100 Chapter 100 : Dragon Slayer 1
The roar of the dragon resounded in the dungeon as Orion gulped.
[What are you waiting for, Run] Merlin shouted.
Orion who was stunned at the sudden appearance of the beast behind him, also got out of his stupor and came to action.
With a leap, he made distance from the dragon and started to run out of the platform, knowing that after a distance the dragon wouldn't follow him as the chain would come in his way.
But the dragon had another idea as he opened his huge mouth and heat started to rise inside him.
[Watch out...] shouted Merlin as fire directly shot at Orion. Orion also acting on his lightning-fast reflexes, jumps out of the way of the flames, barely missing them.
He fell to the ground, trying to avoid the flames.
[Idiot, don't just dodge, you can't dodge those flames all the time, use force. Block them before you become KFC chicken]
"I KNOW, I KNOW," Orion shouted back as he raised his hand, blocking the incoming barrage of fire towards him.
Using his other hand he also took out the same bombs which he used against the troll. Something he still kept on his pendant just in case he was in a tough situation.
Unlike what he believed, it was easier to block the fire than he thought. Force acting on his will, he was even able to push back the flames. Giving him time to get out of the dungeon.
"ROARRRRRRRRRRR".
But with another roar, the dragon then suddenly opened its mighty wings, which pretty much covered the entire 300-meter-long platform. With simple flicks of the wings, the wind pressure increased and the huge body of the dragon rose in the air.
"Shit," Orion said as he saw the reptile going higher in the air and coming directly at him.
"Why the hell that chain is so long." Orion cursed as he saw the dragon only flying under the limit of the chain.
[Duck, duck duck] Merlin said and Orion did so.
Just a microsecond later as he hit the ground, the mighty body of the dragon flew past him, just missing him by an inch.
'Good thing he was planning to tackle me and not eat me. I am sure his neck would be enough to reach me,'
[Watch out] Merlin shouted.
Orion notices the dragon landing and then swings his long ass tail towards him. The powerful tail of the beast was nothing less than a big iron lance.
He didn't have time to dodge.
"Fuc...." He raised both of his hands out and made his strongest force shield, which he could muster. Trying his best to block the upcoming attack.
"Boom".
But no luck there as the shield although absorbed most of the damage from the attack still broke and a portion of the force was transferred to Orion as well.
Sending him flying back across the platform. Good thing he had a Troll's defence as well.
[Hey get up fast, that dragon is coming] Merlin shouted.
But no reply....
[Orion]
"..."
[This idiot, what are you doing? I know you are not unconscious. Move !] Merlin shouted seeing the dragon coming closer.
Orion didn't move.
As the dragon was near and its hot breath started to accumulate inside his huge mouth, Orion smirked.
"Now take this, you useless reptile," he shouted as he threw the flash bomb at the Dragon.
The throw was powerful enough to reach the dragon before he shot fire out of his mouth.
"Flash"
"Grussssss Ahrrrr"
"Awesome it worked," Orion said and he got up, without showing any injuries on his body and rushed out of the platform.
[You could have let me know what you are thinking] Merlin grumbled from the side.
"Didn't have time," Orion quickly replied and was getting out of the platform but then suddenly heard the Dragon roaring again.
He once again thought of throwing another flash bomb at the reptile but...
But...
"What THE FU*KKKKKKKKKKK" Orion's sudden reaction confused both Merlin and the Dragon.
[Oi what are you doing, get out of here. You are no match for that dragon right now. I hope you are not thinking about absorbing it. Even you are not that big of an idiot].
"It's gone,"
[Huh]
"My pendant.. it's gone" Orion started to look frantically around.
[You drop it !] Even Merlin sounded stunned.
"Roarrrrrrr" Another roar from the dragon made the frantic Orion snap his neck at the noisy beast.
"Oi quite down a little, I just ...." Orion was saying but then he saw the position where he was thrown at. There it was... his pendant was lying there defenceless.
And the dragon was so close to it that he could have crushed it anytime.
"Roaaarrrr" Another roar came.
"Don't you dare move you big fat chicken? I swear to god if anything happens to my money then I will eradicate your entire species," Shouted Orion with a crazy look on his face.
[What, you still care about that? Just get the Fu*k out of here will ya.] Merlin almost facepalms.
But Orion was not listening to him anymore. He just got ready and launch himself. Almost becoming a blur with the help of Force Speed and closing the gap between him and his money.. I mean his dear pendant.
"Dhaaama"
Orion was near, almost there to get his pendant but just before he could, the giant limb of the dragon which was so near the Pendant moved slightly.
Orion who was almost a blur earlier suddenly stopped. Almost losing balance. He saw the pendant getting crushed under that damn dragon.
He was standing there gawking like an idiot. Eye wide and face pale. In fact, it almost looked like a cartoon to Merlin.
"...My Mone...."
"...My Preciou..."
Orion was stuttering, seeing his dreams getting crushed under the 100 kg limb of a dragon, seeing his future losing all his light. All his life almost flashed through his eyes at this time.
Merlin seeing this just cursed under his breath that he didn't have any popcorn. For a second even he forgot that there was a fu*king dragon standing in front of them.
"ROARRRRR" Another roar from the dragon brought both Merlin and Orion out of their stupor.
Orion finally raises his lifeless eyes and Merlin sees fire burning inside them. Merlin wanted to say that the Pendant would be alright as it's magically enchanted but this was the top-class entertainment he would be missing if he did so.
"ROOOOOAAAARRRRRRRR", This was not the dragon who roared this time.
There were veins popping on Orion's forehead. No scratch that, there were veins popping all over his body, and as anger rose so did the magical power inside him.
There was a slight fluctuation in the space. Something which Merlin noticed. Even his eyes went wide like saucers.
"YOU MOTHER****** AS****** I WILL SKIN YOU ALIVE AND MAKE YOUR BALL **********. You Son of a ********"
Anyone would have blushed to hear all the profanities Orion was vomiting but not Merlin. After all, they both wrote their book together. He by now is pretty used to it, but then suddenly he remembers something and realized that if Orion fights the dragon then most likely he will also absorb the dragon's magic as well.
[Oh this is bad. Can't let him absorb a dragon] Merlin panics. He tried to make Orion snap out of his enraged state but there was no stopping a man who lost everything in his life. Well, at least Orion was thinking like that.
He was still going on with his colourful language when he saw the dragon open his mouth and fire rasing inside his mouth.
[Oi Oi, move. Stop talking nonsense] Merlin said but it was too late. Orion was already too far gone.
As the fire reached closer to him, Merlin panicked but there was no hesitation on his face.
He stood there like a chad and let the fire hit him.

The fire was everywhere, Merlin was trying to look and penetrate to see what happened to his student. Orion didn't dodge or put up a shield. He just stood there and took the fire head-on.
[BLOODY IDIOT]
The Dragon was roaring again, seeing that the intruder was down. But he suddenly felt a high intensity of magic in the fire.
Merlin too senses it and also notices that suddenly the fire starts to move in a strange way. Like getting stuck inside a vacuum.
Merlin blink...
Blink blink...
As the fire from all around started to gather in one spot and got devoured, one man remained standing unscathed inside the fire.
[The hell, did this guy just eat fire ?]
Merlin finally saw that fire was getting stuck inside Orion's mouth like he was eating the flames themself.
As he was done, and magically all the fire got extinguished or devoured, he breathed out, releasing a hot breath which almost looked like smoke coming out of his mouth.
"Now that put some Fire in my Belly. You are doomed you f*cking reptile,
GIVE MY MONEY BACK YOU ASSHO******"
