3 CH1: Behind the veil part.2

Seeing the dark tome at the center of the library, everything seemed to indicate that it could contain the secret allowing Erebus to return home. The young man then dashed towards the book that appeared to hold magical attributes and thus his ticket home. But his journey began to elongate despite his sense of movement; he blinked slightly, and then a most peculiar phenomenon occurred. Erebus found himself opposite the entrance door, the grimoire and the statue now behind him. He had been teleported after a simple blink. Stunned by the situation, he noted that the phenomenon repeated itself. A force weighed on his eyelids during his movements, forcing him to blink.

*Rumble*

Hunger had gripped the young wizard, but this infernal dimension seemed devoid of substance to satisfy his hunger. Panic seized him. Was he going to end up here? No, he knew he had to find a solution to at least survive until he found a way to reach the black book in the center.

Erebus then surveyed the rows of books around him in this giant library. He approached a random row and picked up a book. On the cover page, the young wizard could make out a particular symbol: a circle with a curved stem extending from the right side and curving slightly inward toward the circle. It felt strangely familiar to him without having any memory of it.

The young man's eyes began to shine intensely, momentarily blinding him and causing him to drop the book. During this flash, a kind of knowledge library of an unknown alphabet settled in his mind, along with knowledge of a new language. After a few minutes, the intense green light gradually diminished before disappearing. After sorting his thoughts, Erebus leaned down and retrieved the book he had previously dropped. The meaning of the symbol was now obvious to him.

"Oht," Erebus said, observing the cover page.

This symbol corresponded to the letter O in the Daedric alphabet. Turning the book and looking at its spine, runes similar to Oht formed a word. Erebus could read:

OhtBedtLyrIyaVehkIyaOhtNeht.

"Oblivion," the young man murmured.

Taking a deep breath, the boy then opened the book and saw Daedric symbols moving through the pages of the book like living beings. As he admired the strange contents of the book, suddenly pain seized him, his body stiffened, and he fell to the ground.

A transformation seized Erebus, twisting his body in a grotesque dance of flesh and tentacles. His pale skin turned into a scaly, viscous texture of green color. His human limbs contorted and elongated, transforming into slimy, writhing tentacles emerging from his body in a chaotic whirl of unnameable shapes. His eyes, which had already lost their human appearance, multiplied, emitting a sinister glow into the depths of the library until they reached a total of six.

Tentacular appendages blossomed from his back, flapping in the air with a graceful yet grotesque and harmonious appearance. His mouth, covered in tentacles, opened to reveal a row of sharp fangs, oozing viscous and greenish saliva. Monstrous growths burst from his skull, forming twisted horns and grotesque bony structures.

Erebus rose in his new form, an abyssal creature, born from the greatest nightmares. His aura filled the library with an oppressive presence, akin to that of a forgotten deity, awakened after eons of hibernation.

"What have I become?" Erebus said, his voice seeming to be accompanied by a vast choir, as if several beings accompanied him in his speech.

"Luna will have a new creature to study with this and will have something to enjoy," he chuckled slightly.

Erebus felt a sudden immense hunger that seemed to engulf him. Some kind of instinct guided him to read the book on oblivion to satiate this hunger. He then seized the book, and his tentacles, which served as arms, violently flipped through the book, which oddly showed no sign of damage. During this journey through the book, neon green runes began to glow on Erebus's tentacles, and his eyes shone with the same intensity.

After five minutes, he stopped and returned the book to its original place. By reading it, knowledge of conjuration and oblivion was integrated into his mind. Reading also seemed to have alleviated his hunger.

Erebus then positioned himself in a clear space in the library and raised one of his tentacles. A purple aura began to shine on it.

"SEHT-EKEM-EKEM-KOHT-EKEM-ROHT!" he chanted. (SEEKER)

The purple aura then left his hand and formed a purple portal in front of him. Then a tentacle accompanied by an arm emerged from the portal. The owner of the two limbs eventually emerged; it was a floating creature, with tentacles all over its body, a generally greenish color, wearing a dull-colored cape that covered it slightly, a mouth and a row of teeth located on the creature's chest. Another horror like the being who summoned it.

The strange being approached Erebus, then said with a tone of reverence:

"I have answered your call, master."
