Harry sat in his room watching all of the beautiful marine life moving about in the lake while trying not to disturb the giant sleeping squid. Harry took a sip of firewhisky from the glass in his hand.

Harry can't believe how naive he was back then, he actually believed that all of the problems with the wizarding world would just magically disappear after he defeated Voldemort. But things are never that simple, killing the Dark Lord was just treating the symptoms while ignoring the real sickness plaguing their world.

But at least time things are much better. Without Umbridge's anti-werewolves legislation and all of the work his Uncle Remus is doing the werewolves are in a better position than ever. Harry also has his plans to help the werewolves and make sure that they never have to side with Voldemort.

Most of the dark wizards and witches who sided with Voldemort are either rotting in Azkaban or hiding somewhere. They know better than to cause trouble with the Auror Department having such powerful people like Amelia Bones, Moody, Shacklebolt, Uncle Sirius, his father, etc.

The only real problem is the blood supremacists faction made up of death eaters and their supporters. After Voldemort's fall, most of the death eaters are concealing themselves but they still hold vast political influence and power especially with Malfoy bribing Fudge.

Harry knows more than enough to have Fudge removed as Minister by tomorrow if he wants to but that's not a solution it's just delaying the problem. Harry also can't just kill all of the death eaters because the deaths of so many people would cause widespread chaos and fear in wizarding Britain.

Harry rubbed his head. Politics is not his strong suit, Harry mostly depended on Daphne to take care of the political side of things. But right now Daphne is just an eleven-year-old first year who is probably sleeping right now after finishing her assignments.

"Give up Harry. We both know that you are not a strategist. You should do what you are great at, that is thinking on your feet. But you kind of had to be because of all the crap life throws at you." Tom taunted Harry as he appeared lying on the couch.

"Like you are so great at it. Your idea of a good plan mostly involves blackmail or torture or both." Harry retorted after taking a sip from his glass.

"But it works right and that's all that matters. It is simple but effective. what else do you want?"

Harry sighed "I actually care about people instead of just merely tolerating their existence like you."

"I am also great at manipulating others but you don't ever go for that option. Come on just try it once, you have no idea how great it feels to just watch them dance like puppets with just a few words." Tom spoke with barely contained glee dripping from his voice.

Harry was about to refute Tom but was interrupted by someone knocking at the door. Harry quickly opened the door only to find Greengrass standing in front of him.

Daphne eyed the glass in his hand "you are drinking now Potter." She said as she walked past him and entered his room.

"Here I thought you were just addicted to tea, I guess you don't do anything halfway" she continued.

Daphne is nervous for some reason, she only focuses on him when she wants to avoid talking about herself or when she is nervous and hesitating about something.

Tom arrived right next to Greengrass carefully observing her every move. "Harry! Look how adorable and cute this mini Greengrass is. Who knew that this little girl would one day become that ruthless and vicious witch."

Harry tired of Tom's antics kicked him out which caused Tom to disappear from his sight.

"What do you want Greengrass?" Harry directly asked instead of beating around the bush.

Daphne looked straight into his eyes. Harry felt her feeble attempts to look into his mind but even Voldemort at his full strength can't do that let alone a somewhat talented first year.

Daphne quickly looked away and clutched her head in pain even after he did his best to push her out of his head as gently as possible.

"If you are done with your games. I ask again, what do want Greengrass?" Harry said seriously with a straight face.

Daphne took a deep breath and then looked directly at him with a fire burning in her eyes "I want to pledge myself to you"

Harry flared his aura but even under the tremendous pressure of his magic Daphne stared back at him with her resolve as strong as ever.

"Do you even understand what that means?" Harry asked with rage flowing out of his voice and his eyes glowing green with power as he made his aura as terrifying as possible.

Most adults would have pissed themselves in front of him by now but Daphne just flinched a little before nodding and continued to stare back at him.

Harry always knew that Daphne was strong but he had no idea she was this strong. Even as an eleven-year-old she is already one of the most stubborn and strong-willed people he knows.

Harry stopped flaring his aura as his eyes stopped glowing and the atmosphere in the room returned to normal. Daphne's face became flushed and she started to take deep breaths like she had been holding her breath for a long time.

"Why me?" Harry asked casually like he was just having a simple conversation with his friend.

"Because you are terrifying. I need someone as monstrous and terrifying as you if I want to achieve my goals." Daphne answered seriously.

Harry should have never underestimated Greengrass just because she is a kid, he took one last look at the stubborn little girl standing in front of him before nodding.
