31 Chapter 31 : Rose And The Mirror Of Erised 2

Devil's Tongue is a magical technique which simulates the emotions of the target and imposes the caster's emotions on them. Merlin originally taught this technique to Orion so that he has a way to get out of the troublesome situation by scaring those snort not kids, Orion too only thought that it is useful for intimidating a target, but that was clearly not the case here.

Rose suddenly heard Orion's whisper, although was a little shaken there was clear excitement inside her, blood started to rush onto her face while an unknown feeling started occupying her body, this feeling was not pain or fear as she was most aware of this feeling, and this feeling was not happiness either. It was a strange rush inside her which made her body warm and her anticipation about what was next to come skyrocketed.

Orion was baffled by the strange reaction he got from Rose, as the girl was panting a little suddenly while holding onto her skirt, not even looking back at him. To at least figure out who sneaks up to her.

But after a little prompt to a lesson from Merlin about the Devil's Tongue, he realized what happened here. He just projected his excitement and intimate feeling onto Rose with this magic. 

'This magic is much more dangerous than I expected, talk a little more and I might get all the girls in the school to share a bed with me by the end of the month,' Orion muttered to himself but there was a blush on his face like he was doubting himself now, that he won't actually do that in reality.

"If you want to then sure, I already lost my V card when I was 13, and we are talking about a time when women only used to spread their legs for their husbands by the religion, let alone a 13-year-old," Merlin almost sounded smug about it.

'Damn, was I the only one who never got any action,' Orion seriously questioned his life at this point but then sighed. Taking out a wand, he cast a refreshing charm on Rose, this charm was his own creation, and just like the name it could refresh a person, he created it so could study more for longer hours, Of course, there is a limit of this spell and it doesn't work if the target is really too tired but he did break out Rose from her Daze.

"Orion, what are you doing here," Rose asked in surprise the moment she came out of her daze, immediately picking up the dropped book and hiding it away, Orion just smiled at the cute reaction, it was pretty cute her acting all flustered and all.

"Well, Ms Potter I can ask you the same question," Orion narrowed his eyes on the book in her hands and gave a knowing smile which made Rose more conscious.

"Come on we better get going, it will be troublesome if someone finds us here," Orion said and motioned her to move, she hesitated as she still had yet to learn about Nicolas Flamel but seeing Orion waiting, not to mention the strange emotion she had just now after hearing his voice, she just followed him,".

"Nicolas Flamel is an Alchemist and creator of the only known Phillosopher's stone." In there way, Orion ended up answering all of Rose's questions and even told her about Nicolas Flamel.

Rose's eyes widen after getting the entire picture, Orion could practically feel the motor inside her head moving and coming to a conclusion about the stone and the hidden thing in the basement. But she didn't tell Orion, maybe because it was not the right time or she wanted to talk about this to Hermione first.

Orion too didn't ask much, actually, he was leading her to the Mirror of Erised, he needed her to be with him considering that a certain lord of light might be keeping tabs on the mirror.

"What is that," Rose, who was struggling to decide whether just to disclose their entire business with the stone and Nicolas Flamel or first talk about this to Hermione, after watching the mirror in hesitation and nervousness spoke to break the silence.

"It's a really handy thing which we can use to see our image and beautiful girls like you like to dress up in front of it. We call it a mirror," Orion didn't hold back a bit of teasing.

Rose groan internally, acting like an idiot all of a sudden but she backtracked and recalled his words. 'Beautiful' was the word where she stopped her mind, she had no idea why she was feeling like this all of a sudden towards Orion but there were butterflies in her stomach (A very prominent literature saying which I can't understand but am using it here anyways).

"Stay sharp, dumbledore is hiding in the dark," while Orion was having a great time teasing Rose, he heard Merlin and immediately activated his mind shields to suppress his emotions and hide away all the important memories.

Rose seeing that Orion was not teasing her anymore finally could stop blushing and to change the subject, went in front of the mirror to look at herself.

But she didn't just see herself, there were her parents there with her. Her eyes couldn't help but widen and her entire demeanour changed. Orion noticed that and waited for Rose to reboot.

"These are my parents," Rose said with a shaky voice while slightly touching the mirror. This was the time when Orion came forward and tentatively grabbed her stretched hand and said.

"I show not your face, but your heart's desire," Orion said with a loud voice to bring back Rose from her daze, she stared at the mirror with a little longing and then shifted her watery eyes towards Orion who was still holding her hands.

But just before she shifted her eyes from the Mirror, she noticed the reflection changing, she didn't have time to examine it fully but she knew that it had changed after Orion held her hand and she also noticed that it was her, her all grown up and beside her.... beside her.

"Meaning what we see in this mirror is not real, but what we want in our deepest desires," Orion said while sending a smile towards Rose already knowing that she was longing for her parents.

But unknown to him or dumble-stalker-door, what she was seeing now was not her parents at all, and she was not planning to tell what she saw to anyone anytime soon. Orion then felt a little pressure on his hand, noticing that Rose was holding down his hand with a little more force. 

'Well she is still a small girl after all, lonely and alone, I was not much better when I was her age back then,' Orion felt a little bad for her.

"What do you see," Rose asked wanting to change the attention from her as soon as possible, She couldn't see herself in the mirror like she was right now but she knew that he had a blush on her face which she desperately wanted to hide.

"I," Orion replied looking at the mirror, almost keeping in mind that Dumbledore was watching him.

"I see Darkness," Orion said with a serious face.

A/N: What Darkness? I hope he is not talking about the future of this fic considering how little stones I am getting.
