153 Chapter 153 : Dementors 1
As time went on, Orion finally got some time to nap, which required answering a bunch of questions from both excited girls.
After casting a simple magic to alert him if something dangerous happened, he fell asleep. There was still some time before they reached Hogwarts.

As time passes and the girls after seeing the clear exhaustion on Orion's face, they let him sleep, Hogwarts Express is quick to cover all that distance. The speed was pretty fast enough but then something happened.
Unlike the usual cheerful, sunny environment. This time the journey was different though. Heavily clouded sky blocks all the sunlight. There was an eerie chill in the air. But the students didn't care. Those young minds didn't notice the change in the surrounding magic.
Among the only two who could sense this shift in magic, one was sleeping, much like the future DADA professor sleeping in front of him.
The other person though was on guard. This person was of course Nick and beside her sat Hermione with an equally serious look.
Nick was nervous. He clearly remembers the time when he first came across a dementor. He never liked Dementors, it reminded him of his past. Nothing but depression and sorrow.
Hermione on the side also looks similar, a little pale and a little defensive. She too has gone through the past memories countless numbers of times so she knew what happened in the Hogwarts expression in the third year.
Nick unlike the past Harry wasn't afraid of dementors. He has faced greater foes in his past life and even in this life to falter in front of a mere ugly ghost. But he was worried. He right now has no way to stop a dementor.
Practising dark magic means that one can't use light magic proficiently. Voldemort might have a way of handling dementors but Nick doesn't have any countermeasures ready.
There is some highly black magic that he can use but he is against it, in fact, he is reluctant to delve more into dark magic this time around.
After all, in his last life although he had the highest affinity for dark magic, to the point he even put someone like Voldemort to shame and he was least affected by the dark magic. It was not like he was outright immune to corruption.
By the end of his last life, when he was killed rather than died out of age, he was corrupted by dark magic. So much so that he lusted after blood, killing and war.
Harry or Nick right now, don't want to do the same. Otherwise, he would have gotten a lot stronger already. He killed Voldemort in his last life, would killing Orion be that hard?
Of course not...
But...
Today was different, previously he had this confidence that as long as he was alive, he could always trade his sanity for power and take care of Orion. But now it was different. He couldn't even sense Orion's magical power. Just felt fear.
His body just quivered when he saw Orion's blue eyes digging into him like looking at a pray ready to hunt anytime.
With his attitude today, Nick was sure about one thing. Orion has once again gotten stronger. Much much stronger than before.
He can say that he is quite similar to when he got corrupted by black magic. Looking upon everyone like they are ants. Like letting them live is showing mercy. He once looked at others like that. Well, there wasn't much mercy there, besides only some of his close people.
Now though, he is not sure whether he can handle Orion, maybe he delves more into dark magic but he can't say. But knowing that the target he wants to kill has grown to this level where one look from Orion shakes him to the core.
He obviously now has no way but to go on the path which he wanted to avoid.
As for Hermione's intent to stop him from killing her friends, he doesn't care. There is a reason he has to kill those two and to do that he will go through anything. Even that means losing Hermione's trust.
Hermione on the other hand, due to having her memories knew the exact spell to repel dementors. But the problem is that she is very weak right now. Her magic is still not mature and it's not like that with just memories alone she can cast a Patronous.
But there was no time to think about it anymore, becuase they felt the train slowing down.
"It's coming," Hermione slowly muttered, there was no one in the compartment surprisingly, Nick surely captured the entire place for them.
"Yes, but don't act. They are not here for us," Nick said but there was a clear sadness on his face. The reason why the Dementors came was to find his godfather.
He was at this time keeping up with the news and earlier in the news he learned that finally, Serius black of this world had escaped from the prison.
Nick clearly still holds affection for this godfather of his. Out of all the people he knew in his previous life, Sirius and Hermione are the only few who stayed by his side till the end.
So he wanted to make contact with Sirius. But... How?
Go and tell him that he is Harry Potter from another world and he also wants to kill Rose. He's not an idiot.
So he planned to stay away from Sirius for the time being. He won't contact Sirius, but he's not gonna let his godfather die again.
Although in the past it was Hermione who died at the hands of Bellatrix that doesn't mean that Sirius was saved.
It was like he was cursed so all his important people to be taken away. There were very few people who actually stayed on his side even after he indulged in black magic.

Soon the train completely stopped on its track and the train stood on top of a giant bridge. The chill in the air increased as light started to die out. Though others didn't notice any signs of dementors the chill and despair in the air was apparent.
Suddenly gasp rang out among the students as the glass walls of the train started to freeze. Making everyone studded and panic internally.
And that when it happened, the cold despair from the sky descended on the Hogwarts Express.
Skeleton-like ghost was descendent from the sky and coated with black clothes and aura.
Slowly the gates of the train opened and to everyone's horror they felt very malicious magic lingering outside of their compartments.
