9 Chapter 7: Charm and Transfiguration

Before the chapter starts, I just want to say that there are some changes in who shares a class with who.
So, let's say that Gryffindors might share a class with Slytherins that wasn't in canon.

It was the second day of the new school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the first-year students were eager to start their lessons. The Great Hall was bustling with activity as the students sat down for breakfast.
Our protagonist was still getting used to the noise and the crowds of students. He rubbed his bleary eyes and took in the sights and sounds around him. The sweet scent of warm pancakes and syrup that wafted towards him made his stomach growl, and Sebastian then sat down at the Slytherin table.
He filled his plate with pancakes and bacon and took a sip of the pumpkin juice that had been poured at each seat. As he savored the food, he gazed around the great hall. The students were laughing and talking, excited to start their day. He even saw the famous Golden Trio. with Ron stuffing food in his mouth.
It seems the sorting was cannon.
The beaming sun shone through the tall windows, casting its warm light on the students.
He took another bite of his pancakes and closed his eyes, savoring the sweetness and comfort they provided. The pancakes were quite fluffy and light, and the syrup was just the right amount of sweet. He washed it all down with a sip of pumpkin juice, which was cool and refreshing.
After breakfast, he and the other first years headed towards their first class of the day - Transfiguration.
Sebastian made his way to his first class at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. and took his seat on the Slytherin side of the classroom.
He noticed McGonagall's Animagus form. Although he was curious whether they could take on the characteristics of the animal they transformed into.
For example, if McGonagall were a cat, would he have nine lives? Dispelling these thoughts, Sebastian looked at the entrance to the class.
after a couple of minutes.
He noticed Harry and Ron entering the room in a hurry.
"Great, we made it." "Can you imagine McGonagall's face if she found we were late?" Ron said to Harry breathlessly as they entered the class,
The cat who was sitting on the desk quickly jumped up and transformed back into Professor McGonagall. "That was bloody brilliant," said Ron, "Thank you, Mr. Weasley; perhaps you'd like it if I turned you into a pocket watch, that way one of you might be on time."
"We got lost," said Harry, not helping his case. "Perhaps a map," McGonagall said sternly.
Malfoy and his henchman started snickering at the misfortune of the duo.
"Just head over to your desks," said McGonagall. The only desk that was empty was quickly taken by Harry and Ron.
Sebastian glanced at Hermoine on the Gryffindor side, who was scribbling something on a piece of parchment paper.
His mouth started twitching.
The class hasn't even started, and she was taking notes.
"Good morning class," Professor McGonagall said in her usual strict tone.
"Today, we will be learning the basics of Transfiguration. I expect each and every one of you to pay close attention and practice."
Sebastian listened intently and took notes as Professor McGonagall explained the theory behind Transfiguration and the importance of focus and visualization.
Although he practiced the spells, it was all thanks to the system that allowed him to master them up to this point. So, that led to him having a lack of knowledge about the theory behind Transfiguration, so this was new to him.
The class began their first lesson by transforming a match into a needle. Sebastian, who picked up his wand, closed his eyes and focused on the match, visualizing it changing into a needle. With a flick of his wand. The match was successfully transformed into a needle.
Sebastian felt a gaze piercing his head. Sebastian looked around the room and noticed Hermione Granger eyeing him with a challenging gaze.
Sebastian let out a sigh while he broke eye contact and looked at Professor McGonagall, who was now in front of him examining his needle.
"Very good, Mr.Black ," Professor McGonagall praised.
"10 points for Slytherin." The professor rewarded Sebastian for his successful attempt.
Hermione, who saw McGonagall praising Sebastian, and giving him house points, looked at the match on the table and then transformed the match into a needle. At least tried to but, she only managed to get it silver colored and pointy. Hermoine couldn't fully turn the match into a needle.
Which nonetheless got a praise from McGonagall, but in the end only Sebastian could transform the match into a needle. With Hermoine sort of transforming it.
The next class the Slytherins had was - Charms. The sounds of their footsteps echoed through the halls as they walked down the winding staircase and along the marble corridor. As they approached the Charms classroom, they could hear the distant sound of Professor Flitwick's high-pitched voice.
"Good morning, students!" Professor Flitwick greeted them as they entered the classroom. "Today, we will be learning the spell Lumos!"
The students settled into their seats, As Professor Flitwick explained the spell, and the proper incantation and wand movements. He demonstrated the spell, causing a bright light to appear from the tip of his wand.
"Now, it's your turn," Professor Flitwick said, and he continued. "I want you to practice the spell and see if you can make a light appear."
Sebastian who has trained all the first-year spells, recited the incantation, and with a flick of his wand, A ball of light appeared on the tip of his wand.
The Slytherin students started clapping for Sebastian. As he did it on his first try. Even Malfoy and his henchmen were sort of clapping.
After a couple of tries from the other Slytherins.
The class ended.
