125 Chapter 125 : Trapped

"That's a long fall there," Orion eye twitched and with a sigh, he jumped.

He was looking like a black Obs special ranger of some sort after putting all sorts of magical equipment he made or got from his exploits from Gringotts. 

As he entered the underground area where the Basilisks live, he was on full alert. A thick smell of snake was around him, his senses were working overtime to find any sort of trap or someone hiding in the area.

There was nothing, but still, he didn't let his guard down and after taking out three gems from his magical belt, something he created especially to hold all of his weapons and other magical equipment, and threw them upwards.

And as soon as the stones floated up they shone with bright light and kept on floating around Orion like fireflies. 

He makes these stones after taking inspiration from Witcher 3. A witcher in that game can cast 5 simple spells but all of them are pretty impressive. Aard, Yrden, Igni, Quen, and Axii are the names of the spells but in the game and books, they called them signs. 

Orion has taken inspiration from this game and out of all the spells out there, the one which he wanted to recreate the most was Quen. 

A shield which after casting can protect the caster from any sort of attack up to a certain time. He actually can do something similar with force but that is not automatic. He has to cast this spell when facing an attack but that is not enough.

After all, most of the time, an attack can come from anywhere and it's not always possible to dodge it or block it. Thus he ended up creating these stones. They can tank up to 3 hits each or one powerful hit for him.

He saw the floating magical stones with satisfaction and moved on, following the scent and magical traces to find his way to the chamber.

Didn't take him a long time as he found himself in front of a giant iron door, decorated with many snakes like they were guarding the door.

Slowly extending his hands towards the door, he touches the cold iron door. He thought that even touching would activate some sort of attack but nothing happened. 

He was about to draw the magic but suddenly his eyes narrows. The gate was not locked by magic it was a simple locking mechanism. 

'Maybe that guy didn't lock it just so that I can enter the chamber? Possible,' Orion thought and then said.

"Alohomora," 

And just like he thought the gate started to open with just a simple spell. As the gate opened he saw a much more illuminated large room than the sewer he was standing right now. 

There was water on both the left and right sides of the long hallway and along the pathway many stone statues of snake heads were present.

His sharp eyes immediately search around, trying to find the figure of Hermione, Nick or the basilicks. Before entering he took out a potion bottle from his belt. This potion he specially made just in case he faced the Basilisk. Does only one thing but that is enough, this lets him look that snake right in the eye and say.

"Surprise Mother Fu*ker," 

This though suddenly brought a little smile on his face, easing his tense nerves, he slowly entered the the chamber. And just like any normal horror movie, of course, upon entrance the chamber door closes on its own. Kind of trapping him.

'So you want to trap me here is that it.' Orion thought and started moving to the centre of the as he was observing his surroundings.

But to his irritation, he didn't see anyone there, there was no snake there, no Nick Iron there and no Hermione Granger there.

"Welcome Orion Ambrosius," Suddenly the sound came, putting Orion immediately on the edge as he fully released his law of presence to find the source of the sound.

"It's Orion D. Ambrosius," Orion slowly chided as he looked around, scanning all sorts of magical signatures present in the chamber. But he couldn't find anything, the room itself is blocking his senses. And Nick is using this for himself.

"I have to say Orion, this was not how I expected this to end." Came the voice but Orion knew that this voice was from Nick.

Apparently, Nick too took some precautions, putting enough distance from Orion and him. Most probably he too realized that Orion was so fast that he most likely put a bullet in his head before he could fire a spell. Well, not exactly a bullet but a punch strong enough to crack his skull.

"When the first time I saw you with her, I was just wondering why two of them. What's going on? And this what took me so much time to take action. I honestly just wanted to be done with both of you but I decided against it. A wrong move on my path. I should have killed both of you last year.

Oh how weak you were just a year ago. That is what made me relax, but who would have thought that you would get this strong so fast?

I don't know between you two, who is her reincarnation but I don't care anymore. " Nick said from somewhere and Orion was getting confused.

She, who?

What is this madman talking about? Will he have to pay more tax if he uses the names?

Orion kept on looking around, trying to find his location but to no avail. He knows that if he wants to then he can but that will take his full focus. Not something that he can do right now.

"Where is Hermione," Orion had many comebacks or remarks to annoy him but he decided to cut to the chase.

"Oh eager are we, well you don't have to worry about her. It is you who you should be worried about. Maybe you haven't understood your situation but my friend you are trapped here," Came the voice.

"Not even willing to show your face huh, some kind of friend you are. And it is you who is mistaken here. I am not the one trapped here. It is you who is trapped here with me," Orion replied, it took him to come up with a plan but now he knew how to find Nick.

But it was meaningless after what he heard Nick say next.
