35 Chapter 35 : Forest Of Death 3

Power was flowing through Orion's magical circuit. He took a deep breath after fully assimilating the newfound power added to his reservoir.

"This feels like Christmas," Orion had a big cute smile on his face, and he quickly asked Merlin, "How much, compared to a normal first year, how much my magic has caught up?" Orion quickly asked. He even forgot to talk in his mind and asked it out loud, forgetting for a second that he was in a deadly forest in his excitement.

"Hmm, It's hard to say just by looking but I will say almost near a normal first-year student, About 70% to 80%," Merlin gave his honest thought which sent Orion to another around of victory dance, but that didn't last long as he then looked down on the now dead Unicorn and his smile faltered.

"Don't think too much about it, you can save others in the future if you have power," Merlin sensed Orion's thought and said, the problem was that for someone like Orion who has excellent magical sense, thanks to his daily Integration Practice, he has developed keen senses for magic, he can feel the sadness on the dead of a pure creature like a Unicorn.

Orion too just nodded at this and got up, looking around he was ready to move out but at this time he heard Rose and Hermione's voice.

'Scream,' Orion heart sank, he greeted his teeth. He remembered that that shadow was not moving towards Rose or Hermione, and without a seconds delay, he launched off towards the girls.

Orion was fast, not only did he have an excellent physique and speed but thanks to absorbing a Unicorn now, he also had some of his traits too. 

So he rushed towards the girls with unmatching speed, the movement he arrived he saw two girls screaming after seeing a spider which was the size of a cat. Both comically were backing off from the advancing spider, totally forgetting that they were witches and could use magic.

"Sigh," Orion just took out his wand and without calling out a spell made the spider float, this time though it was much easier.

Rose and Hermione were confused like no one else, they found themselves circling a tree for 20 minutes straight, what happened? They had no idea but seeing that Orion was not there, both girls got worried and went around searching for him.

When they encounter this cat-sized spider, fun fact Ron is not the only one scared in the golden trio, in fact, all three of them are afraid of the spiders. Maybe in canon that was not the case as Harry was not afraid but Rose here is afraid of them.

Just when the spider was about to jump on them, it started floating mid-air, both the girls were confused when they heard the familiar voice, "I was looking for you two, where were you ?" Orion said still holding his wand and making the spider float, not letting it move.

Both girls got up and immediately rushed towards Orion, getting close, finally feeling a little safe, or maybe it was just away from that disgusting spider.

"We are not sure, we just... we got lost," Rose said and Hermione supported her friend's struggle to explain their situation to the boy they liked, 

The boy they liked.... ? One minute what? No no that ... no she means like as a friend, Of course, Hermione is the smartest to observe something.

Rose was holding Orion's hand while talking to him. She blinked, without even thinking much as her body worked on autopilot, she came between them, taking both of their hands into her, breaking their contact and dragging her.

"Come on, we better get out of here," Hermione said without looking at both of them. 

Orion and Rose too just agreed and followed Hermione. Merlin on the side had a faint smile on his face. "Seems like I won't be much bored in the future if this drama unfolds. But as his teacher, I should also help in making his love life a little more chaotic, after all, where will this old man get this level of entertainment and blackmail material?" Merlin said a devilish smile on his face, making him look like a perverted uncle from an anime.

After regrouping with others all of them return back to the castle, but not before Rose gets a personal message from a Centaur. Because without that the story will not progress right...

Upon returning, all four Gryffindors went to their dorms together, Ron was so tired and scared but he won't accept so don't mention it, that he ended up directly falling asleep.

Orion and the girls on the other hand had a little awkward moment, Orion was not planning to go to his dorms, the girl on the other hand wanted to say something but even they were not sure what.

They just didn't want to end the day like this. It will be much later that they will realise why they felt like this.

But our Gigachad didn't even care, he isn't into Loli's.

Nick was having a bad day, he wasted his entire Christmas, not like he remembered the last time he had a happy Christmas, searching for a way to remove Dumbledore's ward.

Thanks to Elder Wand he has the power to destroy the ward but then Dumbledore will learn about it. He is not even as strong a Hogwarts Passout. He can't face Dumbledore, Elder Wand or not. 

He vowed to kill him, but he needed more strength for that, not to mention. To release his frustration he went out of the castle, but he had a feeling that someone was trailing him.

No, it's like three people are trailing him. He suspects that one of these people is Snape, but not sure about the rest two.

Today the person he sensed was different from Snape or that other person, but it was not new, he felt a familiar feeling, like he had been through this before, he couldn't help but think about the start the the year, on the very first night in Hogwarts, when he was going towards the Room Of Requirement. He felt this presence then.

Nick just internally grew and hid away the Elder's wand before entering the Hogwarts Castle.
