1 I die

A quiet night, a factory building on the outskirts of the city.

The factory was deserted, as all the workers were only there from morning to evening.

The bodies of two guards with knives in their necks lay in front of the entrance.

And deep inside the factory...

Something like a shadow moved quickly.

The shadow jumped towards the factory window.

It presented a scene full of the crisis experienced at that moment.

The wind ruffled the black hair of the running man.

"Huu huu..."

Running breathlessly as if it were a matter of life and death. Holding onto his shoulder, which was dripping with blood. Drops of sweat were dripping down his forehead as well.

But that was then.

"Shoot!!!"

*BANG!

A bullet was fired directly into his right shoulder and...

"Ugh!"

The pain stimulated his brain, causing him to lose his balance and roll on the ground. Then he reluctantly decided to his back against the wall.

*THUD!

"Shit!"

The black-haired man cursed his current situation. With a face full of anger towards the person who approached him.

Shortly after...

Several footsteps echoed in the dark hallway. Only one step stood out, as if it had already won. A group of men appeared, and in the middle of them was a man who looked like a gangster, with a rifle on his shoulder and a mocking smile on his face.

"Boss, we caught him...!"

"Hahahaha... finally, a sneaky bastard like you is cornered."

The black-haired man just stared without answering. The gunshot wound was causing throbbing pain, but he had no time to worry about such things.

"Hagan! How dare you betray me!"

Hagan sneered and replied.

"Come on Vale, don't blame me. I also want the highest position you hold."

Vale gritted his teeth as he racked his brain to get out of this dangerous situation.

'Damn, I didn't know it would come to this.' Vale thought.

At first the plan went smoothly, but instead countless variables appeared. This caused Vale's plan to go awry.

The mistake caused casualties, namely Vale's men. His subordinates died protecting Vale himself, who panicked because his plan wasn't going the way he wanted. In other words, it caused Vale's psychology to deviate.

Vale feels regret and anger at the same time.

Vale was a world-renowned gangster and swindler. He is always confident in his actions. Whether it was disguising himself, stealing national treasures, or deceiving businessmen and officials.

A terrifying talent that not even hundreds of five-star police detectives could touch.

But one thing you should know, Vale has never killed or cheated poor people. Instead, he helps poor people who have no place to live.

Vale joined an illegal organization and used his talent to rise to a higher position.

"The higher-ups all agree that your talent is very bad. It would be dangerous to let you live, hahaha..."

Hearing these words, Vale was both shocked and hurt.

"What do you mean?"

A loud voice echoed through the factory. Hagan smiled as he saw Vale suffering.

"Think about it, will the hundreds of officials you fooled be silent? Of course those old pigs will bribe the High Elders to wipe you out."

"Impossible..."

Vale's mind went blank for a long moment. It was not long before he closed his eyes to accept reality.

Hagan's heart was filled with joy, waiting for Vale's face to be filled with despair.

"I understand, but..."

Contrary to Hagan's expectations, Vale opened his eyes, a mocking smile forming on his face.

"It's only natural that a talentless person like you would envy me, my nails..."

The atmosphere instantly froze. And then...

Veins suddenly popped out of Hagan's forehead as Vale provoked him. To him, Vale's talent was an injustice, and that was a sensitive subject, according to Hagan. His face was red as if his heart had been pierced.

"You bastard... I'll kill you!"

Hagan raised his rifle and pointed it at the suddenly relaxed Vale.

Seeing this scene, Hagan subconsciously frowned.

What was he thinking in this situation? Shouldn't he be begging for mercy for his life? Hagan thought.

The Vale he knew was a cunning person who always escaped by buying time for allies to come to her rescue; Vale's trick was to talk to his opponent when he had nowhere to run.

It is impossible if he has other tricks up his sleeve.

Doubts arose in Hagan, every escape route Vale had was blocked, and even his subordinates and everyone associated with Vale had been killed.

Only one thing crossed Hagan's mind.

What Vale was doing now was just a bluff.

In the meantime.

Vale used "cold reading". This generally meant reading someone without any prior preparation. It is a technique that draws information from a person through casual conversation.

The information Vale got was...

'Doubt. Hagan must be wondering if I have any other tricks up my sleeve.'

Vale turned his gaze to the three people behind Hagan who were Hagan's subordinates. Hagan's subordinates looked at their boss with question marks over their heads. Subconsciously, Vale's black eyes flashed.

