34. I Am Not Happy

"So, you came to inform me...?" Aurelius asked, giving Queenie a strange look.

"Why? Why? Give me a reason. We've only met twice, and our first meeting wasn't very friendly," he said.

Queenie looked back at him and said, "My sister asked me to come. She told Chairman Picquery about your situation—"

"..." She has Tina's style!

Tina's character is very strong, which might be because she and Queenie were orphaned at a young age. Their parents died from dragon pox, a fatal infectious disease.

After becoming an orphan, Tina took on the responsibility of caring for Queenie. Despite being the older sister, Tina played the role of a mother.

The two sisters wanted to protect themselves, so Tina disguised herself as a hedgehog. She was cold and serious and worked hard to become excellent, eventually becoming an Auror.

But she still has kindness in her heart, even though bad things sometimes happen.

Aurelius's home is being evicted. While Tina wasn't responsible for the decision, she felt that she had to help.

"After all, I have to leave here. There doesn't seem to be much difference between getting deported and running away. At least deportation wouldn't make you a fugitive," Aurelius said.

Queenie was shocked and quickly said, "I didn't suggest you run away!"

Aurelius blinked and began to realize that as soon as he entered the room, Queenie had said it was time for him to leave, not that he should escape.

What a guilty conscience! Aurelius laughed at himself internally.

He may not show it on the surface, but deep down, he's a law-abiding citizen. Suddenly becoming a fugitive made him feel uncomfortable.

"Tina has written to Newt, hoping he can help you apply for immigration in the UK. She'll also help you find someone to assist with the application so you can stay in the country. Chairman Picquery has no objections," Queenie explained, sharing the ideas they had discussed throughout the night.

"Tina and I will delay the Auror who comes to deport you tomorrow morning. You'll need to leave temporarily for two days. According to the law, a wanted notice will be issued after three days. Three days should be enough time to wait for your immigration application. I'm here to inform you. You should leave early tomorrow morning, or else you'll have to spend a few days in temporary prison," she warned.

Aurelius nodded. He was familiar with the plan but unfamiliar with the laws of the magical world. He didn't even know these regulations existed. Tina thought it through. This matter wasn't as troublesome as Newt's situation a month ago when he was facing the threat of the Statute of Secrecy being violated, escaping from prison, and attacking a Muggle (Jacob), all of which could have resulted in a sentence of more than ten years.

In the end, Newt was pardoned for most of his crimes due to his accomplishments in successfully controlling the minds of everyone in New York. He was technically deported, but it was more of a formality.

If Aurelius's goal was to remain in the Magical Congress, Tina had a simple solution. However, Aurelius felt uncomfortable about it.

"Piquery doesn't object, but I do," Aurelius stated.

Queenie looked surprised.

Aurelius had no interest in accepting Tina's offer.

Just kidding!

Aurelius saw himself as the future ruler of the magical world in America. Why would he accept a plan that seemed like charity from Picquery?

It was clear to him that the Magical Congress was at fault, so he saw himself as a victim. He didn't receive any compensation and now he was expected to accept charity? It made him feel like a dog!

Like a dog obediently wagging its tail and begging for mercy!

"Deportation? That's not an issue. I simply wish to go for a stroll. I've been in New York for eighteen years. The world is vast, why not explore it?" Aurelius said with a smile.

"..." Queenie looked at him quizzically. "You want to leave?"

"If I want to leave, I'll do it on my own. Please inform the Aurors who are coming tomorrow that there's no need for them to come," Aurelius calmly responded.

"I'm afraid that won't suffice. They won't stop coming. It's against the rules," Queenie admitted, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"Rules? Queenie, let's not forget who broke the rules in the first place. New York just experienced a disaster. The Magical Congress certainly doesn't want any more exposure to the magical world," Aurelius said, pulling out a small notebook from the bedside table. It had the American national emblem on it. "I am a law-abiding American citizen."

"The Magical Congress has the authority to deport an unregistered wizard, but it may not have the authority to deport a legal citizen and taxpayer of the No-Maj government, right? Take this to Chairwoman Picquery for me. I believe she'll understand," Aurelius instructed.

Queenie took the certificate handed to her by Aurelius, pursed her lips, waved her wand, and disappeared.

However, Aurelius returned to bed and fell asleep as if he had no care.

This was confidence.

Having the confidence to overturn the situation at any time.

He may not have taken control of the magical world in America yet, but he wasn't ready to do so just yet.

Remember!

It's "don't want to," not "can't"!

Just because a lion doesn't care about ants doesn't mean that the lion won't crush them to death.

Don't exaggerate, the gap between wizards and powerful wizards might be wider than the gap between lions and ants.

Wake up at dawn. In Magical Congress.

Picquery held Aurelius's certificate and wanted to crush it.

She has always maintained her own identity.

Never before has any wizard dared to despise her or threaten her like this!

(Grindelwald picks his ears: What did you say?)

However, despite the remaining reason, Picquery still suppressed the idea of immediately sending an Auror to capture Aurelius.

Aurelius's situation was too special.

Since the founding of the Magical Congress, wizards and No-Majs have been in a state of absolute isolation.

Except for Aurelius, no wizard has the identity of a citizen of America, and some of them are fake.

But obviously, Aurelius is real.

Avoiding any behavior that sets a precedent has been the norm for these politicians. This is why so many reformers throughout history have gone down in history.

Not everyone dares to replace the old with the new.

Should we negotiate with the No-Maj government? Wouldn't that violate the confidentiality law?

If he insists on going his way without negotiation, what if Aurelius directly exposes the secrets of the wizarding world? Aurelius told a few people that it didn't matter, but what if his behavior inspired those wizards who were unwilling to obey the Magical Congress?

Will there ever be a day when the Magical Congress will be quiet?

One question after another, each with potentially serious consequences.

Do you dare to start such a first of its kind?

Picquery does not have the courage. You don't even need to see the power of Aurelius.

The final result can only be nothing. Pretending to be blind is also a traditional art.

The Magical Congress only pretends that Aurelius does not exist and that Aurelius is just a stowaway wizard.

To be honest, this is still not a good first. Picquery and the MAC are destined to suffer a miserable loss.

Tina breathed a sigh of relief.

Aurelius is unwilling to accept her method, so this is the best outcome.

When Queenie told Aurelius, Aurelius just chuckled and added a word that was not a compliment:

"It's okay. I finally stopped doing stupid things."
