1.1

If I may, I would like to propose a question.

Do you think the world has good and evil?

It's a complex question rather, but I do know for a fact that most people would answer with, "Why yes, of course, it's the same thing as having kindness and evil intent, so for the most part, we do have both."

Or, to make it simpler, "Yes."

I too would say yes. Only if I could.

'Kian, the world has evil. And that alone from the start.'

Ah, I guess I should go back to what I was talking about. Good and evil are always somehow connected. As for an example, you can find both good and evil intent from a person. They can somehow save you with good intent but kill other people with evil intent. I guess to break it down, even more, imagine yourself as looking at your best friend in trouble. You would obviously help them, with kindness. But, what about the person you absolutely hate? Would you go through all the troubles to help them? I'm not so sure about that. You see, based on what connections you have with them, your mind eliminates the factors of not help them and helping them.

If I had to choose, helping both of them would be a trouble for me and a bother, so I wouldn't do that in the first place.

Which is why I didn't want to get into this situation.

"You right there! Help me. Tch, that bastard stole-"

What harsh words coming out from a gentle-looking woman. She actually looked pretty decent, with long, dark brown hair, no; black hair shining in pure sunlight, glowing eyes that seemed like if a man saw her he would've helped her right away. Of course, I was one of them.

"Hey, are you listening to me? Hah, I guess you idiot can't even catch a thief, can't you? Aren't you waste for a man with a good looking face."

Am I supposed to feel happy or what...

These situations are the worst, direct requests from a stranger, especially when out in public. If I reject her, wouldn't that make me a trashy guy? Wait, in the first place, that girl was asking me for help disrespectfully.

"Can you ask me to help in a more respectful voi-"

"Rejected, just help me get the guy. You seem like you're going to HY Advancement High School, aren't you? We go to the same school, so we both take the blame if we're late for school."

Ah, yes. HY Advancement High school. People don't know what the HY stands for, neither do I. It was a school developed for people to reach to greater positions in the government. Since we don't exactly have "countries" anymore in 8017, we need many government officials to look over the domains of this world. There are a total of 1,384 government officials and a total of 138,348 minor workers working directly for the president of this land. And the HY Advancement High school was especially known for its graduates to remain in higher positions in the "Trion." Trion is a group of the highest positions of the government, they can even be the candidates for president, take care of the whole entire military divisions, including budgets for this land and many more.

The reason why I enrolled? Well, that's-

"You go that way, I'll go this way, the guy stole my backpack, but it's extremely heavy so he wouldn't be so far away; hurry!"

"Oh, alright."

Right, I've been rejected by her. I don't think it was that painful, but I still felt saddened. I started to run in the direction the girl told me to run.

Oh, I found him. Not that far away from the streets of Grisen, a city located alongside the capital. Behind the ally, I found a man heavily breathing, exhausted from running. I thought that it was weird since this place was about 5 minutes away from where he stole the girl's backpack, and for a man well built like that shouldn't have a problem stealing a backpack...

Enough thoughts, more actions.

I threw him a bag of garbage right next to a trashcan, and as he struggled to look for the person who hit him, I quickly grasped his hands with one hand, pushing the trash bag more to his face with the other.

"Ack! You F**ker, who the F**k are you? Let go of me you-"

Again, harsh words coming out from a man who I, this time expected to have harsh language.

"But wasn't it you who stole her backpack right? You were the one in evil but why are you trying so hard to get out of the man who's trying to give a girl's bag back?"

It was obvious this guy was just trying to survive, but hey, I got to survive too.

I took back the backpack and threw the man on a pile of trash bags, which he wouldn't suffer too much since trash bags are rather more soft than the concrete grounds. Just then, I felt something enormously heavy on my right hand.

That girl, just how much does this backpack weigh? 30? If I had to guess it would be around 35 kilograms (about 77 pounds). Did she just put thousands of rocks inside this or what? I don't have the right to judge, I guess.

After the confusion, I turned myself around and left the ally, going back to the place were the girl and I separated.

Just as I saw the girl waiting, I heard the bell ringing. From the HY Advancement High School that was a street away, of course.

This is bad.
