133 Chapter 133: Last Day For The Semester

As June arrived, the final exams approached at Hogwarts.

Arthur remembered that in the original story, Professor Dumbledore had canceled the final exams due to the influence of the Basilisk and the Chamber of Secrets.

But Arthur had already resolved the Chamber of Secrets issue long ago, so there was no reason to cancel the exams.

He believed that once everyone knew the truth, they would be grateful to him.

The weather in June was hot, and on the day of the Transfiguration exam, the young wizards sat in the classroom feeling like they were inside a large oven.

Arthur secretly cast a Charm on himself and Hermione, instantly making them feel much cooler.

All had parchment, ink and a new quill on their desks.

The quills were especially enchanted by the professors with Anti-Cheating Spells, but they had no effect on Arthur.

Just yesterday, Professor Flitwick had called him alone the day before and asked for his help with an Anti-Cheating Spell.

Although Arthur didn't leave any loopholes, the magic attached to the quills was too weak and easily countered by his Confundus Charm, temporarily blocking its effects.

In less than half an hour, Arthur had perfectly filled his papers with all the answers.

The watcher, Professor McGonagall, didn't even see what he was doing. That's the treatment given to extremely talented people.

Unfortunately, Arthur rested his head on his desk, bored, because he couldn't turn in the exam early because of the rules.

He watched the other students instead.

Sitting in front of him on the right, Neville was scratching his head in frustration and hadn't written more than a few words.

Most of the other young wizards had troubled expressions. Professor McGonagall had indeed set a difficult exam this time.

Arthur suddenly saw two people like him lying on the table.

Looking around, he took a closer look. It turned out to be two of Draco's former friends, Crabbe and Goyle.

Arthur realized that Malfoy had stopped playing with these two idiots a long time ago.

He could no longer take their stupidity, especially now that Arthur was with him.

What use were Crabbe and Goyle?

These two were known for being stupid at Hogwarts. Many people made fun of them for being strong but not smart.

Their eyes were wandering, not because they had finished the test but because they didn't know the answers.

As expected, Professor McGonagall noticed their behavior and approached them disappointedly.

They quickly straightened up when they got the glance.

After the exam, Hermione anxiously pulled Arthur aside to compare answers.

Arthur hadn't even looked at his own paper, so he casually dealt with the young witch.

In the afternoon, they had a practical exam.

Professor McGonagall had originally planned to test their ability to turn a pineapple into an umbrella.

But when Arthur walked into the classroom, she changed the exam.

"Gaunt, try Mass Transfiguration. Your props will be all the desks and chairs in the classroom."

Professor McGonagall evidently had high hopes for Arthur, because she wouldn't have given him such a hard test if she didn't.

Arthur nodded, took out his wand, and waved it across the tables and chairs at the back of the classroom.

Instantly, the entire room transformed into a zoo with cows, pigs, sheep, monkeys, and even some flying birds, all appearing under Arthur's transfiguration.

Professor McGonagall was extremely satisfied and marked his grade with an 'O,' the highest grade.

The next day's Charms exam was also simple.

Professor Flitwick had already prepared Arthur's grade as soon as he entered the room.

They discussed some applications of spell techniques and finished quickly.

The interesting exam was the potion Exam. The task was to brew a basic cure for boils within an hour.

However, Professor Snape's appearance made the test harder.

When he looked coldly at a student, it put a lot of pressure on them.

Especially for Neville and Seamus, Professor Snape stood behind them, constantly writing something on paper with a quill, making them feel uneasy.

The Defense Against the Dark Arts exam was canceled.

Lockhart, to avoid Voldemort's curse, had slipped away a week before the exam.

He said he had to go overseas to sign books, so he couldn't stay with everyone else until the end.

He had already assigned grades to the young wizards based on their regular classroom performance.

Finally, when Professor Binns collected the papers, cheers erupted in the classroom.

With exams over, the young wizards could enjoy a carefree week without worrying about exams or homework.

They would only receive their report cards when they left the school.

Some young wizards picked up their broomsticks and flew over Hogwarts.

Some sat by the Black Lake with their lunch, quietly enjoying the summer sun.

Arthur went to the Forbidden Forest, taking Celestia with him. Then he secretly went to Hogsmeade with Cho and Hermione.

Hermione couldn't resist her curiosity and agreed to Arthur's suggestion to sneak out using a Disillusionment Charm.

The three of them had a wild day in Hogsmeade and didn't return to school until the evening.

On the last day of the school year, Dumbledore gave a speech during the final assembly.

"What a wonderful year it has been. This semester, we have experienced a lot, and most importantly, we had a reasonably talented Defense Against the Dark Arts professor."

After saying that, he cheekily winked, and the audience laughed.

To be honest, although Lockhart seemed like a clown at the beginning of the year, his lectures turned out to be quite good.

"But,"

Dumbledore's tone changed: "There are still many things we don't know about the future. Maybe darkness will come again. Always remember that Hogwarts will always be your home."

The young wizards listened with a bit of confusion, but they still applauded him warmly.

Only Arthur understood that Dumbledore was preparing them for Voldemort's return.

The next day, all the young wizards boarded the Hogwarts Express.

Arthur and his friends occupied a compartment, and Harry spent the entire journey casting spells non-stop.

It was his last few hours to use magic before he had to live as a Muggle for over two months when he returned to the Dursleys' home.
