127 Chapter 127 : Orion Vs Nick 1

Quickly calculating, Orion comes to the estimate that he has around 2 minutes or less before the big snake comes out of it stupor. Looking at Nick pointing his wand at him, he was kind of cornered. 

There are two things he can do there, either complete what he planned before and destroy the other eye of the Basilisk or target Nick in front of him. It was a no brainer what he wanted to do. But after thinking, making the Snake blind is the wiser choice. 

That will at best stop the snake on its track or at worst make both him and Nick the target of 70-meter-long Basilisks.

"Avada Kedavra" came the sound and Orion's fast reflexes kicked it in time and he sidesteped the upcoming attack. 

'Yeah, destroying that other eye is not going to be that easy with him here,' Orion complains under his breath and rushes at Nick at his top speed. With a speed that almost bent the space itself and broke the sound barrier, almost. Orion approaches Nick.

Nick's eyes went wide as saucers, hurriedly he swung his wand to create a wide shield. There was no way to stop Nick any other way. And he was right to do so as the next moment his shield felt the full brunt of Orion's fire fist. 

Crack.

The entire shield cracked and the punch was so powerful that it broke the shield and pushed Nick two steps back with just the black slash of the magic shield breaking alone.

He didn't even have enough time to think as another titanic punch was targeted right at his head. He could have sworn that he saw death written behind that punch.

"Swooop".

Orion thought that he got the bastard but at the last second, Nick used apparition to get away from his place, making Orion only punch the air.

'What, how even teleportation of any kind is working in here, I thought it was blocked by ancient magic,' Orion thought and simultaneously dug an attack at his blind spot.

"Haaa," shouted Orion taking a Kamehame pose and fire lit up between his palms. 

A dense fireball flew towards Nick with much speed, that Nick didn't have much time to dodge. Taking out his elder wand, he conjures another shield in front of him to stop the fireball.

Fortunately for him, his shield holds up this time around. But he didn't waste any time and once again teleported away, this time far enough from Orion that he couldn't reach himself before he could cast spells.

Noticing that his strategy worked, Orion vanished from his place. Nick who already had a hard time tracking Orion's movement immediately went on defensive. But nothing happened. 

Looking around he just couldn't locate where Orion went, but just then he found Orion in front of the basilisk. There was something in his hand, Nick couldn't say as he saw Orion throw that thing towards Basilisk. 

He wanted to act and stop whatever the Gryffindor threw at the giant snake, he didn't care about the Basilisk but he too knew what Orion was trying to accomplish here. If he renders the Basilisk blind, then the snake is actually a liability. It won't be able to tell the difference between himself and Orion. 

"Fiendfyre"

The sudden magical power attracts both Basilisk's and Orion's attention, stopping him in his tracks to attack the Snake.

The flames rose as the temperature of the fire climbed higher.

'I don't think that I can eat that fire like the last time' Orion grumbled. Actually, even he himself doesn't know how he ate the flames last time, he just did it in rage but later when he tried he just couldn't.

He saw the fire taking the form of a giant snake, bigger than even the Basilisk. His magic immediately came forth while space started to bend slightly near his palms.

The hellish fire rushed at him with monstrous might, he was ready to collect his power in the palm and spread both of his hands pushing them towards the fastly approaching fire snake.

"Boom," a powerful blast took place as it originated from Orion's palms. The concentrated force blasted out while dispersing the Fiendfyre spell.

"Huff Huff," Orion was able to block that attack thanks to his proficiency of Nature magic and the law of space but it took enough of his magical power and stamina.

But before he could do anything, he saw a giant tail coming at him, and while not having enough time to dodge, all he could do here is to put a force shield in front of him. 

"Boom". He was sent flying back right at the wall of the chamber.

Nick saw this and knew that this was his chance, he was about to send a killing curse but something stopped him in his tracks just before he could do that.

"Gwak," came the sound as a red bird came with something. 

Nick saw this and suddenly fell into a trance, like thinking about something.

Orion on the other hand was waiting for Red, and the moment he saw the bird, he also saw what Red was carrying.

"Here," Orion just had hit the wall but with a Troll and a Dragon's defences, nothing major happened to him. Extending his hand, he used the force to pull the cloth Red had.

Swoop.

As soon as he got the cloth, he opened it and it was just what he quickly took out an excellent-looking sword.

"Finally"

All right there was just no way that I will not include something like a lightsaber if I am going on and on about Force.
