Chapter 41. Without Warning

The night is late and still, Alpha Charles is not back from the meeting with the warriors. From what happened between us last night, I was not expecting that the same thing would happen again. That he would be extra sweet and he would sleep beside me. My thoughts are already occupied with what might happen to my people in the South.
However, the warmth and heat of his body beside me is what I craved the most right now. I need him and want him all to myself but I could not do anything about it at the moment. So I shut my eyes tightly, hoping that soon I would get some sleep.
I must have dozed off a little but the next time I opened my eyes, there was a movement inside the dark room. A bit of light coming from the window has failed to give me an image since I turned the automatic bulbs off before I lay down on the bed. I tried to blink a couple of times and then I felt his presence, just like a dark shadow that moves at the corner of the bed towards me.
