33 Chapter 33 : Forest Of Death 1

Throughout Christmas time, Orion worked pretty hard on his self-made broom.

By the end of the Christmas break, Orion was almost done with a prototype. When it comes to the core of the broom, he just borrows a magical snake's tongue from Hagrid. 

And it worked, the runic array he created accepted the magical core. 

Now the different magical cores will produce different results but that all can be handled when he starts the business. 

He was just happy that he had created his broom and completed Merlin's task, he himself learned a lot about ancient magic and runes during the production of this broom. 

Now he just needed to find someone to test the broom out, his magic was still not enough to use the broom properly, once the broom passed that last test he was actually going ahead and thinking about creating a business out of it.

Orion was contained by his progress and was about to go back to his dorm when he suddenly heard a voice from his back.

"Orion!" He turn back to see Hermione, Rose and Ron running towards him with worries in their eyes. Their movement was fast which gave Orion a sense of urgency in their behaviour.

"What's going on, why you guys are not going back to the dorms, it's already pretty late, the curfew will start very soon," Orion asked trying to figure out what put them in so much hurry.

"Come with us," Rose almost grabbed him and pulled, startling him but he could easily resist, he was thinking about resisting, considering that time and them being the golden trio who is famous for breaking rules, but then Hermione also grabbed him, he just accepted his fate and just followed.

To Orion's surprise, he found himself in front of Hagrid's home, no idea what they were doing there but he was planning on visiting Hagrid to thank him for providing him with a Magical Snake Tongue as a core for his broom so he went along with it anyways.

But when they went inside, they found that Hagrid was hiding a dragon egg there. Orion was deadpan at this, somehow the story corrected itself and brought back to this point, maybe the only difference was that he was here with the golden trio and Harry was a girl. 

While the golden trio was talking with Hagrid, Orion used his mind Palace to resurface all the memories he had about the first Harry Potter movie and remember what could possibly happen after this.

He also noticed the Dragon Egg, he was thinking of absorbing the magical power. But then frown, thinking how he might kill the dragon before it can even be born, signing he was about to enter into the conversation and ask his friends to go back now, but just like in the cannon, a certain shithead ended up spotting them in Hagrid's Hut.

"Malfoy," Ron said the name like a curse, Hermione and Rose hadn't heard from Malfoy after Orion last time completely frightened him. 

Orion on the sideline just signed, when he was called by Professor McGonagall he was just standing there with eyes like Saitama like he didn't even care about what going on.

"All 5 of you will serve detention," Professor McGonagall said, even pointing at Malfoy that he is no exception.

Orion didn't want to say but even he felt this plot being forced on him by the author. 'If you want to send me to the forbidden Forest then at least find an original reason, man,'

And that's how all five of them ended up coming back to Hagrid's hut to serve detention under him.

"I can't believe that I have to do this," Draco bitch more and more, while others were getting tired of him, as all of them enter the forest of death, Hagrid decided to slip into two teams to find a death or soon to be death Unicorn. Orion didn't even bother to act like he was paying attention, he knew what was happening.

"Alright Rose, Hermione, Orion and Fang you are one team and I, Malfoy and Ron will be on one team," Hagrid said and I mean why not, people want to see the chemistry between the two girls and our dear MC than constant bitching of Malfoy right.

[Sorry I didn't want to put much time into things which are already canon, at least not in the first year, they will not serve much. And thus I rushed through the entire thing,]

And so Orion was here, getting sandwiched by two girls and followed by a dog in a freaking jungle (which is magical and very dangerous by the way) in the middle of the night.

"Hmm, I am not sure that splitting up was such a good plan," Hermione a little frightened couldn't help but say after hearing scary voices coming from the forest around her, she unconsciously got a little closer to Orion, the reluctance of going any further was clear on her face. 

She at least felt a little safer remembering how Orion saved her from Malfoy and even the Troll. Especially the Troll. That one was awesome and even she had to agree to that.

Unknown to her, there was a little blush on her face, (Do you see where I am going with this)

Rose on the other hand (Literally almost holding Orion's other hand, aka getting sandwich) was also reminiscing not about the dangerous forest or the poor Unicorn that they needed to save but the boy beside her and and what she saw in the Mirror.

But our Mc like a gigachad, was not even paying attention to the two girls beside him, the only thing right now on his mind was the opportunity he had to absorb a magical beast in the forest.

After all, Tities and Butts are temporary, while the Grind is eternal, but joking aside, he was really planning to find some magical animals to absorb and get strong fast, he was sick and tired of being that weak character who was almost hospitalized because he tried to make a feather float.

While getting inside the forest, Orion who had much better senses, sensed a magical disturbance happening, he narrowed his eyes. 

'Salvio Hexia,' Orion instantly recognized what kind of spell he was feeling. While he didn't have magic, he was working on his other aspects like detection and knowledge about magic itself.

[A form of magical defence, Salvio Hexia is a protective spell that is used to shield an area or an object from hexes or jinxes and even make people invisible if movies are to be believed.] For those who don't know.

"I say that we should check it out," Merlin replied and Orion too nodded a little. But what the hell is he supposed to do with these two girls and that dog? He has a soft spot for dogs and can't exclude him from his, 'I should protect them list.'

He after pondering much decided to make them hide here, that much better to bring them with him in that possibly dangerous situation.

He glanced at them, their eyes meeting and instantly an incredibly advanced mental prompt was sent to their minds, while not having any other magic thanks to his particular condition, he mostly spent his time on training and absorbing magic from the environment and religiously trained in the mind arts.

He is right now, thanks to his insane talents which will reveal themself as he gets a little more magically capable and thanks to Merlin, one of the best, if not the best mind art user out there. What others have is not even close to what Merlin has taught him about the mind arts? Shame that he can't use this on Malfoy because he is still wearing the heir's ring which gave him an artificial occulumency shield and Orion doesn't have strong enough enough magic to break those shields. 

Anyways, after putting them into an illusion that they were following a straight path, but in reality they were rotating in a circle, in an area where they are most likely to be safe.

Orion finally rushes towards that magical barrier, wanting to know what the hell is going on there.

The story will once again gain speed from here and the first year will be ending soon. Even I am tired of how weak he is now. Thus let our boy through a first-year crash course and end this year early.
