Chapter 61: Something Like A House Call

Layla's Bedroom, The Quinn Residence, Backwoods, Temperance, South Dakota...

When Layla awoke from her much-needed rest, she found herself alone in the house with even Brutus having been gone with her father on either another of his long drinking binges or hunting. She sighed as she set to work cleaning up the mess he left behind and turned her attention to trying to figure out what she wanted for dinner that night. She was still reeling emotionally over the fact that Brick had come to her house with Sheriff Tillman and asked about her mother. She barely recalled the impulsive blonde and her innate desire to either be famous or to be with a man that added a bit of fun to her otherwise dull existence. Layla sighed as she shuffled about the kitchen annoyed that her mother had even been the subject of topic for anyone, especially Brick Kenneally.

Layla sighed as she thought back to her time at the Old Mill with Brick. The shower she took had done wonders for her aching body after such a long and strenuous day of her diving head-first into the uncharted waters of womanhood. He was as gentle as he could have possibly been before desire overtook him and he'd been none too subtle about pounding her insides like a madman. She smirked recalling how good he felt despite how nervous she'd been and the residual ache after the fact.

She'd never known anything like it in her life and wondered briefly if that was why the girls at school were always so keen on giving the boys a go whenever the mood struck them and they could be out of the line of sight of adults and teachers. She sighed as she set to work with her meal plan for the evening. She's gotten just about everything out and ready to make preparations when a knock at the front door shifted her attention.

With a sigh she stepped away from the counter where she'd been preparing dinner and moved toward the front door. Her legs still felt a bit heavy with each step but she couldn't help but smile at the memory as to why that had been when she finally reached the door and opened it to find the very reason standing right there on her front porch looking as impressive and ruggedly handsome as ever.

"Brick." said Layla with a smile as she nearly leaped into his arms.

Brick caught her and pulled her close to him as he entered the house lifting her high enough for her to wrap her legs around his waist as they shared a series of heated kisses. Layla knew they were being reckless, but she couldn't ignore the heat that filled her the moment she'd been back in his powerful massive arms.

He kicked the door closed as they moved inside and Brick held her up against it briefly recalling how he'd taken her back at the old mill against a dust covered wall. His arousal had been evident for both of them as he growled lowly in her ear and she clung to him wrapping her arms around his neck.

There was no sign of her so called father and the dog had been missing as well.

"You home alone little girl?" asked Brick with an arched brow.

Layla nodded as she attempted to kiss him again lost in the heat that filled her young body awakening her newfound sexual desire for the older man that had showed her the benefits of it before hand.

Brick smirked as he carried her around the living room while she continued to cling to him and kiss his lips. He spotted a note left for her by her father on the coffee table and smirked.

"The old man left you somethin' "he said with a grin.

Layla sighed as she turned her attention to the note as Brick held it up for her to see it.

"Gone Out To Do Some Hunting At Wayside Creek, Little Girl, Be Back In A Couple Weeks, Took Brutus, Clean The House And No Boys Over, Lest I Have To Use My Shotgun."- Jarrett Quinn.

Layla rolled her eyes. It figured he'd take off for two weeks and it was mostly to avoid having to answer her questions about why the cops were looking for so called dead mother.

"Says here no boys over." said Brick with a sly smirk. "Good thing I ain't a boy."

Layla shook her head and kissed his lips once more as he carried her toward the kitchen to see what she'd been in the middle of making before his unscheduled visit to her place.

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

The Kitchen, The Quinn Residence, Backwoods, Temperance, South Dakota...

The towering biker brute known as Brick had let Layla down on her own two feet as he ventured with her toward the kitchen and she led him by the hand with a smile on her lovely young face. Her father's note had put her mind at ease about his whereabouts' and the fact that Brick could stay the night with her if he so chose to. She approached the counter where she'd taken out what she was going to prepare for dinner and he smirked.

"Didn't know you could actually cook." he said watching her from behind, his eyes fixated on her shapely arse as he ran his hands along her waist and lean down to kiss her neck once he caught up to her and pinned her young body against the counter.

"Mmmm." moaned Layla as she leaned back into her brazen lover's warm embrace.

She had not known how she'd gone so long without knowing the sweet bliss of this handsome older man's body being against hers, but she didn't wish to go back to a life where that had been a possibility.

Brick slowly kissed her neck and shoulder before releasing her from his grasp and turning his attention toward the call of nature that plagued him in secret ever since his arrival.

"I'm gonna go use the john, and see about what to do for the time being while you finish cooking." he said kissing her once more before taking his leave of Layla, much to the swooning teen's disappointment.

With a sigh she turned her attention back to cooking dinner, upping her portions to include her boyfriend now that her father had informed her that he wouldn't be returning home for a while.

As she began chopping ingredients and setting about dishes for cooking, Layla had briefly thought it strange that her father had taken off so suddenly to hunt when he'd only just gotten back from fishing. She sighed once more coming to the conclusion that he was intent on ignoring her and avoiding her possible questions about her mother like so many times before.

Layla shook her head and shifted her focus back to making diner for her and Brick, a small smile crept across her face as she realized her actual boyfriend was going to have dinner with her.
