Lunox doesn't really care what the undead knight thinks, she just saved him on a whim.

And it's not like he can pose a threat to her in his current situation.

Lunox is not stupid. She will never bring someone as dangerous as the right hand man of the Necromancer Queen in her territory until she's sure they're harmless.

She checked him over before, knowing that his soul bead, the source of power of all undead is greatly damage to the point of breaking. The only one who have a way of fixing the undead knight's soul bead is his Queen, who is currently far far away.

The ever-powerful Leomord is currently as fragile as the lowest level undead skeleton. Just a wave of her palm can send him back to the afterlife.

Feeling the knight's sight on her body, Lunox focused her attention back.

Honestly, she doesn't know what to do with him right now. Even bringing him back was a bad idea...

"You... are not my opponent. Please behave yourself during your... stay."

With that last sentence, she left the man. Taking a deep breathe, Lunox started thinking what kind of excuse she'll tell Belerick for the sudden 'disappearance' of the undead knight.

Leomord was left on his own thoughts.

Indeed, he does not pose a threat to the Twilight Goddess in his current self.

He himself immediately knew his situation the moment his consciousness returned. The feeling of being empty, the weak pulsing of the dark energy within, Leomord actually finds out that he... somewhat prefers this.

Without the constant cold and violent energy that powers up his undead body, Leomord has the illusions that he's still human. He found out that he prefers his state this way, though knowing his current weakness makes him apprehensive and wary but he can adapt, its better than the constant negative emotion of despair.

He's not bound and he can move freely. His situation is actually better than what he imagined.

He observed the room once again and seeing no suspicious items, Leomord put down his heart. Walking towards the door, he briefly wondered if the girl would lock himself in, -even if he's currently weak, a wooden door cannot stop him- , grasping the knob, he twisted it and...

The door opened...

A complicated look flashed in Leomord's face.

Is he... really a prisoner?

Just like the room he found himself, the rest of the house if filled with a warmth and refreshing feeling, a stark contrast to what Leomord is used to since his resurrection.

The house he's in seems to be a two-story house, with four rooms on the second floor, one being the room he awakened in. There's also a terrace that showed the scene from outside and Leomord was immediately attracted.

There are living people. Lively, happy, smiling without a care in the world. Leomord unconsciously grasped the railing, his eyes trailing all over the bright and smiling faces of all the people passing by.

A deep ache spread to his heart, bringing him immense sorrow and pain.

Once upon a time, his beloved kingdom was just like this, full of happy citizens.

During his breaks from his knight duties, he would go the most populated area in their kingdom, content in watching the liveliness around him and engulfing himself in the wonderful atmosphere brought by the people he sworn to protect.

Then everything change, the dark cloud hid the sun and never let it shone again in their kingdom, the people he wanted to protect fell towards eternal damnation, and everything was surrounded by darkness.

A darkness that they can never escape from.

'Belerick knows something.'

This is the first thing Lunox thought of when she found the tree man in the garden.

Belerick was invited by the Moniyan Empire to assist in their war with the Necromancer Queen, Vexana. Lunox decided to come along and provide her assistance if need.

The nobles of the Moniyan Empire assigned their convoy a villa in the central town, where most nobles lives. The house that she suspected that was left by her parents is currently in the civilian area, though nobody knows she lives there currently, other than Belerick.

Staring at the usual kind expression of the Nature's Guardian, Lunox inexplicably feels that he knows what happened, making her excuse stuck in her throat.

And when he smiled, his eyes twinkled in a rare moment of mischief.

Lunox knew that she was discovered.

Holding down the blush that appeared on her cheecks, Lunox cleared her throat to gather her composure.

"I took him in for monitoring purposes." She defended herself. She no longer needs to elaborate who she was referring to.

"I understand, child." Belerick laughed, in a way that cleared of of Lunox troubles. Belericks attitude assured Lunox, no longer bothering about her previous worries about the existence of the undead knight.

In the first place, she's currently under the protection of the tree man, and Belerick will never let anything bad happen to her. He'll always be the first to know if she's under threat.

The feeling of being protected sent a flutter of happiness in her heart.

Of course, other than being worried about Belerick's reaction towards her previous decision, she needs to confide about her feelings towards a certain undead knight.

"I hesitated. Instead of sending a death blow, I pulled him out of death's grasp. He's dangerous even with his damaged soul bead, I am wary but I do not have any hostility towards him. Do I know him... from before?" Lunox is confused at her own emotions. Her missing memories left a gap in her whole being, stripping her of a fundamental element that makes her 'Lunox.'

Belerick just listened silently to her words, never interrupting. That's what Lunox likes about him, like a steady ground that supports and dispels all doubts.

"I cannot help you in your missing memories, but on you're own emotions, I believe you should explore them yourself."

He smiled.

"Do not doubt yourself, oh Twilight Goddess."
