The Heart of Sea

Aaron stared deep into Jey's eyes, who tried hard to divert her gaze on the surroundings. Aaron smiled a little and got up.

"It's 3 pm now. Are you hungry? Would you like to have a late lunch or eat something light before having an early dinner?"

Jey let out a soft sigh of relief as she considered Aaron's offer. She did not expect to fall asleep that long. It is quite late now for lunch, and it's too early for dinner. Jey decided to fill her stomach with some snacks.

The two decided to go to a cafe not far from the S Group and buy some cakes and coffee.

In a room decorated with a women's paintings sits a man with white hair that almost fills his head and a stick in his right hand. While looking at the large portraits in front of him and hearing his subordinates speak, the man gave a sinister smile.

"So that little girl has found that witness that night and acted quickly with the police..."

"Hmm, not bad. Blood of Johnson is indeed flowing in the girl's body. Unfortunately, when she was just learning to stand up, I had planned all this. Hahaha," scorn and sinister laughter filled the room.

Anyone who listened to the laughter couldn't help but feel all the hairs on their bodies rise. The goosebumps and the fear ran down deep to their bones.

A person who looked like he was in his forties stood still and stared at the older man. Didn't dare to raise his head and look around and react like his boss.

"Go and finish off every trace that leads to us. This time without mercy." commanded the white-haired man in his strict and stern tone.

Jey wasn't aware that at the moment, someone is plotting against her plans. Right now, she is enjoying her free time with Aaron. Even though they didn't do anything specific and just sat with each other with the food in front of them, Jey felt satisfied and happy. Warm and simple.

Time flies in the blink of eyes. The sun has replaced the moon and stars, and yellowing leaves filled the summer. The air is no longer scorching hot but cools the skin.

Aaron and Jey had arrived at their destination for dinner. That morning, Aaron had already booked a table for them. When the two arrived, the restaurant manager was already waiting at the front gate, greeted them, and escorted them directly to the VIP room.

Like its name-Heart of Sea, this restaurant is built on a vast expanse of sea. The blue saltwater surrounds it. Far from city noise and air pollution, this place is perfect for someone who seeks a soul-healing place.

Just sitting and gazing at that calm sea makes anyone see it feel comfort and serenity in their minds and hearts. Jey also felt the same way when she was in the room reserved by Aaron.
