"How else do you think I got those books?" I smiled.

I had been using this excuse because even though they knew I was lying, there was virtually no way of proving that I was lying (unless, of course, they invaded my Eckart family villa but that would require them to actually know that I'm an Eckart).

I used it despite its flimsiness, mainly because I find it highly amusing; everyone knows that my story has more plot holes than a cheese block, but they have no way of proving it.

As it turns out, however, that this lie about all my knowledge from being books is much more useful that I initially thought.  It has the potential to give weight to my new story.

Sometimes, my genius, it generates gravity.

Back then, I subconsciously used a lie that would be useful in the far future. Only a genius of the highest calibre can achieve such a feat.

"Huh? No, no, no, that's not possible," Voloha vehemently refused my statement.