Gap!

Without hesitation, Vale tapped the back of his black shoes on the ground. Surprisingly, four blades appeared in the shoe on the right side of Vale's foot.

Vale raised his right foot and kicked the air. The four blades then flew straight at Hagan and his subordinates.

"Keuk."

"Keuk."

"Keuk."

*THUD!

*THUD!

*THUD!

Vale had calculated the approximate distance and estimated where the attack would fall. So he roughly estimated what he would do next.

And as a result, three of Hagan's men died by knife. Meanwhile, Hagan was hit by a knife in the middle of the knuckle of his right hand, knocking his rifle to the ground.

"Ugh, what the hell!" Hagan exclaimed in panic.

Vale didn't miss the opportunity and pulled another knife out of his boot, lunging at Hagan without thinking.

Vale kicked and didn't give Hagan time to react. The sound of metal scraping against the wind cut through Hagan's chest.

Blood splattered everywhere, Hagan moaned in pain and a clot of blood spurted from his mouth.

"How dare you...!"

Hagan's eyes were red with hate. Vale did not miss this opening and took advantage of Hagan's emotions.

Without thinking, Hagan kicked the ground and lunged at Vale. Vale didn't panic, even though his hands weren't working, the only part of his body Vale could use were his legs.

Vale's leg position changed and Vale made a stance with his limbs. With all his might, Vale rushed towards Hagan, who had expressed his intention to kill.

The two rushed to kill each other.

"Kuaaaa....Vale you bastard!!!"

"You fool."

A faint smile formed on Vale's lips as he saw Hagan's carelessness.

Vale rolled his eyes to the side and changed the direction of his steps toward the wall.

Vale's right leg shot forward and stepped on the wall, which was being used as a stepping stone. Vale kicked mercilessly at Hagan's still bleeding chest.

Reflexively, Hagan crossed his muscular arms to block Vale's attack.

Vale kicked out his tongue as he saw his attack thwarted by Hagan.

He immediately pressed his right foot down. Hagan felt the weight of gravity on his body. With the veins protruding from his neck, he pushed Vale against the wall with all his might.

Vale knew what Hagan was doing, so he jumped again with his right foot and twisted his body.

Hagan, surprised by what Vale was doing, quickly turned his body around.

Before Hagan could turn around, Vale kicked with all his might with his left foot with the shoe that still had the sharp blade on it, aiming without hesitation for Hagan's neck and...

*SHRIINGGH-!

*THUD!

Hagan's head was decapitated and fell to the ground.

Confirming that Hagan was dead, Vale slumped to the ground, gasping for breath.

It was obvious that Vale's stamina was gone, and Vale had lost so much blood.

The moment he tried to lift his upper body, Vale's entire body instinctively froze.

Because...

A thought crossed Vale's mind.

'Hagan is the stubborn and hot-tempered type. There's no way the higher-ups, who know my abilities, would arbitrarily choose that stupid bastard.'

Vale's suspicion of the plan the higher-ups had hatched to kill Vale grew stronger. There was no way the higher-ups' plan would end there, clearly Hagan was just a decoy.

Vale's intuition told his that something big was about to happen.

And suddenly —

The sound of an airplane could be heard from far above the factory building. Vale stepped out of the building and raised his head to the ceiling.

Then.

"Kuhahahahahaha..."

A laugh escaped Vale's mouth.

"I knew it. I knew it. Haa... You crazy bastard. I never thought they'd bomb this whole area. Shit!"

He kicked the ground as if he had given up. It seemed he had nowhere to go.

"Advance dead, retreat is also dead....Heh...."

A bitter smile appeared on Vale's face. Shortly after, a large shadow fell on the spot where Vale was standing.

*NGENK!!!

4 km...

3 km...

2 km...

1 km...

The airplane bombs came closer and closer to the ground, it was more and more like a walking disaster, but Vale remained calm and slowly opened his mouth.

"My dear Elena, I hope to meet you in heaven."

Elena was the name of Vale's deceased lover, she was the only woman Vale loved in his entire life.

Death was upon Vale, but he remained calm. He hoped that God would grant his wish to meet his beloved after death.

5 meters...

As the plane bomb approached Vale, his field of vision instantly turned white.

*BOOM!

And the famous swindler named Vale Milan was pronounced dead.
