Chapter 139 : Memories 4 (Bonus Chapter)
It took several days for Hermione to rewatch all the memories from her other self. It was strange how they both were Hermione, they both were the same overall and how similar their life had been.
And yet there has been so much difference in the outcome of both lives. Until the start of Hogwarts in those memories, Hermione only found little to no discrepancies.
But after Hogwarts started, that when she realized that this was a completely different world and what she was watching was the memories of a different Hermione.
The biggest difference here is that there was no Rose Potter or Orion Ambrosius in this world. And a boy who looked very familiar to her exists in this world.
HARRY POTTER.
But that's not how she remembered that face, for her he was Nick Iron. Or at least that's what she came to know the boy for the last 2 years.
In the memories, she saw that her other self's friendship with Harry Potter was on par with what she has right now with Rose and Orion...
Maybe was with Orion. After what she did, she hardly believed that Orion would forgive her any time soon.
In the first year of Hogwarts, things when very similar, at first her other self was not very close to both Ron and Harry, but later on they started to become friends.
Malfoy still bully her but this time around there was no Orion to protect her, and no one stood up for her in the early days.
Later on, just like what happened in her world, becuase of Ron, she ended up closing to herself in the girl's washroom on Christmas eve.
There was no Orion to save her other self. But both Harry and Ron came to save her just like Orion did.
Surprisingly both Harry and Ron were able to knock down the Troll. Even more surprised that it was Ron because of whom the troll finally was going down.
This might be the only thing which made her suspicious about this memory being fake.
After that incident, her other self's friendship with both Harry and Ron grew and ultimately the so-called golden trio was formed.
By the end of that year, they went to protect the philosopher stone from Quil. And it was completely different from what she remembered from last year.
Last year they never even entered the dungeon, upon reaching the hallway they were caught in a fight between Snape and Quil. But here in the memories, not only they went in but also solved many puzzles until Harry alone fought off against Quildemort.
Then there was the second year. Very similar with some differences at the beginning. Later in the year, for some reason, students start to get petrified and later the golden trio starts their own investigation.
This then ends with Hermione later getting petrified and both Harry and Ron entering the chamber of secrets with Professor Lockhart to kill the basilisk and save Ginny.
Only for Lockhart's reality to be shown, Harry fights the Basilisk alone and ultimately saves Ginny.

It really took her a long time to go through each and every memory. After watching them, she could say that there was no way that they were fake. No one can reforge fake memories with this degree of detail and quality. Even her small habits like nail biting when she is thinking something or is nervous were included.
Not to mention the memories didn't stop in the second year, they went on. The third year was when Serius Black ran away even after the Hogwarts ended for the year.
Harry, Ron and her other self became fugitives in the eyes of magical Britain after Voldemort took control of the ministry of magic.
And in one of these conflicts. She was injured and died until she as a memento delivered all her feelings and memories to Harry before she died.
So that the boy she loved could know what she felt for him. So that she could always be with Harry.

With a jolt Hermione's eyes open, finding herself in her dorm, she tried to control her uneven breathing as streams of tears rolled down from her eyes.
All those feelings came crashing down on her, all those memories broke the despair she was feeling, making her break into sobbing.
"Was this the future which awaits them, is there no way to stop what's coming," Hermione questioned herself. Now she was even more confused about what to do.
How was she supposed to react when someone gave her the memories of what happened in another world and how she died?
What is she supposed to do now?

After coming down and wiping off her tears, she now had only one thing on her mind. To find Nick and ask questions. How Nick or Harry or be exact is here. What happened to them after her other self died in that other world?
How she is connected with all this. There were too many questions in her mind and only one person would answer them.
So disregarding everything she went out to find Nick.
She didn't even realize that while she was spending time with Nick earlier or after the chamber of a secret incident where she spent most of the time sorting out the memories or confronting Nick, she is slowly getting distant from her friends like Rose, Daphne and more than anyone, Orion.
This was shown when she wasn't there when Orion woke up after the chamber of secrets. When he first came back from St Mungo's or even when he left Hogwarts castle.
Hermione wasn't even aware that Orion left the castle.
This was forming big gaps in their relationship.
