fred weren't offended at all, instead, they showed big smiles. This friend was someone they could have fun with.

"You should really come to Gryffindor, Master Gaunt," George gave a thumbs-up. Arthur was just their type of enjoyable person, much more than their own brother Ron.

Arthur waved goodbye to them and left without saying much. As for where the twins went, Arthur had no idea. But he could be sure that they weren't heading towards the Gryffindor common room.

Arriving at the entrance of the Ravenclaw common room, Arthur gently touched the bronze eagle door knocker, and it simply came to life.

"Two pairs of fathers and sons went to buy hats, but why did they only buy three hats?"

"Because it was three generations, grandfathers, fathers, and sons."

He entered the common room smoothly and looked up, only to freeze in place. A girl was standing next to the entrance to the girls' hall, staring blankly at him.

"Cho?"

"Arthur?"

The two spoke at the same time, and Arthur quickly asked, "What are you doing here?"

"I came to get this Quidditch training manual," Cho replied, sleepy to Arthur's question, then realized that her question was probably more serious.

"Why did you come back so late? What have you been doing?" When Cho asked him about what happened tonight, Arthur didn't want to keep anything from her, so he told her everything.

This included why he sneaked out, how he met the twins, and even what happened on the fourth-floor hall. When he mentioned how he tricked Fred and George, Cho laughed uncontrollably.

But when she heard about the three-headed dog, Cho's face became worried, only relaxing when she heard about the dog's weakness, then becoming excited.

"Wow, Arthur, you've only been at school for two days, and you've already sneaked in a night. I've been here for over a year and haven't even tried it yet. Next time there's something fun like this, you have to tell me."

When Arthur saw how happy Cho was, he couldn't help but think, "Wow." He never thought that Cho, who seemed gentle and kind, would be so wild inside

But then again, as a future seeker for Ravenclaw, she must have the genes to pursue excitement and thrills.

Arthur smiled and said, "No problem," as he rubbed Cho's head. "I'll let you know the next time I find something fun. But not right now. Even though I go out every night, it's just to study, which is pretty boring."

Feeling the warmth on her head, Cho smiled sweetly and agreed to Arthur's plan. The two of them chatted for a while before going back to sleep.

...

Early the next morning, Arthur joined the other Ravenclaw wizards and went to the underground for Potions class.

Along the way, they met some Gryffindor who was also headed there. Arthur greeted Harry and exchanged a few words, but then his classmates pulled him away.

Perhaps due to Arthur's appearance, a butterfly effect was triggered, and the number of Hufflepuffs in this year's class were strangely high, almost equal to the sum of the other three houses.

Therefore, the school decided that from this year on, Hufflepuffs would have separate classes while the other three houses would have classes together. So this class not only had Gryffindors, but Slytherins were also there.

Remembering that he hadn't signed in yet today, Arthur silently said to the system in his mind,

"System, sign-in."

"Ding, congratulations, host, you have obtained a piece of Potions knowledge (purple)."

Arthur raised his eyebrows. With the knowledge he had gained previously and this new one, he was now at the same level as an excellent fourth-year student in Potions.

After slapping Professor Snape in the face at the Sorting Ceremony, he knew that Professor Snape would try to get back at him in Potions class.

Just as he was worrying that his Potions skills might not be enough, the system sent him a gift.

'System, I love you' Arthur thought to himself.
